Work Text:
“I shouldn’t have said what I said, Patty.”
Patty stopped eating her fried rice and looked up at Allison.
“You really shouldn’t have.”
“You know I don’t actually want anything to happen to your brother.”
“How would you feel if I talked about your aunt the way you talk about my brother?”
“I’d hate it. But you gotta admit, he sucks.”
“So does your aunt. How do you think they ended up sleeping together? Hell, so do we. We tried to kill a guy, although he sucked too.”
“Is that how we ended up sleeping together? Because we suck?”
“Guess so,” said Patty, returning to her rice.
“Will you please just accept my god damn apology?” Said Allison, loudly and suddenly. Patty stared at her for a moment.
“Apology accepted.”
“I just don’t like when we fight. I get sweaty and anxious and it’s like I’m in physical pain.”
Patty sat down her food again (it was getting cold) and held Allison’s hand.
“You don’t got anything to be afraid of with me. It’s just an argument. A blimp. I’m not him.”
Allison put her head on Patty’s shoulder and began to cry.
