Diary entry
Today was a very interesting day. Screw that, diary, why am I beating around the rose bush? Today SUCKED. This place SUCKS. And I’m certain that whatever happens next WILL SUCK. I lost my flamethrower, which means no firepower if that… goop decides to suddenly become dangerous, but at least I managed to repurpose it into a lighter, so I can best write in the pitch dark. How my petals wish to get out of here into the sun, but of course, it’s missing now. That actually reminds me of the time where the sun randomly decided to turn the color blue
…
I’m getting sidetracked. I should probably talk about the whole day, maybe that could be useful later. Anyways, me and Needy were relaxing at the beach, watching Beach Ball, Sticker, Toothpaste, and Sidewalky try and gather materials to rebuild Dream Island Elsewhere, (I still think it should be called Nightmare Moon but whatever) when everything suddenly felt chilly. The sky had turned an inky black, but not the kind that expands past the limits of the atmosphere, one that feels more close and suffocating. And it also looked… drippy? Like it was trying to almost grab at the island itself.
I initially thought that it was the Announcer back again with one of his ridiculous challenges, but Needy was shocked. That was bad. Needy was the one best situated to the weird speaker box, so she would know if it was one of his schemes. Which clearly now, it wasn’t. So, I did what any (or in this place the only) sane object would do, and gathered everyone to head to the nearest city. More company, more surviving. A clearly wise and beneficial plan, right?
Everyone else decided to head to the main quarters.
Look, it’s not my fault that Ruler, even with his head full of concrete, has more influence than me. I don’t even know how that happened?!? At least he made the decision to bring all our recovery centers inside, even if they take up too much room. I’m not going to stand getting recovered out in the Black Goo (I’ll workshop a name later).
Anyways, the door is shut tight, and the power may be out, but at least I have a lighter! (After Sidewalky stepped and broke my flamethrower by lumbering his idiotic self through the dark). And the banner we forgot to discard for the odd pulsating rectangle’s fake surprise party makes a good backrest for my stem. But I guess I just… wait? For everyone to become bored enough to switch to my plan. I’ll give them a day, tops, before they break. I could maybe spend the time by getting sleep like Needy? Or is she just staring into space? I’m definitely not gonna be near David. Or Sticker. Or Sidewalky, or Money, or Ruler or Beach Ball or… Actually I'm just fine by myself.
Until next time, which is probably when I get bored again.
Ta ta!, diary
(P.S. I should probably stop calling you a diary now. This was one of the only supplies I managed to grab on our way here, and it’ll be more valuable if it doubles as a note-taker and a planner, than just a way to get my feelings out.)
