"She's here." Kay would whisper under her breath, seeing the WSQK radio station outside of her windshield. Robin would be inside, talking into her microphone. "Have you ever wondered what's ACTUALLY going on in the Mac-Z? I mean, they claim to be protecting Hawkins, but who's to say they aren't experimenting on more children because they can't get El?"
"She knows everyone in Hawkins can hear her, right?" Mike looked at Will, holding a walkie to his ear. Will looked back at him with fear in his eyes. "Is she talking on the wrong channel?" He'd press the walkie to his lips, opening his mouth. "Robin! Everyone can hear you!" He desperately shouted into the walkie, panting as he awaited a response. Nothing. He'd try again, "Robin? Robin! Can you hear me? Everyone can hear what you're saying!"
Robin looked down at her walkie. "Shit! You guys could hear me the whole time?" Robin looked horrified. Suddenly, the door would fly open, with a grey haired woman looking directly at Robin. "Rockin' Robin, isn't it?" She'd growl. "We hear your daily squwak... every single morning. Dr. Kay would then point her gun to the microphone, shooting it. The walkies suddenly went quiet.
"Robin?" Will shouted. He'd frantically turn to Mike, starting to panic. "We need to get to the radio station now!" Mike nodded, turning his walkie on and yelling into it. "Steve, do you copy? This is a code red. I repeat, this is a code red! Code red!" Nancy picked up Steves walkie, "Mike? This is Nancy. What the hell is happening?" She waited for her brother to respond, growing slightly concerned. "Nancy! We think Robin is in trouble. Get Steve and haul ass to WSQK! Over and out!" Nancy looked over to Steve and Jonathan, the latter hearing the entire conversation. "Steve, get a shirt on and take us to the radio station! Robin is in trouble!" Will furrowed his brows. "Why is Steve always shirtless?"
Joyce loaded the three boys, Max, El, and Hopper into the van, and Steve would load Nancy, Jonathan, and Dustin into his car. All of them would speed to the radio station, slamming the gas pedals. Back at the radio station, Dr. Kay and her other soldiers would grab Robin, dragging her to the van. Robin would fight back, being able to break her arms out from their grip, whipping her walkie out and frantically shouting into it, "Guys! The military knows what's going on! They have a base in the upside down! They're after Eleven. Kill Vecna and then...!"
Bang...
Joyce pulled up to the radio station, her face immediately turning grey from what she saw out of her windshield. Robin was on the floor. Everyone in the van immediately ran out, Will leading as they ran to Robin. "Robin! Robin!" Will would kneel next to her, removing his coat and pressing it against her stomach. "Will..." She'd meet her eyes with his. "Never forget what I said. You have all the answers. A simple snowball could turn into an avalanche. Take the chance with him, Will. Make me proud. Goodbye." Robin grabbed cupped her hand around his face. "Robin! Robin, no! You'll be okay. You'll survive!" Robin closed her eyes for the last time, receiving an agonizing scream from Will.
Steves group would pull up at the same time, with all of them running out of the car immediately. They ran up to the scene, Will looking at Steve in pure fear. Steve couldn't believe it. Robin was dead. The only girl who actually understood him was dead. He stood there in shock, replaying every moment that he had with her.
Nancy covered her mouth, tears welling in her eyes. Jonathan melted to the ground, immediately embracing Will as the boy sobbed in Jonathan's arms. Dustin and Steve hugged, both of them crying for their best friend. The rest of the party and El cried as well. Robin was always nice to them. The military had already left when they had gotten there, but everyone standing over Robin had collectively decided that Vecna was no longer target number one. It was Kay.
-TWO DAYS LATER-
Will sat in the corner of the radio station, drawing on a paper that sat on a clipboard. He was drawing a picture of a boy wearing a wizard hat, and a girl talking into a microphone. It was titled, "Will the Wise and Rockin' Robin!!" He started crying again, with Robins words replaying in his head. "A simple snowball could turn into an avalanche. Take that chance with him." Joyce then walked over to comfort her crying son. "Will, sweetie, I miss her too." Mike would also walk downstairs. "Oh...should I leave you two alone?" He asks. "No," Will said, "I have something I need to tell you...get my brother and the party."
Joyce, Jonathan, and the five party members sat around Will, the party curious as to what he had to say. "I'm...not like the rest of you." He'd start to tear up. "I mean...I am, in so many ways. And that'll never change. I..I love playing D&D with you, and so many other things! But..." Tears would start streaming down his face now. "I like boys." The bandaid was ripped off now. He said it straight up. "Theres...this boy. And he makes me feel so many things, things that no other person has ever made me feel before. But...I don't think he likes me back." That comment was, of course, directed towards Mike. I...hope you'll all still accept me." Will now looked to the floor, tears falling down his face.
"Will..." Joyce rubbed his face. "You're my son. I will never ever not accept you. You will never lose me." Jonathan went over to his brother, hugging him. "You won't lose anyone here, Will." The three party boys and El ran up to him into a group hug. "We love you, Will." Eleven whispered into his ear, resting her head on his shoulder. "Hey! What about the one who can't walk?" Max chimed in, everyone laughing and letting Will out. "Of course I didn't forget you, Max." He wrapped his arms around the wheelchair bound girl, squeezing her tight. Max and Will had gotten close before he left for California since El and Mike never really showed up to the mall.
Mike pulled Will aside into another room, looking into his eyes. Will didn't say it, but he knew that boy was him. "I love you, too." Will was shocked, but he was happy. That's all he's wanted for the past 4 years. The two melted into a kiss, sitting down against the wall for what felt like seconds and hours at the same time.
