Player wrote the last letter, put their signature on the mail. After countless writings trying to say ‘I love you.’ To each resident of Heartopia for Valentine’s Day is difficult to say the least. Worrying over what gift to give to each individual to convey the message of gratitude has been hectic for the past few days. All the more difficult after only knowing them for a month!
Player pour the wax over the letter and stamp it with their signature seal. A heart surrounding the stars, they got it specially made after remembering Valentine's Day coming up.
Player had carefully choreographed the music with tunes that resonated with them and Annie. They hoped she would like this and they added the last touch of a pink rose, yellow rose and a faint perfume smell of hydrangeas.
For that Annie’s gift is done, now they just need to practice what they want to say to her. Player stand in front of the mirror and strike their best smile though it calmed out as force and crooked. They tried again a softer smile but almost borderline a sneer. The player huffed in response at their own reaction.
“Okay, maybe the mirror trick doesn’t work at all… we’re just going to YOLO this.” Player said fire was burning in their eyes. “Alright, Annie’s gift is done, now who’s next…” Player spin a wheel inside their head and it lands on the Insect Master. “Naniwa it is!”
Player went to their massive terrarium where miniature life thrives, the player carefully looks around for the rarest bug they caught. And in that terrarium they found the most ruby brilliant red ladybug they have with seven spots. They wore gloves and carefully reached into the terrarium to get to the ladybug, who lay unaware of the giant crane hand looming over them. Player managed to successfully scoop up the ladybug and put it inside the box where it had access to food and water.
“Spent 3-days and 3 nights just waiting for this special one to spawn but finally!” Player look at the ladybug which is frozen in terror as they notice two big starry eyes staring at them. “I think he’ll like you.. hopefully..” the player pondered again, worried but this was the only rare insect they had. “No! I absolutely think he would adore you!” They said to the ladybug who’s shaking in fear though the player doesn’t notice.
Player then put it beside Annie’s gift on top of the desk and a letter on top of the cage. Alright next one… the wheel spin and spin landing on Harry. Player still remember the stumble on that stupid circle. The whole duck parkour was fun, thrilling even trying to see a new record of completing the whole challenge. The best they could do was 12.34 seconds which was their best but Harry proved to be more athletic than them with a solid 10 seconds record. They jumped and even did a flip landing solidly on the platform in front of them showing his skills.
Was player jealous of such skills? Absolutely. How could anyone not be jealous of such fluidity and excellent athletics? No wonder he’s the main person taking care of the Duck Obstacle Course, indeed very worthy of the title and more eager to overcome him just like all the other mentors.
Now what would be the perfect gift for him? New sneakers? No. A duck? No. A rare fish? No. Just what would be perfect…
Player scanned around their room, finding nothing that would be good for Harry. Then they look at their warehouse, searching through piles of items, duck photos, rare fish, woods, meteorite, puzzles, food… nothing!
Absolutely nothing!
“Aghhh!” A distress sound came from the warehouse, Player put both of their hands on top of their head. Thinking very hard till steam came from their head. “Harry, what do you like?!” Player shouted in their warehouse, an echo sounding in the room.
They looked through the latest gacha, searching for an item that perhaps he would like.. his latest favorite is currently ice skating so maybe.. oh! Found it! I’ll give him this Manatee Poseidon! This will protect him every time he goes surfing!
Player mentally pat themselves on the back and package the Manatee up nicely and for today, and attach the letter on top of the gift. Three down and many more to go.
“Well.. this is going to be difficult trying to figure out what to give..” The player stared at the three gifts. “Future me will deal with it for now I need a drink.”
