Gossip

Summary:

When someone sees the media mogul Charles Augustus Milverton kissing with his male lover on a tea party, a gossip starts. No one knows that it is actually part of Milverton's plans.

Work Text:

The two men's lips fused in passion in one of the dimly lit corridors of the manor. The ball music became faint as they lost in each other's warmth. They didn't care if they were seen or not. They had nothing to hide.

"Have you heard the news? He was just recently seen in the ball, stinking from the alcohol and kissing in the corner with a man!"

One of the tongues slid into the other's mouth and started to explore it. The other gently bit into the tongue and moaned. For that, he was pressed to the wall even more; the two men embraced each other when they heard the sound of footsteps behind their backs.

"That is surely just gossip. That guy must still be a virgin, he is only interested in business."

"You are doing it well, Ruskin. I didn't expect that you were so sweet, so obedient. Continue and don't stop." One of the men breathed on the other's lips. The one called Ruskin obeyed and his blushing cheeks showed well that he enjoyed what he was doing.

"Do you really believe that? Every man has necessities. He must have done this several times before, just no one caught him in action."

"With pleasure, sir." Ruskin whispered and he wrapped his hand around the other man's neck.

"Lord Preston was the only one who saw the scene. If I were you, I would never believe anything Lord Preston says."

The kissing got really intense. Behind them, one of the guests kept watching the couple and he couldn't believe what he saw. A smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. His enemy was finally in his hands.

"You call Lord Preston a liar? He is more trustable than everything that man tells! He lives from presenting information, guys like him are slimy like a snake. Above that, he is just a commoner!"

My enemy is finally in my hands, the other man thought of the one who was watching them as well and he bit into Ruskin's mouth, overjoyed from the feeling of victory.

"Well, in my opinion, he did more to earn his title as the King of Media than Lord Preston being called the hero of the nation just because of his grandfather."

After he had seen enough, the watcher retreated as quietly as he could. He was sure that the pair didn't notice his presence. It was time to tell everything to the rest of the guests and start the gossip that will ruin the media mogul, Charles Augustus Milverton's name.

"That thought is just blasphemy!"

The kissing couple separated from each other. For a few moments, they tried to catch their breaths. Then Charles Augustus Milverton smiled at his secretary, Ruskin.

"Everything went as it was expected." He grinned. "Only Lord Preston saw us, everyone else was unaware that we sneaked inside. Lord Preston will spread the gossip quickly that he discovered me with my male lover hiding in the dark, thinking that it will be the end of me - but quite the opposite. It will be the end of him. After this, no one will believe his words anymore. Oh, how delicious the taste of ruination is." He licked his lips and winked at Ruskin. "And the taste of your mouth as well.”

Ruskin turned even redder than he was.

"Are you sure that your plan will work, sir?" He asked. "The people must be already talking about us."

"Does it matter, though? It doesn't change the fact that he was drunk and committed sodomy!"

"Just wait and see, Ruskin." Milverton said while he caressed his secretary's cheeks. "Just wait and see."

"What are you even talking about? Mr. Milverton didn't even come to this ball."
