Chapter Text
I saw him at the post office today. I was wrapping up a package when I saw him from the corner of my eye. He’s hard to miss. I saw him slowly push open the swinging glass door, duck beneath the frame, and step into the post office. When he stood back up to his full height, he nearly reached the ceiling. My heart began to race with fear, but no one else even seemed to notice him. I was frozen over my half-wrapped package as I watched him cross the room. His movements are so slow and eerie, and his long thin legs are like stilts. I saw him reach into his jacket pocket and pull out a long white envelope. He put the envelope into the drop-off slot, just like he was a normal person sending a letter. I was still staring at him when he suddenly turned his head and looked at me. Even though he has no face, I could swear he was looking right at me. I turned away as fast as possible. I didn’t look up again until the person in line behind me got annoyed with how long I was taking. By then the tall man was gone. Am I going crazy?
