"You don't know how to tie a tie, Mr. Edgeworth?" Gumshoe asks, looking down at him with puppy-dog eyes.
There doesn't seem to be any judgement nor curiosity in his gaze, so Edgeworth answers with the truth. "...No."
"That's alright, sir! It took me a bit, myself." Gumshoe tightens the knot of his tie, which has started migrating into his vest. "I wore a dress to prom, y'see. Had to learn a little late!"
"Will this be your first black-tie event since prom?" Edgeworth goes to adjust the ends of his tie, before realizing he doesn't know what to look for. The horrifying idea of asking Gumshoe for help starts to creep into his mind. "Detective, every day I see you here with your tie below your collarbone. Are you sure you learned?"
"Of course, sir, it's easy!" Gumshoe beams, taking the ends of Edgeworth's tie in his hands. At least Edgeworth didn't have to sacrifice his dignity himself. "You just have to..."
Gumshoe's eyes dart around, like he's forgotten what he was doing. "You just have to...?" Edgeworth prompts, raising an eyebrow.
Gumshoe smiles sheepishly, returning the eye contact. "...Y'know, sir, I think they'll like the cravat just fine!"
