Chapter Text

Harry's teacher told that class that they would all have a pen pal for the next 3 months. She explained that a pen pal was a person that you exchanged letters with. She told the kids that their pen pals would be French students learning English just like them, but unlike them the students would all be 8 years old.

For the first letter that would change his life he simply wrote "hello my name is Harry Potter and I am a boy from England and I live in the village of Little Whinging. I am doing well. How are you doing? I hope you will be my friend. I live with my aunt, uncle and cousin."

This was Harry's chance to finally have a friend since his first mistake of thinking his name was freak. After learning his name was Harry Potter he could not understand why his aunt and uncle hated him so much he tried so hard. Why could they not love him like they did Dudley?

Once he got back home he started to do his chores wondering if his pen pal would respond and what they would say.

he hated cooking and doing the gardening he always hurt himself; he could not reach the stove properly and after the first time when he spilled oil on the floor, his aunt was so angry and yelling at him that day he thought his uncle would beat him, he knew it would happen but in a miracle he could not understand; his uncle and aunt agree he would only prep ingredients for dinner from then on, because even if they did not want or like the boy they would at least never place hands on a child. They never celebrate his birthday but at least he was clothed and had a roof even if his room was the cupboard under the stairs.

Fleur was told by English teacher that in order to help them improve their writing and reading skills in English they would be writing letters to pen pals who were 5 years old in a school in England since their English would be at a similar level and they would be able to improve together, when fleur received her first letter from her pen pal she had no clue the changes that would come to her life from this simple exercise.

After reading the letter her pen pals wrote, she wrote back to her new friend "hello harry potter I am Fleur Delacour, yes I will be your friend, I live in Gordes in France with my mom and dad. I hope that we may write many more letters to each other over the next 3 months. What do you like to do for fun?"

When she got home she told her mom all about the new pen pal she had.

Apolline Delacour loved to listen to her daughter tell her about her day at Non-Magiques school. She may work for the French ministry of magic but she believed a lot of wizards and witches struggled with the Non-Magiques because they did not stop to understand them.

Apolline asked with a curious smile "so fleur was there anything else interesting that happened at school or is the pen pal the most exciting thing that happened today?"

Fleur went on with all the excitement she could muster "well we also learned more math, and science the Non-Magiques have such an interesting understanding about storms."

Harry kept exchanging letters with Fleur back and for the next 3 months talking about everything from how he liked to read and draw to how he did not enjoy gardening at all.

In his letter he slowly started to open up to Fleur and in some of them he even talked about how he wished his aunt and uncle liked him and how they liked his cousin Dudley.

As the 3 month period was coming to a close he told Fleur in a letter that he wanted to keep sending her letters and she would be okay with that because it was nice to have a friend.

Fleur also enjoyed writing letters to Harry and reading his letters to her, sometimes she would worry about him as it did not seem to her that his uncle and aunt liked him. One letter made her so worried that she showed it to her mother.

Apolline for her part was incensed at how she thought his aunt and uncle treated him; she had half a mind to go over to them and hex them for the treatment from the letter Fleur had showed her. She thought this poor boy could possibly be the sweetest boy he had ever heard of. She would have to talk to her husband about a trip to England so she could at least check on the boy.

Fleur's letters back to Harry talk about her life and how she enjoyed living in France with her parents, and about her neighbors, the old couple next door that she called grandpa and grandma. She talked about the ballet classes she tried and other activities that she enjoyed that were Non-Magiques in nature.

She sometimes wishes she could tell him about the accidental magic and other magic things she did like her trip to Place Cachée.

In her last letter of the 3 month period she told him she would love to keep exchanging letters with him and how nice it was to have a friend like him and that she would always be his friend. The last letter he sent broke my heart a bit. It seemed to her that she was his only friend which she could not understand why.

On the 3rd of November Apolline and Marius Delacour approached their daughter smiling "Fleur we have to tell you something to tell you. We will be going to London for vacation for 2 weeks. Did you want to meet your friend Harry while we are there?"

Fleur's eyes widened as she looked at her mother and father "papa really I can meet 'arry? I have to write to him to see if he wants to meet and hang out if his uncle and aunt would let him."

Marius looked at his daughter "yes Fleur you can ask your friend if he will meet us. We can all go to the British museum and see some of the artifacts there we can play. Is it magical while we are there?"

Fleur wrote to Harry to ask his uncle and aunt if they would be willing to let him spend the day with them as they would be coming to London and she would love to meet her friend.

When Harry read Fleur's letter he dreaded asking his uncle and aunt if he could meet Fleur and her family. He thought they would just laugh at his face and tell him no he knew that they never let him have fun.

he decided to ask anyways he approached his uncle and aunt meekly during dinner "aunt Petunia, uncle Vernon could I possibly go to London to meet my pen pal to spend the day with her and her parents?"

Vernon and Petunia Dursley look at each other they were about to make fun of him and say no but they start to talk decide that if someone wanted the child for a while they could keep him for as long they want, they would have freak free time and they would enjoy it to there hearts content.

Vernon looked at Harry with contempt "Harry, how long will you be spending with them?" and asked them if he could spend a few days with them instead of one afternoon if they let you stay at least 3 days with them. You can and I will even drive you to London but any less and you can't as I will be very busy the next few weeks."

when fleur got harry letter back read it with her parents and as they read his letter it said "hello Fleur and Mr. and Ms. Delacour my uncle said that he will be very busy this week and I can only go if I could stay at least 3 days as he does not have the time to drive back and forth from London."

The Delacour all looked at each other Fleur with pleading eyes and her parents with worry in their Apolline was the first to speak "well Marius what do you think we could do all the Non-Magique things the first week and all the magical things the second week? it's too bad he is Non-Magique otherwise she could spend all 2 weeks with us."

Marius looked at his wife with a smile "yes I think that would work perfectly. Fleur please write to him and tell him we will be there on November 8th and we will meet him right in front of kings cross station at 7am."

When Harry received the new letter from Fleur he knew they would say no but he opened and read it a whole week they would let him stay with them for a whole week he showed his uncle the letter and his uncle agreed to drive him to King Cross at 7am the Friday with a bag packed.

and so Friday came and Harry was at kings cross station with his uncle at 6:50 am because his uncle was maybe a lot of things but late was not one of them. That was the only real saving grace about his uncle: he kept his word no matter what. So when they spotted a couple with a young girl and both the mother and daughter had silver hair he knew it was them from the photo they sent in the letter so he knew what they looked like. He approached them and with his mask of civility " hello the Delacours I presume."

When the Delacours saw Harry the first thing they noticed was how skinny he was. Mr. Delacour looked at Vernon while hiding their disgust with the man. " Hello, yes we are the Delacour. Thank you for letting Harry spend this week with us. We are sorry for the inconvenient timing, our daughter just would not stop talking about her pen pal."

They shook hands and after Vernon saw the family and decided they seemed like they would not harm the boy he said goodbye and let claiming he had to get to work.

Fleur tackled Harry with a big smile and with her accented English she screamed or at least started to scream "HELLO 'ARRY HOW ARE YOU? ARE YOU ......"

The rest did not come out as Harry panicked and in a bout of accidental magic silenced Fleur. He started to panic and start apologizing " I am sorry for being a freak I will leave. I can still catch up to my uncle.

both Apolline and Marius look at each other nearly laughing, what are the chances the boy is a wizard and they find out by accidental magic within a minute of meeting the boy.

They looked at Harry panicked and stopped him and with all the kindness they could. "Harry relax you are not a freak it was just accidental magic don't worry we are wizard we can give Fleur her voice back. you are not a freak, you are a wizard."

After undoing the silence charm on Fleur they told Harry multiple times he was not a freak and he calmed down.

and so they went to drop off all their stuff and the hotel they had booked, and then they would go to the museum.

Fleur had grabbed Harry's hand and they started talking about all the stuff they liked. fleur started to tell harry of the magical world with the excitement only a child could have " okay so we have a school of magic in France called Beauxbatons Academy of Magic it is the best in Europe, the British say their school Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is better but how can it be better with it sounds like if you touch you will get warts in the shape of pigs? the chocolate frog are really good but you have to be paying attention and not get distracted by the people on the cards or the frog will escape."

Harry paid attention to everything Fleur said and he looked confused and asked "how does a chocolate frog escape if it is chocolate it can't move?"

Apolline chimed in "Fleur slow down you are overwhelming poor Harry please let us get to the hotel first when we get to the room we can explain everything and maybe call his uncle and aunt and see about him staying longer so he can see Diagon Alley with us."

After they got to the room they called the Dursley and Petunia picked up "hello this is Petunia how can I help you?"

Apolline said "Hello Petunia, this is Apolline Delacour. I was wondering if we could keep Harry for 2 weeks. Our daughter said we have to keep him for the ballet. We will be happy to bring him back at the end of the trip before we leave."

Petunia felt like she had just won the lottery not just one week without the freak but 2 weeks she quickly said "sure keep him for as long as you want."

Fleur was sitting with Harry in the bed they would apparently be sharing as she said even if there was a second bed right there next to this one her parents started to laugh when Harry just gave in as he could barely get a word in.

He combed his hair with his hand when he was nervous and boy was he nervous. No one had ever been this nice to him and he did not know how to handle it. Then he noticed the fleur got quiet and her parents stopped laughing and he remembered his scar. It was freaky and he hid it again; but it was too late . They were all quiet.

Fleur screamed when her brain caught up after she saw the scar "YOU ARE THE HARRY POTTER? THE BOY-WHO-LIVED?"

Apolline and Marius both gasped they were confused by this turn of events they had come on this trip to both check in their daughter friend and take him out to do something nice since by his letter his life was fairly hard and to possibly report his uncle and aunt if they were abusive.

Harry too was confused and explained he was just Harry potter he was no one famous.

Apolline explained to him about how he got the scar and about his parents, the basics at least which made him happy.

He explains it's because his aunt and uncle said his parents were drunk and died in a car accident and that is how he got his scar but her telling made him happy that at one point in his life he had someone that cared about him so much.

that broke Apolline heart she already care about this boy she would protect him she decide; but they were not expecting him to be the boy who lived this would make their trip to Diagon alley difficult they would need to hide the scar maybe a simple disillusionment charm would work since no one was expecting to see him there.

so their week started with them getting breakfast which Harry thank them for and said it was the nicest breakfast he ever had then they went the museum and Marius told Harry about they game he and Fleur played called spot the magical item "okay so here is the rules you look at an item if it speaks to you if it pulls at you it is probably magic if you think it is magic just tell me and I will quietly and sneaky check with a spell and if you are right you get a point."

Fleur realized something if they were not eating she would not let go of harry hand she did not know when she grabbed it but she decided this is how it should be; she didn't noticed what that her parent had noticed that she had been holding Harry's hand the whole time and they looked and each other knowing what they would do at the end of the trip but also knowing that this would be a big change for them and they would have to be careful later.

Harry was looking on the other side of the room with a mask that spoke to him. He approached Marius " I think I found a magic item," he said quietly."

Marius raised his eyebrows. They had been at the museum for nearly 4 hours and none of them had found anything yet. so Harry might win this if he was right " alright show me the item and I will check."

Harry noticed for the first time that Fleur had been holding his hand when it start. he pointed "Fleur we need to go over there I found one."

Fleur followed Harry really hoping he did she didn't find anything yet but she also kind of wanted him to win. He was shy and scared when they first met so she wanted him to get a win, maybe it would help him be more outgoing.

Marius did the spell simple spell he created all it did was tell him if an item had magic of any kind this worked so well that he had started to use in his work and the French ministry's department of muggle affairs part of his job was finding magic were magic should not be and having auror take it away or replace it if necessary; he be damned if Harry was not right it the mask was magical and powerful if the magic hiding the mask magical potential was anything to go by Harry must be very sensitive to magic. "One point for Harry he is right."

Fleur look at he dad "really I don't feel any thing and I am very sensitive to magic."

Marius smiled "well I guess Harry is even more sensitive to magic then even you."

So the day went they had lunch and then walked around London doing some shopping Fleur and her mom played dress up using Harry and by the end of it he had some clothes that fit him properly and even after he told them they didn't have to he didn't want them to waste their money on him.

when the week of Non-Magiques London came to an end and so they would go to Diagon alley the next day.

Apolline looked at her husband with a look that he understood as worry but mixed happiness "we are going to have to have the Veela allure talk with Fleur earlier then we thought if this is how she acts around him. have you noticed what I noticed that she has only let go of his hand when one of them is going to the restroom or when they need both hands. mean look at this she has not let him sleep on his own bed this whole week they even sleep holding hands it is adorable but this could be trouble if we don't keep on top of it."

Marius looked at him with a smile "do you think she has figured she likes him yet or do you think it will take her a while? and I know, but Veela allure normally is not something you really have to worry about until they get to the age where they are interested in boys but she seems to like him. but also have you noticed how even the allure that normally makes people think young Veelas are adorably cute has no effect on him, normally that only happens with occlumency shields being up but he can't have any training so he might be a natural occlumens. Also another thing I notice is when she is around him her Veela allure is much better controlled."

Apolline smiled "I noticed that too I know some books in the Veela enclave talk about how if a Veela can find someone they truly love from an age before they start to notice boys in a romantic way they will subconsciously start strength their control but it is extremely rare for a Veela to find someone while they are that young."

the next day they went to Diagon alley for the first time Harry was amazed by everything from the moving brick to the new hotel were staying at after dropping their stuff off they went to get ice-cream at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour Harry could not decide on a flavor so Mr. Fortescue gave him the every flavor cone and cone the changed flavours as it was eaten.

Harry was amazed by this. He could not believe how good every flavour was and he still had more to try. Harry looks at Marius and Apolline and smiles very happily "thank you for letting me join you on vacation this is the best time I have ever had. It is so nice to have people care about me." he started to cry, overwhelmed by the happiness he was feeling.

Apolline hugged Harry "we love you, all of us do, you are such a sweet and kind boy."

After everyone hugged Harry he felt better Fleur was still hugging him having gone last and not wanting to let go just yet.

Marius looked at Harry and realized they were having magical foods without making sure Harry was properly inoculated for magical sickness "Harry we have to go to the magical hospital to make sure you have your inoculations okay?"

Harry just bobbed his head and so they went to St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.

while there the healer ask for his name they check his inoculations finding out he had already had as a baby and the were surprise it was harry potter; but seeing the fact is had as being held a young girl hand they figured that he was with trusted adult, specially when said adults as the healer to do full health check what they found sadden them they boy who lived was malnourished when the healer told the Delacours this they decide to follow through with the plan they had made.

The rest of the week was fun as they went to different magical stores and Harry got a set of robes and some books about magic. Some Marius and Apolline told him he had to study and some for fun.

On the last day of the week Harry became extremely sad as this joy was coming to an end and he would be going to the Dursleys.

Apolline approached Harry as he was standing there waiting for Fleur to come out of the bathroom so they could go play an exploding snap "Harry could I talk to you alone for a second?"

harry look at Apolline fear she would say they never want to see him again "yes ma'am"

Apolline took Harry to the balcony, bent down to be at his eye level. "Harry, I have a question: if we could convince your uncle and aunt to let me and Marius be your guardian, would you like to come live with us in France?"

Harry was stunned for a second. They wanted him. They would take him from the Durley if they could. He said yes after what felt like forever to him "please I would love that I promise I will do everything you ask I will never do anything wrong."

Apolline smiled at Harry "Harry you just have to be you, you don't need to do anything special just try your best and keep being the kind person you are okay?"

Harry just nodded his head, too happy to even speak.

Fleur held Harry's hand as they approached 4 Privet Drive he was shaking. She hoped mom and dad were right and they could convince the Dursley to let Harry go with them.

The door bell rang and Petunia opened the door knowing this would be the end of their 2 weeks free of the freak. she just wished they would keep him then her and her family could be free of the freak. "Hello Delacour's, Harry, welcome back."

Apolline look at Petunia "may we come in we were wondering if we could have a quick chat with you and your husband?"

Petunia looked put off but decided it was best to talk inside "please come in"

as they sat around the table the Durleys noticed that Harry looked healthier and happier " what can we do for you?

Marius stared "we talked with Harry and from what he said and what we noticed it seemed like you do not care for the boy or want him. We would like it if you signed guardianship of him to us and we will take him with us back to France."

Vernon looks red with anger "look I know it might not seem like we care for him from the outside but there 2 things you have to understand one is we do our best we are not rich and I work hard to make sure he has food and a roof over his head, second we were not ready for a second kid when he came so were resented him for that a bit we may never have let that go but you need to understand I will still make sure he is safe that is the promise I made and I keep my promises the only reason I am even entertaining this is because he looks both healthier and happier then he left so here is what we will do I will ask the boy some questions , boy do you want to go with them? do they know about your freakiness?"

Harry looked at his uncle "I am not a freak, I am a wizard and yes I want to go with them."

Vernon looked at them "so you are magic folk well you can have him we will sign the paper but don't come back after."

Petunia looked at Harry and in a moment that would stick with him "Harry be careful the wizard world is dangerous it took your mom from me to be safe. Please try and not hate us. I tried but I just could not be kind to you, you remind me too much of your father."

Harry looked at her and knew one thing he had to say to her "auntie I forgive you. be safe to remember the magical world has things this world doesn't if you ever feel like writing to me you go to Diagon alley and send me an owl okay."

With that and the fact that the Delacour's solicitor got everything settled quickly they left for France via portkey.

Harry said that for him because at the end he knew she was telling the truth.

Harry looked shocked upon the Delacour's house and could only think they lived in a castle. He looked at Fleur "are you a princess fleur?"

Fleur looked at Harry confused "no I am not 'arry why?"

Harry stared at Fleur like she was playing a prank on him "you live in a castle you must be a princess."

Marius and Apolline look at the two children and smile, Marius holding back a mischievous smile "Harry you are right Fleur is a princess and you slept in her bed now you two must be married just like in the old stories."

Fleur looked back at her father shocked and as she was about to say something but she heard Harry say "yes I will marry Fleur she will be my wife with an extremely red face." and she felt happy he was like the knights in the stories she read ready to do anything for the princess. with red checks Fleur looked at her dad and yelled "'ARRY IS MY HUSBAND NOW." and ran into the house pulling Harry with her to her room so she could show him where they would be sleeping.

Apolline looked at her husband who looked shocked and laughed "look at what you have done you married our only daughter off. You didn't think that was going to be the response you were going to get, huh love?"

Marius stood up, looked at his wife and laughed " no it was not I figured Harry would panic and Fleur would interrupt not that he and Fleur were going to instantly agree to be married, now I feel like the joke is on me."

Apolline sighed "we will deal with that tomorrow for today let's show Harry his room."

They walked up to the door and opened it. "Harry, your room will be the one right in front of Fleur's. You can put your stuff down, the house elves will put it all away in your room."

Harry looked up, "What is a house elf?"

Marius called the house elves and introduced them to Harry " Harry this is Banry and Seely. Banry, Seely this is Harry will be living with here now please help him with what he needs."

Banry and Seely greeted Harry and then they disappeared and so did his stuff.

Fleur and Harry sat on the bed and Fleur started to tell him about all the stuff they would do tomorrow and how he was going to have to learn French and that she would teach him and so she started right there and then right up until they started to fall asleep.

Marius smiled "Harry lets get you to your own bed okay? Fleur you have to let Harry go to his room so you can hang out tomorrow okay?"

Fleur nodded her head a little sad her parents would not let them sleep in the same bed now that they were back at home.

Harry laid on his bed and went to sleep, he woke up in the middle of the night and started to cry as he had the nightmare again the one with the women screaming don't hurt my harry. the bright green light.

Fleur was awoken by crying. She got up and walked over to Harry's room. " 'Arry, why are you crying? Are you okay, did you have a bad dream?"

he looked at Fleur "I had a bad dream there was screaming and a bright green light I am scared."

Fleur climbed into his bed and held his hand and talked to him until the both fell back to sleep.

The next morning when Apolline went to wake up Fleur she noticed the young girl was missing from her bed so she went to wake up the new addition to their home only to find what she expected when she saw the missing Fleur, there she and Harry were in his bed hugging each other. She decided to take a picture because this was adorable. "Alright, both of you have time to get up, go shower and change, then go have fun."

After Fleur left Harry looked at Apolline worried she would be angry at him and said "I am sorry I had a bad dream and Fleur came to cheer me up, sorry we didn't sleep in our own beds."

Apolline smiled at Harry "don't worry we just want you to get a change to have your own room and your own bed Harry after you told us you slept in a cupboard we just want you to feel like you could have your own things, I notice how Fleur just drags you around harry you can say no to her okay."

He is still looking at her with a big smile. "It is okay Fleur is my best friend. I like spending time with her . It is nice."

After their shower Fleur and Harry headed down to the dining room to have breakfast. "Harry, I am going to take you to meet grandpa Nick and grandma Penny. They are super nice and you will really like them." and so they went out to the house next to a house even bigger than the Delacour's chateau.

as Fleur spotted the old couple "GRANDPA NICK, GRANDMA PENNY I BROUGHT YOU A NEW GRANDSON!!"

the older couple turn to the little girl that had adopted them as grandparents they didn't mind it as they quite like her parents as they never ask for anything more than what neighbors might ask of one another they had also brought a cheese basket when the first moved next door to make a good impression, the worst they ever ask for was if the couple could watch their daughter when their sitter could not show up. They saw the boy with her and decided to mess with her. "Fleur, what is this about you bringing us a new grandson? Did you go off and get a husband while in England? you know what I told you about husbands and wives, they sleep in the same bed and hug, are you sure you got us a new grandson?"

Fleur stopped in front of the older couple and brought the boy in front of them "this is my husband Harry and I am his wife, we sleep in the same bed and hug so don't worry I did everything you told me."

the old couple look and the young boy and instantly paused the foul magic they could sense coming from the boy they took Fleur behind them, they took out their wand and started to scan the boy they need to figure out what dark magic the boy had on him as they did not want it to hurt their adopted granddaughter.

Fleur looked at them worried "STOP DON'T HURT HARRY WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

Harry was not sure why they were pointing their wands at him but he could tell they were not trying to hurt him. "What is wrong?"

Nick looked at Fleur "Fleur please go get your parents we need to talk to them it is really important so please be quick."

Fleur ran over to her parents and told them what Nick and Penny had told her.

Marius and Apolline ran over as when Nicolas and Perenelle Flamel told you to you need to come quick you moved as fast as you could especially as their daughter had told them the Nicolas and Perenelle had their wands pointed at Harry "what is going on here Nicolas and Perenelle please explain now." Marius said with steel in his voice.

another reason Nicolas and Perenelle like the Delacours they would protect their child even this new one they had just gotten Nicolas look Marius in the eyes "hello Marius, Apolline not worry we don't mean to harm the boy but we can feel some extremely foul dark magic radiating from the boy so we did all the scanning spell we could and we found something we think you should know about. the boy is some how the unfortunate vessel to a horcrux, it is a terrible magic that corrupts those around them the fact the boy seem so kind and nice is very impressive specially since the scan show he has had this in his scar since he was 1 year old. we would like you permission to remove it from him and destroy it."

Apolline looked at the older couple with worry "will this hurt the boy will he be okay?"

Perenelle as the more expert healer between her and husband smiled and Apolline "not to worry Apolline the boy will be better then fine after this he will probably be better then he is now as this is probably causing problems for his magical core development. he will probably end up needing a nap after but he will be fine. We can do this while he lays on the bed so he can sleep right after."

Harry looked between both the old couple and the delacours confused "can someone please tell what is happening? I don't speak French."

Marius explained to Harry what was happening and told him that Nick and Penny just noticed he was sick and that they wanted to heal him "is that okay Harry?"

Harry nodded and so they went into the Delacour chateau and he laid in his bed as Nick and Penny did some magic and after they finished a sickly green light went into a stone and he got really tired.

Fleur looked at her parents "can I stay here with Harry so he doesn't have another nightmare?"

Apolline looked at her daughter so proudly "of course honey but he will be asleep for at least 6 hours if what nick and penny said is true do you want me to cast a sleeping charm on you so you will be rested like him so you can play later?"

Fleur nodded her head after she climbed on the bed and hugged Harry. and fell asleep.

Apolline walked outside to talk with nick penny and her husband "so what is that disgusting thing in the stone you have there?"

Nick looked at them "it is a horcrux it is a piece of a soul it is magic used to avoid death originally created by Herpo the Foul but even he wrote that is a magic that should never be used he spent nearly 100 years working on fixing his soul after first using it. His journals are where we got the spell to remove it from Harry and put it in the rock. now we need to know when would a five year old child have such a thing in a scar please explain."

Marius and Apolline told the Flamels about how and when they went to England when the tough there daughter pen pal was in an abusive home and they discovered he was not only a wizard but the famous boy-who-lived, and that after talking to his uncle and aunt they easily got guardian ship of him. and at this point they were all caught up.

After listening to them Nick destroyed the horcrux using Fiendfrye he then looked at them with a Cheshire grin and said "so why were we not invited to Fleur's wedding she said Harry is her husband."

Marius facepalming "that is my fault Harry asked Fleur if she was a princess last night after he saw the chateau and I joking said yes and since they had slept in the same he had to marry her like in the old stories, and he instantly agreed and so did she."

Nick looked chagrined. "I might be partially at fault. About a year back Fleur asked me what made me and Penny married and I said it was because we slept in the same bed and hugged."

Both men looked at each other while their wives laughed at them as they may have accidentally complicated a simple budding friendship between two children by trying to both mess with children and avoid a topic they felt like they were not the proper person to ask.

all the while the adults didn't notice what was happening between the developing cores of two of the most magically sensitive children in the last 300 years as a side effect of fact of the removal of the horcrux of a child whose core had barely started to develop and while attached to a secondary core fragment.

Harry and Fleur woke up 6 hours later they were starving more then they really should be so they went to the dinning room for lunch where they found grandpa nick grandma penny and Apolline and Marius waiting from them at the table Fleur waved "hello what are we eating we are starving she said."

Penny walked up to Harry "Harry can I scan you to make sure you are okay?"

he looked and the kind older woman said "sure grandma penny."

Penny smiled at him while casting the scanning charm she had created "oh so I am grandma Penny now huh?"

he nodded at her "yes you are Fleur grandma penny and she is my wife so you are my grandma too."

she looked at him while the scan kept going "so if I am you grandma because Fleur is your wife that would make Nick your grandpa, and Fleur parents your mom and dad right?"

Fleur looks at Harry with a big grin "Look husband, you have a big family now."

He froze mid nod for a second and started to cry while looking at the Delacours

quick Apolline "Harry you don't have to think of us as mom and dad we are not trying to replace your parents please don't cry."

he quickly while crying shook his head "I am crying because this finally means I have a mom and dad. but also a grandma and grandpa that care about me."

that melted the hearth of every adult around the table.

Penny was about to say something when her scan finished and she got a puzzled look when it came back with some very interesting results " Nick, Marius, Apolline you have to see this." sending a copy of the result to all the adults.

after scanning Fleur Penny "well it seem that Fleur also has a secondary shared core other than a self core, from what I can figure is that they are going to be some of the most powerful wizard ever as they will have a second core the can draw power from any joint spell the cast will be devastating. I don't believe this is a bad thing but we should keep an eye on them just to make sure as I have never heard or seen this before."

Nick then spoke up "I would like to keep training Fleur and I would also like to train Harry in all forms of magic and control like we are doing with Fleur."

Apolline look at the nick "we would appreciate it greatly Nick. If you could please be sure that Fleur and Harry are both good at Occlumency. as that will have both of them with keeping their secrets and with vela allure."

and so Harry's new life started and over the next 8 months he learned French, German, and all things magic from the Flamels who he even learned that they were over 600 years old and the greatest known wizard and witch alive, with Fleur as they grew closer.

mom and dad as he started calling Apolline and Marius took him and Fleur to Gringotts to read his parents will a couple of months before his 6 birthday in which they discovered on Remus Lupin was technically the person Harry was suppose to go too not his aunt after send him an owl asking them to meet them at Delacour manor they waited.

Harry was nervous this Remus lupin could try and take him from his home with his mom, dad and wife he look at Fleur still holding her hand pretty much all the time and know they had even more reason since it strengthen the shared core he and Fleur shared "wife do you think he will be nice? do you think he will try to take me away, I will not leave you."

Fleur looked at Harry ever since that first day they had called each other husband and wife even now that they understood better that dad and grandpa were messing with them but they enjoyed calling each other that and it confused people it was fun "husband it will be okay your parents were willing to leave you to him, and they left him a trust he never touch he must be a good person, he will probably see how happy you are and accept it."

Mom, dad, grandpa Nick and grandma Penny all stood to the side listening to the children supporting each other. They had all accepted that one day the husband and wife joke those two used would no longer be a joke and they get to use all these memories doing the wedding ceremony to embarrass them.

Harry and Fleur ran outside it was past noon so they ran to the village fleur wanted to show him around she was going to show him all the fun spots the first place they went to was the bakery Fleur was going to share with Harry her favorite pastry, whe. they got to the center of town they could see the public floo station being built her mom told her about how until 2 decades ago french muggle did not know about magic but they started the slowly reintroduction of magic to french muggles it had been slow but after a decade it was an open secret in France and the muggles help to keep magic hidden from foreigners as the IWC required it. Her mom said she was excited for them to get a floo station in Gordes as they were getting on of the first ones after they worked out the design of it to help hide the fireplaces they had made into a library with the floo stations in the back. When they got to the bakery Fleur walked up to the counter “2 éclairs please.”

She handed one to Harry while she gave him a tour of the city. She pointed to stuff and named it. At one point they arrived at one of her favorite spot by the fountain. Most of the kids met up so they could play.

A boy of Fleur's age walked up to Fleur and started to talk to her in French which Harry did not understand “hi Fleur who is this, did you want to join us? We are going to get everyone so we can play hide and seek?

Fleur introduced `arry to the boy and the boy to Harry the boy was also in the pen pal program Harry this is Etienne, Etienne this is Harry my husband, he was my pen pal, my family went over to England for the last 2 weeks and we met up things happen and now he lives with us he will probably go to our school.”

Etienne just went with it because he didn't know witch and wizard customs and Fleur was his friend so what if she went and got married. “So Harry , do you want to join us for hide and seek ?”

Harry was excited he never really got to play with other children before so he quickly said yes

Etienne smiled at Harry “Normally you would be the seeker if you join in the middle but since you are new to the area you can hide that way Fleur can help you, and Fleur no cheating turning invisible is unfair not everyone has magic.”

Fleur protested “that was an accident and I apologized. Are you ever going to let it go?”

They all walked over to the rest of the children they were all introduced other then Etienne their were 5 more children 3 girl and 2 boys Harry had a hard time keep all there name in his head but he would eventually remember everyone's name, Etienne counted first while everyone found a place to hide, Harry and Fleur hid in and alley that Harry had spotted when they were walking the alley hand two large trash cans on each side of the alley and a couple of cars parked there the trash smelled but by when you got to the cars you couldn't smell it anymore.

Fleur was confused so turned to Harry “I don't think this is a good spot, maybe we should hide up in a tree.”

Harry looked at her “this is a great spot Fleur it has the smelly trash cans on both opening which means Etienne will be less likely to go down this alley turns me i learned hiding in dumpster was very safe not only like to go to a place that smell so no one checks it.”

Fleur didn't think the Dursley would let him play hide and seek with other kids. “Did you play a lot of hide and seek back in England?”

Harry looked a bit crest fallen at the question but he answered. “My cousin and his friend would chase me around so I got good at hiding and I found hiding anywhere they had to pass something that stinks to get to me meant i would not be found.”

Fleur could barely contain her tears. Why did Harry have to have such a difficult life? He was such a nice child and yet people had failed him. They stayed hidden where they were until Etienne started calling out that he gave up and for Fleur and Harry to come out when they came back to the fountain Etienne started “did you cheat again Fleur ?”

Fleur stomped her foot , “I did not cheat Harry is just really good at hiding you walked by where we were like 4 times.”

They had fun for a couple more hours before Harry and Fleur went home as they walked. Harry began excitedly talking to Fleur “that was the most fun I have ever had. I never got to play with the other kids. Can we do it again soon?”

Remus was going not expecting to discover where Harry had been taken via owl post. he had been extremely worried when Dumbledore to told him the about the fact that Harry's guardian ship had been given to some other witch and wizard by his uncle and aunt, which automatically transferred Harry magical guardianship to them.

Dumbledore had not expected was the Remus would be more furious at the fact Dumbledore had left Harry with his aunt and uncle, when Dumbledore talk about blood wards he was even more furious as he knew Sirius had blood adopted Harry which mean Harry would have been with Sirius if Dumbledore had helped Sirius get a trial.

Remus had decided to send a letter to the Delacour to request a visitation to Harry as he was a friend of Harry’s parents and he had just come back to England only to find out he had been left with his aunt and now had been taken.

He received a letter back for the Delacour’s saying they had talked to Harry and he had agreed to meet with Remus. They had scheduled the meeting a few weeks from then.

When Remus arrived at the Delacour chateau he was not expecting what he saw. There, standing in front of who must be the Delacours and an older couple, he saw Harry and a girl no older than 9 holding hands and he smiled at how happy Harry looked. Before he approached he let the Delacours know he was a werewolf in case their home had wards that would attack for technically being a dark creature.

when told he could approach he came close to Harry grinning "hey Harry any chance you remember uncle Moony?"

Harry tried to remember but in the end he shook his head "no sorry." While holding Fleur close for support he looked at Remus "are you going to try and take me away from mom, dad, grandpa Nicolas, grandma Perenelle, and my wife."

Remus was about to respond when his brain processed what Harry had just said. First he called the Delacour mom and dad then he said grandpa Nicolas and grandma Perenelle and wife and his entire brain short circuited. " Harry, did you say wife?"

Harry, still looking at Remus, looked then at Fleur and everyone else and laughed "I win, I told you he was going to skip everything else and short circuited at wife. you all own me and candy." looking back at Remus he make proper introduction " hello mister Remus Lupin, I am Harry James Potter, this is my wife Fleur Isabelle Delacour, this is my mother
Apolline Delacour,my father Marius Delacour, my grandfather Nicolas Flamel and my grandmother Perenelle Flamel."

Remus stood there for another minute in stunned silence before he was able to talk once again "hello I am Remus lupin adopted brother of you biological father James potter is a pleasure to meet all of you, and Harry to answer your earlier question before you stunned me with the information that you have a wife, no I will not try and take you away." looking at Fleur " hello miss Delacour please know that you don't have to worry I have no plans to try and take your husband from you." Now looking at the adults "it is a pleasure to meet all of you and a great honor to meet all of you; but will someone please explain the wife to me? I am still very confused."

Nicolas, as the main culprit of the wife and husband combo, explained as he walks to the garden to have tea and talk "okay so I will explain as I am the one being given the larger share of the blame for this. Fleur asked me what made a husband and wife and I said the had to sleep in the same bed and hug, and then Harry asked Fleur if she was a princess when he saw the chateau Marius made the joke that yes and since they had slept in the same bed he had to marry her and Harry instantly accept and so did Fleur, it has been over eight months and they have decide keep to calling each other that, in order to both prank people and because they got used to it and that is how we got to this point."

Remus was proud of Harry and he knew that James and Sirius would be too pranking people the first time you meet them was such a marauder thing to do. "can I ask how Harry became the grandson of the legendary Flamels?"

Fleur answered it before any of the adults could with a big grin on her face "simple they are my grandparents and Harry is my husband making the son of mom and dad and the grandson of grandpapa and grandma."

At this point Remus decided he was not going to try and understand what was going on, he was going to move on and make sure Harry was okay before he left. "I hope you all don't mind but I would like to ask Harry some questions alone to make sure he is okay and safe, it is not that I distrust you but I would not be doing right by James and Lily if I didn't make sure."

The adults at the table look at Remus with more respect than before. Apolline stared at him "of course but we are curious where you were when he was with his uncle and aunt?"

Remus looked at her not taking offence as he had dropped the ball on that one. "I was told by Dumbledore that Harry was with a nice squib family hiding from the death eater that managed to escape going to Azkaban that were trying to kill him. Also as a werewolf I could not take him in as I can not afford wolfbane and without it I would be a danger to him."
Nicolas' face began to close with anger as he thought of what his apprentice had done. Dumbledore was always his worst apprentice. Dumbledore has always thought he was some master of strategies.

Apolline felt a little better he was trying to make sure the boy stayed alive and safe. "I am sorry but what do you mean can't afford wolfbane the potter left you a fairly large trust vault?
that took Remus by surprise as he had no clue about this vault as no one ever told him. "I had no clue."

Apolline decided it would be fair for Remus to talk to Harry alone or as alone as he could get Harry "Remus you are free to ask Harry as many questions alone as you want as long as you are in visual distance, and if you can get him and fleur to spit up."

Harry looked at Remus "I will only talk to you if Fleur can come with us."

Remus knew he was not going to win that battle so he agreed " okay but let's walk over there." After stepping a bit away Remus cast a charm to make so the adults outside could not hear them. "harry do you like living with the Delacours and you safe?

Harry looked aghast at Remus " of course I am safe and happy here, they are my family they are the only ones that ever care enough about me to check in on me and make sure I was okay when I was at the Dursley." The finality in Harry's eye made Remus flitch; he knew that was the only question he was going to get to ask as he seemed to have insulted

Harry and people he cared about. "I am sorry Harry and Fleur for the insult I just had to make sure in honor of James and Lily."

They walked back to the table and finished their tea. Harry looked at Remus and asked about his biological parents.

Remus smiled kindly as he looked at Harry "well your mother was the brightest witch of her generation she was brilliant and your Father one of the kindest man I ever knew." and so the stories went on for quite some time. Remus was asked to stay for dinner. which he accepted. Harry and Fleur gave him a tour of the house and Harry's room "Harry why does your room not look like you have ever slept in it?"

Harry looked at Remus like he was an idiot. "because I sleep with my wife in her room."

Remus just gave up. He should have expected that answer but he had to ask as it was very odd.

They made their way to the dining room and after dinner Remus bade the family goodbye with the promise of another visit to see Harry and tell him more about his biological parents he promised to bring any pictures he could find. He also told Marius and Apolline that it was James and Lily's wish that Harry went to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry so much so they had already paid for it before he was even born.

That summer was very busy as the Delacours had a second daughter Gabrielle. Harry and Fleur would play with the baby every chance they got. Remus had come visit more and brought the promised photos of Harry mom and dad, during one of these visits Harry had called them James and Lily instead of mom and dad, saying that they were not his mom and dad that Apolline and Marius was his mom and dad, Apolline had for the first since he moved in with them scolded him and told him that it was a terrible thing to say about his biological parents "Harry I know you don't remember them but they are you mom and dad sweet heart they loved you more then you can understand right now they sacrificed their life to protect you, it was why they could not be here with you because they gave everything to make sure you survived Voldemort. never stop thinking of them as mom and dad okay?

Harry looked very chastised at Apolline. "I am sorry it is just you and dad are the only parents I really knew and it felt rude to call them mom and dad."

Apolline explains to Harry you can have more than one mom and dad.

Fleur looked at the pictures of Harry's parents. "Harry, you look just like your dad except no glasses since mom and dad took you to get your eyesight fixed. Your eyes are from your mom."

Harry for his part looks at the photos and asks questions of Remus about his parents.

Remus had decided he was not going to lie to Harry as he had seen of the how the Delacour were always honest with the children and how the children seem to take good lessons from this so he told harry about how he and his dad became friends and how they were prankster, how he was sorry about how his dad treated his mom's friend Severus because his dad was jealous of him and how his mom and Severus had been friend long before Hogwarts.

Harry listened and took lessons from that and promised to be better and even learn more from Remus about Hogwarts and magical Britain.

During one of these visits Perenelle approached Remus and told him the Wolfsbane potion he was taking was making him look much better then the first time he came to visit them. She had started to think of Remus as a friend of the family and so she told him about something she had started to work one after seen him that first time "The first time I saw you look terrible Remus and it made me think about all the other werewolves that could not afford wolfsbane potion and I have been developing my own I was wondering if you be willing to test the potion? I am aiming to make a potion that will make it so you can choose not to change during the full moon if you didn't want to.
Remus looked at her with wide eyes. "I would be happy to test you potion if you manage to develop such a potion it would go incredibly far to make the life of werewolves every better as it would change the way we interact with daily society as a we would not have to worry about the full moon." and so started Remus new long Journey into potion testing.
over the next 3 years Harry life was much like any normal kids only with more learning, and with more love in his life then he could imagine back when he lived with the Dursleys, He and Fleur grew closer over the next 3 years as they played with Gabrielle and had classes with the Flamels they went on vacation with mom and dad they had gone to visit the grave a harry parents every Halloween and they went to different countries harry loved traveling he and Fleur would try new foods everywhere they went.

Harry had gotten amazing at his control of magic and at wandlessly casting spells he and Fleur had become some of the greatest pranksters would have met as they took joy messing with never anything malice, just harmless jokes.

Remus was happy when penny had finally finished her potion not longer changing into his wolf form unless he wanted to had been a blessing he was able to get a job and feel like a normal person again he knew when the potion was finally approved for the general population it would be revolutionary but he knew that it would be at least another five years before it was commercially available but penny as he had finally had finally agree to start calling her had said she would keep making it for him and that he would still have to keep writing the diary about how he felt when he took it and when he decide to shift which she require he do at least 3 time a year so more and better data could be collected.

another thing he was happy about was when he heard Fleur would be going to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and Harry would be going to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as he did not think poor professor McGonagall could handle both of them as the better prankster then the marauders ever were and the poor women would not be able to handle how inseparable the two were.

it was now September 1 the day before school start and fleur had to leave for Beauxbatons and her birthday today her entire family was together to celebrate her birthday and the day she officially got her wand she was so excited grandpa Nick said he would make it for her and when she got it she could feel it, it was prefect for her 9 1/2 inches Rosewood and with a hair from hair grandmother Eloise, it was perfect but there was something else she could fell it but grandpa Nick said he would tell her when she turned 17.
After the party Harry, Fleur, Nicolas, and Perenelle apparated to Bauxbatons Academy of Magic.
