Chapter Text
(Start playing - The Light Realm: Prologue - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate)
(December 31st, 2000)
???: I thought I never expect there are worlds beyond the Mushroom Kingdom, but I might have guessed wrong.
An envelope with red stamp that has the iconic Smash Bros logo on it falls onto a dark area and an odd figure walk towards it. When the figure grabs the envelope, you see a white glove and a sleeve of a red shirt.
???: On the day that me and my brother got an invitation to an inter-worldly tournament known as Super Smash Bros. I'm surprised that this spans not just the Mushroom Kingdom and DK's own jungle home; but to other worlds that many things from a place that looks it came from a dream, another is a place that you might see in a fantasy book, or even the world of Pokémon due to me seeing some of the residents talk about the trading card game or some form of competitive event all the time when I enter the local cafe.
You can see images of the Mushroom Kingdom with vast hills and a beautiful castle with a stained glass window of a princess above the front doors, the Kongo Jungle with vast variety of jungle life and plants, the vast landscape of Dreamland of Planet Popstar, the fields of Hyrule with the castle in the background, and the streets of Saffron City of the Kanto Region with vast variety of Pokémon like a simple Butterfree to a big strong Machamp.
???: To my own surprise that those worlds have their fair share of heroes and villains like my world has me going up against the likes of Bowser multiple times, Wario back when he stole my vacation home of a castle, or even that Smithy guy back when he tried to take over the Mushroom Kingdom by just getting rid of the power of wishes and replacing it with weapons. Good thing I have restored the seven Star Pieces to fix the Star Road to end a full-on out invasion caused by Smithy and his gang.
The figure laughed in a cheerful way as the light spread the room, the figure was shown to be a cartoonish looking male plumber wearing a red cap that has a white circle with a capital M in it on his hat. He also wears a red shirt and blue overalls with golden buttons, as well as a pair of white gloves that could be good for plumbing or even breaking solid brick blocks and a pair of brown shoes. He also has brown hair, a black mustache, a big nose, and a pair of blue eyes. This figure's name is —-
(Music ends)
???: Mario! Dove sei ora?! (Where are you now!? in Italian.)
Of course, someone had to interrupt my narrative introduction to Mario in this story. Okay now was I on that introduction. Oh yes, Mario is well known in the Mushroom Kingdom for saving it from the likes of Bowser more than one occasion. There are other times like go-karting, tennis, golfing, and somehow very ridiculous mini-games like a bigger version of a board game or even a quiz of with common things like which color is Wario's hat to even which type of item opens a gate. However, for some part of today, he is sleeping on his bed in his room with some dreams about various Italian dishes and various types of memories. He had many different dreams in the past before, it all varies from battling Wart to even dreaming about spaghetti and ravioli. However, the dream is about reflecting some of the past.
When Mario's room door opened, a figure walked into the room itself. This one is also a cartoonish looking plumber; the only difference is that he is taller. He also has both a green cap with a white circle with a capital L, a green shirt, a pair of blue overalls with golden buttons, a pair of white gloves, and brown shoes. Just like Mario, he also has a pair of blue eyes, brown hair, a black mustache, and a big nose. When he enters the room, he has one thing in mind that is waking Mario up by just tapping on the shoulder.
Mario: (Tired voice) Not know Bowser, you can't kidnap Princess Peach today.
???: Mario, do I look like Bowser to you?
When Mario opened his eyes and saw the figure and wakes up with a shocked face.
Mario: Mama Mia! Give me a break Luigi, I was trying to take a nap.
Luigi: Mario my older twin. Lucky for you, I'm not pranking you like we were back at New Donk City.
(Starts playing - Super Pipe House - Super Mario RPG (Nintendo Switch Version))
Mario: Yes, I do remember those days Luigi, I remember that one time where I had to put itching powder in your laundry. Or even that one time I replaced your shampoo with green hair dye. I have to admit, those were pretty bad for you in some form.
It's true, Mario and Luigi did have a prank war between each other. Back at their old home in New Donk City, the two brothers pranked each other using different methods like the classic whoopie cushion on a chair to even a surprise pie to the face. After those series of pranks, two made a truce with each other to prevent it from going any farther. From time to time, sometimes Luigi had to mention these past events to remember what happened.
Luigi: I know about those pranks since I have experienced them! I have to admit, you are making a reference to Batman was clever.
Mario: You looked like you could prepare to rule the world at the time. I had to think about what reference since you looked like the Joker because of the green hair dye.
Luigi: I do get it because of hair dye. You know what, let's focus on today instead of the past. We gotta be prepared for the New Year's Eve celebration at Peach's Castle.
As Mario jumped up off his bed, he is smiling happily like his usual self when he goes around the Mushroom Kingdom, he be glad that today is New Year's Eve. Every year in the Mushroom Kingdom that a celebration is held at Princess Peach's Castle where everyone gets invited except for Bowser since he could potentially kidnap the princess as usual.
Mario: Okie dokie Luigi, I just simply want to be my best self for the party. Maybe there might be cake, various different kinds of snacks, drinks, music, and fireworks.
Luigi: Yeah, let's make this the best New Year's Eve celebration ever in the Mushroom Kingdom. But first, we must meet up with Peach and Daisy.
Mario: Oh yeah, we must make sure things are going steady. As well as to make sure Bowser doesn't crash this party and kidnap Peach again.
Luigi: So, what are you waiting for Mario?
Mario: (in a joking manner) New Year's Day, why you asked?
Luigi: I meant be sure to be at you get ready. Okay, let's a go, Mario.
Mario: Yes Luigi, I'll be ready for the party.
Luigi: Good, because we don't want to be late.
Mario: Yeah, do know Luigi.
Luigi: I'll be at the front door.
Luigi heads to the living room of the house. Mario thought to himself.
Mario: (thinking) Are these dreams saying something? Is any of it is real or not?
Luigi (offscreen): Mario! Are you coming or not!?
Mario: I'll be there in a moment!
(music changes to - Peach's Castle Theme- Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam)
As Mario and Luigi get ready for the New Year's Eve celebration, somewhere in some part of the Mushroom Kingdom is Peach's Castle where things for the celebration are being prepared. There be two princesses having a conversation, one of the two is a long-haired blonde with blue eyes wearing a pink dress with an oval blue brooch on the chest, white opera gloves, blue earrings, and a crown with red and blue gems in it. This princess is none other than —-
???: Hey Peach, I'm very impressed by this year's end celebration. This one's going to be different than that previous one where Bowser tried to kidnap you, at least Mario managed prevent that by simply using a spiny shell to blast that koopa butt back to his castle.
Are you kidding me on being interrupted by characters talking to the one that I was introducing in the chapter of this fan fiction?! Calm down me, you are not Hades or Pete for goodness' sake. Breathe in and breathe out right now. I'll just let Princess Peach talk so I can continue typing/narrating this chapter.
Princess Peach: Thank you Daisy, I hope this one doesn't have another Bowser interruption.
The other princess that Peach was talking to is Princess Daisy of Sarasaland. She is a young woman brown shoulder-length hair with blue eyes wearing a yellow floor-length dress that has orange and white accents, the dress also has a flower shaped brooch with a green gem on it. She also is also wearing flower shaped earrings with green gems in them, a golden crown with a red jewel on each side, a pair of short white gloves with flower shaped openings. She's been Peach's best friend since they were younger.
Princess Daisy: I agree with you Peach, the only times Bowser gets invited is golf, go-karting, tennis, and even Mario Party.
Peach: I know, it's just that Bowser tends to choose a very bad timing on kidnapping me. Thank goodness that there sometimes that Mario prevented the kidnapping or not. Either way, I get saved. I do think it's sweet of him on doing a good thing, he even introduced you to Luigi.
Daisy: I do get the feeling on that part. Even since the time that Mario saved me from that thing known as Tatanga, at least I was kidnapped once.
???: I do say that was good thing Miss Daisy.
The Mushroom Kingdom have a variety species of all shapes and sizes like Goombas, Koopas, different types of ghosts, the Kongs, and of course, the Toads. For this case, there are two Toads that are walking towards Peach and Daisy. One of the Toads has a white mushroom cap like bulb with red spots on it, a blue vest with a gold outline, some sort of diaper-like pants, and a pair of brown shoes. He be carrying a backpack with different pins on it filled with various power-ups that Mario have used in the past. This Toad's name is Toad, he is the first Toad that the Mario Bros have met during their first time in the Mushroom Kingdom in years, it's a bit of a long story but this is a whole other fleet of Gummi Ships.
The other Toad is an elderly one with a tan complexion and a beige mushroom cap like bulb with brown spots on it, a light purple vest with gold buttons on it that have Toad emblems on them. On top of the vest is a sleeveless jacket that hangs down like a tuxedo with a golden trim, he also wears white bottoms underneath and brown shoes like other Toads. He also wears black round glasses and a red bowtie. He is walking with a stick-like can that has brown and beige mushroom cap on it. This elderly Toad's name is Toadsworth, he has been Peach's steward since she was a baby.
Toadsworth: I'm glad that one-year ends and another one begins, it's kind of like a rebirth for a calendar with the same months, but the days on a different day of the week.
Daisy: (In a sarcastic tone) Wow, that was very surprising Toadsworth.
Toadsworth: I can read your lips and very much fluent in sarcasm since a New Year's event can happen again at the end of the next year.
Daisy: How did you I was being sarcastic?!
Toadsworth: Let's just say have old friends back in my days when I was younger had have a better back in some form.
Daisy: You mean like my dad or someone else entirely?
Toadsworth: Both answers are a good thing.
Daisy was about to say something, but she realizes it's a really good point. Toad on the other hand, has a question to ask.
Toad: What about Mario and Luigi? I don't know if they make it on time or maybe Bowser might have kidnapped them.
Peach: That be a ridiculous thing. If it actually happens, I might be the one saving them this time.
Toad: Just going upon a hypothetical event if that happens in some form.
Toadsworth: Master Toad, would you please help out the chefs on making food for party.
Toad: Yes, I will do that Toadsworth.
Toad grabs a frying pan out his backpack and walks to the kitchen of castle.
Peach: I'm a bit curious about your old friends, as in friends before my parents and Daisy's parents.
Toadsworth: If Mario finds that isn't your typical Power Star. I'll give you two some answers.
Daisy: I don't know if being odd or just being weirdly specific since Mario and Luigi are part of the Smash Bros. Tournaments that literally goes beyond the Mushroom Kingdom because of a pair of giant hands and that Masahiro Sakurai guy.
Toadsworth: The second option is a valid one Miss Daisy.
(music changes to - Star Festival - Super Mario Galaxy)
Mario and Luigi are walking down the road to Peach's Castle in the beautiful starry night, talking about the usual New Years resolutions and even what new adventures await the Mario Brothers themselves. For Mario, he has something else on his mind revolving around his own dream in a curious way.
Mario: (Thinking) I wonder if there are other worlds beyond the ones that are part of the Smash tournaments. Will some be similar to the ones that I have been to so far or not?
Luigi: Mario, are you alright? You're seem to have something on your mind.
Mario: Why did you say that, Luigi?
Luigi: One, I'm your brother Mario. Brothers always have each other's back. Two, is it about Pauline?
Mario: No, it's not about Pauline. But I do miss her at times.
Luigi: Geno?
Mario: No.
Luigi: The prank war that we did back at New Donk City?
Mario: Tempting on placing a whoopie cushion on your chair for April Fool's Day, but no. It's not that Luigi.
Luigi: Then what is it, Mario?
The Mario bros stopped walking on the path, Mario took in a deep breath and spoke about his thoughts.
Mario: Do you remember the time we got the invitations to the Smash Tournaments?
Luigi: That's it, the Smash Bros Tournaments? I do remember them since it is a fairly recent memory as far as an inter-worldly tournament can be.
Mario: Have you ever thought about the worlds beyond the Mushroom Kingdom?
Luigi: Yes, I do think about them. Hyrule, Dreamland, vast variety of Pokémon regions, Onett, the futuristic place that has the F-Zero grand prix, and some parts of space. All of them rings a bell to me.
Mario: But have you ever thought about worlds beyond the ones that we have been to in the Smash Tournaments?
Luigi: I just don't know Mario, maybe there could be some other worlds that could be different than the ones that we've been to before. What if there could fantasy like places, or maybe one that have superheroes, or probably on that has a bunch of walking talking Frogs? There are infinite possibilities of what other worlds could be out there.
Mario smiled at Luigi's answer.
Mario: I guess you could be right of a sort. Let's head to Peach's Castle before the New Year begins. Let's a go!
(Music ends)
Luigi: Okie Dokie, let's a go. (looks to the sky in a scared way) Huh, are those a couple shooting stars head towards us?
Mario: Shooting stars don't usually fall to the surface, they fly past by the sky. Why do you always act like a fraidy cat. (looks to where Luigi is looking at with a scared look) Now I know what you're looking at.
Mario/Luigi: Mama Mia!
As the two jump out of the way of the shooting stars, the Mario Bros. hides in a bush in case if it's something out of a sci-fi movie. However, the two heard a clink sound in instead of a crashing sound that usually happens with most things that falls from the sky. The Mario Bros. looked at fell from the sky is two star-shaped items that are both blue and green colored with a smaller green star in the center, but the outside has the star shape with a green lightning bolt like shape on it. With Mario and Luigi look at the things and are surprised in some form.
Luigi: Mario, what is that?
Mario: I don't know bro, maybe it some kind of star or something similar to one. We might ask Toadsworth about this.
Luigi: On New Years Eve, of all the times you choose to ask Toadsworth about some mysterious star like thing that we don't know. Why does crazy things like Bowser kidnapping Peach, me being the butt-monkey on some occasions, entering haunted houses filled with ghosts, Cheep-Cheeps trying to make me in to fish food on very rare occasions, and a literal angry sun trying to burn our butts off?!
Mario: It's the Mushroom Kingdom Luigi, anything can happen in some form. I mean, we have battled Bowser many times including the time in Dinosaur Land, I have helped you out in the haunted Boo houses, gone on par against Wario and Waluigi at tennis, we have gone go-karting with Bowser even if he's invited into the race via by a promise that he won't kidnap Peach, and we have been invited to the Smash tournaments to go up the best of the best of different worlds. If these star-shaped things could lead us to some other world or something like that.
Luigi: You got a good point Mario; we have been through a lot of stuff in the past. Maybe we might ask Toadsworth about what we have found, during the New Years party.
(Throwback Galaxy - Super Mario Galaxy 2)
Mario: That's the spirit Luigi. Here we go!
Mario runs off to Peach's Castle leaving Luigi in the dust.
Luigi: Wait for me Mario! Mama Mia!
Luigi runs to catchup with Mario on speed wise. This leads to a montage of the Mario Bros going to the Peach's Castle via by the path and some interruptions in the form of a few Goombas and Koopa Troopas that try to harm the duo. But the Mario Bros. bested them by Mario stomping a koopa out of their shell with Luigi grabs it and use it like a bowling ball to strike them out of the way. Mario and Luigi high fived each other.
The next scene leads to Luigi seeing a crystal ball at a local traveling fortune teller showing a tournament that isn't the Smash tournaments, but rather a battle in an ancient Grecian arena showing the Mario Bros using some hammers to battle down some bug like monsters with yellow eyes and ones that look like blue bells with yellow hats in some form.
Luigi: I can't tell if it's from the future or not, that looks terrifying.
Mario appeared behind Luigi out of nowhere.
Mario: What's terrifying?
Luigi: (startled) Mamma Mia! Don't sneak up behind me like that.
Mario: Sorry Weegee, I didn't mean to do it.
Luigi: I'll go sit down for a moment.
As Luigi walked off to a nearby seat, Mario looks at the crystal ball and see what Luigi saw before it changes to a scene with a forest in the day with Mario and Luigi going up on against some werewolf and bear like creatures that have a pitch-black color with bone-like masks with red markings on it with bone like spikes.
Mario: That is interesting, first some shadow like creatures in an arena, now this has some werewolves and bears that look like something from Hyrule or someplace similar. Future or not, this seems interesting of a sort.
Luigi: Are you talking about the crystal ball?
Mario: Yes Luigi, I am talking about it.
The next scene shows Mario and Luigi jumping from one mushroom platform to another with their alethic skills. However, Luigi has a greater advantage because of his scuttle jump aid to certain areas. At least Mario can keep up with Luigi in some form.
The next one is where the Mario Brothers sitting on a hill looking at the stars with Mario holding the star-shaped item to the sky. He is wondering on where it comes from. Could this a power up, something harmful, or probably could lead him somewhere? Mario just does not know yet until he is at Peach's Castle. While for Luigi, he is just waking up from a quick nap. Mario took notice of this and helped get Luigi up for a bit.
Mario: How's your nap?
Luigi: It's good for a quick nap after all.
Mario: So, continue on to Peach's Castle.
Luigi: Oh yeah!
The next scene shows Mario and Luigi walking through Toad Town on the path to Peach's Castle seeing some shops selling some souvenirs, novelty items, power ups, leftover stuff from Christmas, and even some turnips. It's getting around time for the New Years party at the castle. Mario and Luigi looked at each other in the eyes, nodding their heads, and looked to Peach's Castle.
(Music ends)
Mario: It's time to not just bring in the New Year to the whole Mushroom Kingdom, but as well as some questions to Toadsworth.
Luigi: We might get answers revolving around these star-like things we found on the way to the castle.
Mario: (grabs out the star-shaped item out of his pocket) I hope so, I don't know what it could do. Maybe it's some new undiscovered powerup, maybe something revolving around Smithy again, one of Bowser's crazy schemes, or maybe it be from a different world. Still, it might be a beginning of a new Adventure. (puts the star-shaped item back into his pocket) Well then, lets a get a going to Peach's Castle.
Luigi: Okay Mario, I hope Daisy be here at the New Year's party.
Mario: You always hope Daisy comes to the New Year's party every year, because she always come here every year as a guest for it.
Luigi: I know Mario, it's a bit of a habit revolving around Daisy.
Mario and Luigi finally arrive at Peach's Castle in front of the castle doors. The brothers looked at each other in the face with a bit of a serious face.
Mario: Ready Luigi.
Luigi: Ready Mario.
They looked to the doors with happy faces for the New Years party of the year.
Mario Bros: Here we go!
(January 1st, 2001)
(Peach's Castle Theme- Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam - Starts playing)
After a long night at Peach's Castle with the New Year arrived, Mario and Luigi are in the castle's library with Peach and Daisy. They are waiting for Toadsworth to arrive for some questions to be asked to him. For the Mario Brothers, they decided to stay in the guest rooms over the night since it involves the mysterious star-shaped items. They explained to the princesses revolving around how it all happened.
The two princesses were shocked by what Mario and Luigi said, both Peach and Daisy grabbed some books about different types of stars and yet they did not find it in the pages. For the former of the two is curious about the star-shaped items.
Peach: I guess these are not in the books. Since they are not your typical power star.
Mario: It's just that they fell from the sky.
Daisy: The only star-shaped items that fell from the sky in the books is Star Bits, not whatever that is you and Luigi found on the ground.
Peach: Actually, Daisy has got a good point here. I guess that's why you want to talk to Toadsworth for some reason.
Mario Bros: Yes princess.
Daisy: Why does Toadsworth have to be right this time? I've never expected that to ever happen.
Toadsworth (offscreen): You're talking about the talk from last night are you, Miss Daisy.
Everyone turns around and saw Toadsworth entering the library. He walks up to a chair and sits on it.
Toadsworth: I wonder what Master Mario found, maybe it could be... (Mario and Luigi shows the star-shaped items.) a Star Shard! How did you two managed to find some in the Mushroom Kingdom.
Mario: Great, I'm going to deal with Smithy again, maybe Bowser won't mind teaming up with me...
Toadsworth: That's the seven Star Pieces of Star Road you're thinking of Master Mario. A Star Shard is an entirely different thing.
Mario: Oh, thank goodness, for a moment there I thought I was going through a bit of deja-vu on finding the Star Pieces again. What exactly is a Star Shard?
Toadsworth: I guess can answer that to everyone in this room. A Star Shard is basically a piece of a world's barrier which becomes a falling star, it can be used as a mean to travel to other worlds without the use of ships or the use of pipes.
This causes everyone but Toadsworth confused with Mario and Luigi baffled.
Mario: I'm use to going into pipes by now, but a star that can send someone holding it to a different world. I've been a Smash fighter for a few years, but I'm surprised about you know about other worlds and you're just calm about it.
Toadsworth: This isn't my first time about knowing other worlds since my younger days traversing other worlds.
Luigi: What do you mean by this isn't your first time on going to other worlds.
Daisy: What kind of secrets do you even hold?
Peach: What is like during your younger days?
Toadsworth gets off the chair and looks at everyone.
Toadsworth: I guess it's time to show off something of mine. One that I only kept it as a secret from all of you, until now.
(music ends)
He places his cane the table, Toadsworth lifts his hand up. Everyone looking at him is a bit confused.
Luigi: Maybe he be...
(Dearly Beloved - Kingdom Hearts Union χ [Cross])
Suddenly, a bright light appears and fades into a key shaped object in Toadsworth's hand. It is a card themed motif with a shaft that has a magenta color, a guard with a filigree behind it with blue to purple to red to yellow and back to red colors. It also has two clubs, a spade, and a diamond, all of them have a red and yellow pattern, with the diamond having a blue outline. The blade of it has a series of red, orange, and yellow hearts on it. It has a bigger heart as the top of it with a gold color and a red outline. The teeth of it are a spade with a red gradient that has a golden diamond inside the middle of it. It has a golden keychain link with a token that looks like three golden Aces of Diamonds. This unknown object surprised everyone that isn't Toadsworth in the library.
Mario Bros: What is that!?
Toadsworth: This is my old girl, Lady Luck. She is a keyblade. A type of weapon that has the ability to fend of darkness, release hearts from dangerous monsters known as the Heartless, and can be also used like a key true to the name. I happen to be a master of it with a particular set of skills.
Luigi: A what now?
Toadsworth: Weren't you listening Luigi?
Luigi: Sorry Toadsworth.
Toadsworth: Apology accepted Master Luigi. (walks around the library with his Keyblade as a walking staff) Here be a bit of a history lesson here everyone. Years before all of you were born, this is only spoken in fairy tales... there is a big source of light known as Kingdom Hearts, this brings light to the world. Kingdom Hearts has a counterpart known as the χ-blade; this protected the world. However, darkness began to spread across the land, bringing in the Heartless. To drive these vile creatures away, the people created Keyblades in the image of the χ-blade and battle for control of the world itself. However, when the world fell to darkness, the χ-blade was shatter into twenty pieces.
Mario Bros: Twenty pieces?
Toadsworth: Seven of pure light, thirteen pure darkness to be exact. When the χ-blade shattered to pieces, the "true" Kingdom Hearts disappeared into darkness. However, the world is restored by the light within the hearts of children, but only the world became many individual worlds that are separated from each other. This includes the Mushroom Kingdom as one of those worlds.
Mario: That makes sense on how you're in a bit of a worry revolving around the Smash tournament. And yet, you're calm about it.
Toadsworth: I'm concerned about if world order gets broken, but I'm surprised by how those Master Hand and Crazy Hand fellows handled it well. No pun intended.
Mario: Anything else?
Toadsworth: Well, there's a world which is a mere remnant of a battlefield called the Keyblade Graveyard where it's a scarred land filled with Keyblades of fallen warriors. While those remaining Keyblade wielders from the Keyblade War resolved to protect the world from destruction, becoming guardians of world order. I even kept this code seriously.
This talk from Toadsworth even made the Mario Brothers confused for a bit, but they wondered about what he said. World order, Keyblade Graveyard, Keyblade wielders, χ-blade, what does that all mean. But Mario and Luigi know it's all something unexpected to them, even if it's some stuff that they knew on the other worlds.
Mario: That explains about some part of your past experience on going to other worlds. As well as knowledge about these Star Shards.
Toadsworth: That's right master Mario. I only have kept this type of secret hidden for some years, until today.
Luigi: Okay, how much worlds do you know beyond the ones in the Smash tournaments?
Toadsworth: A ton in fact master Luigi, including one that is a city that is filled with light and the most beautiful scenery that I have ever seen in my life.
Mario: How beautiful?
Toadsworth: Like if it's out of a fantasy book.
(music ends)
The Mario Bros are now imagining what this world looks like in their heads while holding the Star Shards in their hands. With a shine appearing in their hands where the Star Shards are at, a strange bright glow surrounding Mario and Luigi's own bodies with a shocked look on their faces.
Mario Bros: What is happening?!
Toadsworth: That would an effect of using a Star Shard leading you to... and it's happening right now. Oh my, that would be tricky for you two since you're new to using the Star Shards, I suggest that you two should hope that you be at somewhere safe.
Mario Bros: Wait what?
Suddenly, a bright light appeared where the Mario Brothers were at, and it starts flying in their place with sounds of the Mario Brothers screaming in a worrying way.
Mario: Mama Mia!!!
Luigi: Why does weird things always happen to...
The light few away with the Mario Brothers out of the library of Peach's Castle through the doors, surprising both Peach and Daisy, while Toadsworth is more concerned about them.
Toadsworth: By the stars, looks like I got to follow Masters Mario and Luigi right now.
Toadsworth dismisses his Keyblade and grabs his cane in one hand and put one in the pocket of his vest and grabs out a Star Shard of his own. This even made Peach surprised, but Daisy on the other hand.
Daisy: How many of these Star Shards are there?!
Toadsworth: I have a lot of them Princess Daisy. Trust me, I do have some in case if I feel like to visit some old friends of mine that are different than King Richard you know. (looks to the doors of the library) Duty calls like my younger days before the whole encounter with the parents of the Mario Brothers.
He used his Star Shard in his hand and a light appeared in his place. This light followed the trail on where the other light gone to. As for Peach and Daisy, they just wanted to have a break right now, but the latter responded with a question.
Daisy: Want to have a walk around the park while waiting for Mario and Luigi to be back here in the Mushroom Kingdom?
Peach: At least this will be relaxing, as long as Bowser try not to kidnap me for this part of the year.
Thus begins this story of plumbers and Keyblades.
