Work Text:

Spin the Bottle

Severus Snape walked into the Slytherin common room to see a bunch of sixth and seventh years sitting in a circle on the floor. In the center of the circle was a bottle, spinning slowly to a stop. When it finally stopped, it was pointed at him.

"What are you lot doing up at this hour? You should all be in bed; you have classes in the morning."

He looked at Draco Malfoy, who was looking nervous and guilty. Millicent Bulstrode started laughing, "Go on, Draco. Rules are rules."

Crabbe and Goyle, Draco's cronies, were laughing, too. "Go for it, man. You have to."

Draco stood up, stalked across the room, and kissed Snape square on the lips.

"What the Hell do you think you're doing?" Snape spat.

"We're playing Spin the Bottle, sir. You picked a bad moment to walk in." Draco was flushed, presumably from embarrassment.

"They were playing what?" asked Albus Dumbledore.

"Spin the Bottle."

"And Draco kissed you?"

Snape sighed. "Yes, sir."

The old man's eyes twinkled. "Sounds like an interesting game. Maybe we should try it at the next staff meeting."

Snape got up and stalked out of the room. It was bad enough being kissed by Draco, but being made fun of be the Headmaster was even worse. What possessed him to tell Dumbledore, anyway?

"I hear you had quite the party in the Slytherin common room last night, Severus."

One look shut Minerva up. "I suppose Dumbledore told you?"

"No, I heard it from the Weasley twins, who were telling Oliver Wood."

"Oh Gods! Does the whole school know?" Snape surveyed the students eating dinner. Many were staring at him.

"Probably," Minerva smirked.

Snape sank down into his chair, trying to disappear.

Snape didn't want to teach this class - not today. He had the seventh year Gryffindors and Slytherins and the last thing he wanted to do was face Draco.

Silence fell when he walked into the dungeons. A bottle was spinning on his desk. He looked at it, then at Harry Potter, who had apparently just spun it. The bottle stopped. At Snape.

"No!" he shouted, losing his usual cool reserve.

"He has to, Professor, it's the rules." Draco was smirking at him.

"This game is against school rules. You are forbidden to play it, ever again. Especially in my dungeons!"

Potter had approached while Snape was ranting at Draco. He spun the older wizard around, and kissed him, tongue prying Snape's lips apart. Snape was disgusted to find himself kissing back.

The class erupted in laughter. Snape spun around and left the dungeons, vowing never to return.
