Kenma was up, playing one of his video games, when he heard the ’thud’ on his window. He put his console down, then walked to his window and pulled his curtains apart. Down on the street, he could see his best friend with another rock in his hand. When their eyes met and he saw how bloodied Kenma’s eyes were due to his all-nighter last night (it was friday) Kenma saw the forming frown on Kuroo’s face, but it stopped halfway. It was worrying.
“What are you doing, Kuroo?” Kenma asked leaning forward a bit. “You have your key to the house.”
“Forgot it at home,” he heard the answer, which worried him even more. Kuroo was one of the most collected people Kenma knew. Him forgetting things was really unusual. Kenma closed his window, then left his home. By the time he opened his front door, Kuroo was already standing there. He pulled him inside by his sleeve.
“Want some tea?” He asked Kuroo as the other tooed his shoes off. Kuroo shook his head, then started walking up the stairs. Kenma followed him silently. As soon as they reached Kenma’s room, Kuroo sat down on the bed. Kenma said down beside him, waiting patiently.
”I had a bad dream,” Kuroo started, and Kenma nodded, though his worry grew by the minute. Kuroo hadn’t had a bad dream since they were kids. “I don’t remember what it was about, but after I woke up, the only thing on my mind was the urge to see you.”
In the next moment, Kuroo’s arms were around his neck, and he pushed Kenma down on the bed, pressing all of his weight on him. Kenma groaned in discomfort, patting his back gently.
“If you need cuddles, at least get us into a better position!” He wheezed. Kuroo turned onto his side, pulling Kenma along.
When they were high enough on the bed, he pulled Kenma flat against his chest, wrapping himself around him like a cocoon. Kenma wanted to ask him more about the dream, but decided not to. Instead, he wrapped his arms around Kurro as well, burying his face into the other’s neck. Before falling asleep, his last thought was that they would both catch a cold without a proper blanket on them.
