5 times they tried to kiss and 1 time they finally did

Summary:

Agnes and Renne have been dating for a good month and a half now, both agreeing they’d like to take it slow.
They’d also agreed they wanted to keep their relationship private until they felt comfortable enough to share it.

This only made having their first kiss all the harder! It’s like everyone around Agnes was trying to foil her plans!

Chapter 1: Attempt 1: The Corridor

Chapter Text

Aramis’ corridor was quiet, the last of the dusky light bleeding through the windows. Student council activities had run late, and the usual noise of the academy was gone, leaving room for peace and quiet. Agnes walked beside Renne, their footsteps the only sound.

Before turning towards the stairs, they stopped by one of the windows to look out at the orange-streaked sky.

‘This is such a romantic view… this is as good a time as any…” thought Agnes.

The young girl reached for Renne’s hand. Her senpai fingers laced with hers comfortably. Agnes looked over. Renne was already watching her, her expression soft.

The golden hue of the sky only served to make her look more beautiful and majestic.

Agnes’s heart thumped hard against her ribs. She leaned in slightly, her gaze dropping to Renne’s lips.

It seemed like Renne got the hint as she decided to inch closer to her also.

Until heavy footsteps echoed from the stairwell, growing louder.

They sprang apart, putting a respectful distance between them just as the security guard rounded the corner.

“Still here, ladies? You’re some hard workers,” he said, his voice booming in the quiet hall. “But it’s getting pretty late. You should head back soon!”

“Of course. Thank you,” Renne said, her voice disturbingly even.

They walked out together into the cool evening air. At the gate, Renne turned to her. “You have work with Arkride Solutions tonight, right?”

Agnes nodded, her voice still stuck somewhere in her throat.

“You should hurry, then..” Renne smiled. ” Good evening, Agnes-chan.”

They went their separate ways. Agnes clutched her bag strap, her face warm.

Next time, she thought, not in an open space.
