“Why did we all get dropped in this hell f' place?!”

Shepherd yelled while running away from some centaur-lion mix of a creature, holding Sarnax in his arms.

He put the lizardfolk cleric onto the ground and whipped Judgement and Redemption out, blasting the creature in the face.

Kana ran towards the creature, jumping up in the air and shoving her weapon through the creature’s head.

Suddenly a blade came through the chest of the creature, blood pooling everywhere.

The creature slumped to the ground, disappearing in a purple cloud of smoke, leaving items behind.

In front of Kana stood a short, blonde haired boy? He didn't look much older than 20 to Shepherd, he sheathed his weapon, picking the items Shepherd hadn’t noticed yet up and storing them.

A blonde man with facial markings came running towards them.

“Wild! What in Hylia’s name happened?!” The blonde man panted.

The boy made hand gestures to the man.

“Din’s tits, well you did mention that there were troubles regarding one here so that’s solved then.” Shepherd noticed his right eye being closed, a scar covering it.

“I don’ wanna be rude ‘nd interrupt, we just landed here somehow, what did we just fight?” Shepherd asked.

“Apologies, what you all just fought was a Lynel, they’re barbaric monsters from this era.”

“Era? Ya mean like an era of history?” The Tiefling gunslinger asked.

“Sort of.”

The boy signed more to the man. “Fuck, right caught me there on manners. The name’s Time by the way, well technically it’s Link but all of us are called Link. This is Wild.” The man, Time placed a hand on the boy’s, Wild’s shoulder.

“Name’s Shepherd Morgan.”

The rest of the Azran Expedition introduced themselves to the two new people.

“All of you can come with us to our camp.” Time suggested.

“I’m in, it seems y’all know where in the nine hells we are, though won’t we maybe scare ya fellow ‘Links’?”

“You’ll be fine, none of us randomly take people into camp without any trust, we trust you in not killing us.” Time chuckled, smirking a bit.

~~~~~~~
It took a bit of encouragement from ‘Time’ for the other Links to trust the Azran Expedition, which was understandable, if it would have been the other way around Shepherd would also take a little bit to warm up to strangers.
All of them, the Chain as the Links called themselves as a group and the Azran Expedition, sat around a fire.
“I say all of us do a no context adventure.” Blue scarf Link said.
“What’s that?” Shepherd asked.
“Explain your adventure or whatever you were doing before you came here without context, so no names of people or places.”
“Sounds intriguing.” Victoria replied.
“All of us have had the same adventure though, ain’t that gonna be confusin’?”
"Y'all can explain from your point of view.” Time replied to Shepherd’s question.
“Sky, you start, since you're the first of us.” Blue scarf said, pointing at ‘Sky’.
“Daydreamer goes on quest to find friend, forges magical sword, fights evil god and wins. That’s all.”
“Wow, interesting." Clayton wrote something down, most likely notes on Sky’s adventure.
“Are we going in rough order of the timeline or something else?” The smallest one asked.
Blue scarf nodded, “Eh, anyone who wants to go next?”
“I’ll go next.” Time said while rummaging through his pack.
All of the links went in a chaotic order until it was only the Azran expedition left.
“Which one of us should go first?” Victoria asked.
“I say Clayton as he is the one who started the expedition.” Shepherd answered.
The rest of the afternoon followed smoothly, they packed up camp and travelled more around Wild’s Era, stopping at a stable called Wetland Stable for the night.
The language barrier between Wild and the Expedition was annoying, Shepherd would admit that, he was told Wild could speak but he didn’t like talking nor could he do lengthy conversations, downsides of being a knight the boy had told him.
The next the group took off towards Zora’s Domain, Wild was very happy to be able to see Sidon again, they messaged each other frequently while Wild traveled with the Chain but it had been around 2 months since they had last seen each other.
He didn’t know if the Chain or the Azran Expedition would accept him as not straight, but it didn’t really matter, he loved Sidon like no other, well maybe Mipha but she passed on.
The group passed one of the geoglyphs on their way to Zora’s Domain, Wild spotted someone standing near the pool.
‘I’m gonna check on the person there real quick.’ He signed to Time, not waiting for an answer before sprinting off.
Something seemed familiar to this person, like he had seen them before.
He approached carefully, inspecting the person at the same time.
It took him a moment to realize that the person was Rauru, the first king of Hyrule, well of Wild’s Era, and the person who gave his arm to Wild.
Rauru turned around as Wild accidentally stepped on a stick.
“Shit.” Wild cursed as both of them stared at each other like they had seen ghosts.
Awkward, Wild thought while thinking of the next best course of action.
“I suppose you can tell me where we are.” Rauru said, breaking the silence.
“Third geoglyph, somewhere far in the future for you.” Wild’s voice was hoarse yet had a softer tone to it.
“Oh.” Rauru said, confused.
“Come, we already have new people with us and an extra person is oke.” Wild gestured for the Zonai to come with him.
It took some light encouragement and assurement to have another person join the already large group.
“Where are we going?” Rauru asked Wild.
‘Zora’s Domain.’ Wild signed to him.
Rauru nodded, sinking into thought.
Shepherd didn’t think much of the sheep-goat person joining the group, one of the Links had translated Wild’s signs saying Wild knew the goat man from his second quest.
Truly having another person who didn’t look like the average person in this ‘Era’ was good, meant that mostly the Expedition wouldn’t be treated that weirdly by the people of this ‘Era’.
The road to ‘Zora’s Domain’ was quite peaceful, a few monsters on the way but not more than Wild told them.
It was nearing evening when they arrived at ‘Zora’s Domain’, a large, red skinned man was waiting at the entrance for them, at least that’s what idea it gave Shepherd.
“Link! You’re back!”
Wild ran into the man’s arms, kissing him on the lips tenderly.
The two broke the kiss, the man putting Wild down as the latter signed quickly to the first.
“Ah yes, the other heroes, and oh what?!” The man half shouted, he had shark-like features and was built differently than ‘Hylians’.
The man glanced towards the goat man, a sign of recognition splattered over his face.
Wild signed more to the man.
“That makes perfect sense, my pearl.” The man spoke.
“I suppose I should introduce myself, I am King Sidon of the Zora, and am Link, or as most of you know him, Wild’s boyfriend.” Sidon, that made somewhat sense in Shepherd’s mind.
Sidon led them towards the inn.
"I'll stay here.” Wild spoke, Shepherd hadn’t heard his voice yet.
Wild’s voice was softer in tone than Shepherd thought.
“That’s fine my pearl.” Sidon kissed Wild on his head.
