Just talk to her.
That seemed be much easier said than done. Cat was like the sun and the stars combined—so bright and beautiful that she felt out of reach, like someone who was simply unattainable for her.
Laila was... okay with admiring Cat from afar. It felt safer that way. She never intended to fall for Cat when they met. But as days turned into weeks, she found herself falling more and more for her.
Then, everything changed the day she heard Cat say those three beautiful words: "I love you." At that moment, it felt like her heart had completely stopped.
Laila took Cat by the hand and led her to her room, where her own feelings fell from her lips. "I love you, too," Laila whispered, gently tucking a stray piece of hair behind Cat's ear. Then, Laila leaned down and kissed her.
"It was about damn time you kissed me! " Laila couldn’t help but laugh as she pressed her forehead against Cat's. In that moment, she felt a wave of happiness wash over her, like everything she had been waiting for finally come true. Now that it was finally happening, she felt relieved, as if all her worries had vanished. This kiss meant the first blossom of their relationship; it was full of a bubbling sense of promise and joy that made her heart race.
"Don't stop, Laila."
And who was Laila but a woman in love with Cat? So, she pressed her lips to Cat's once more as each kiss felt sweeter. It was like they were the only two people in the world as everything faded away. Laila thought about the times she had dreamed of this, and now it was real. And she knew that this was just the beginning for them.
