"I told you, I'm scared!"
"You're never going to learn if you don't make this first leap! C'mon, traveler!"
Your knees were shaking, but seeing her beaming face looking up at you... It helped ease the anxiety a little, didn't it?
"Amber.." You whispered, feeling tears starting to well up in your eyes as you looked down. It wasn't a tall hill, and she was waiting a small distance away to catch you if you fell, but the idea of having to fall through the air was a lot.
"You have the gliding champion of mondstadt right in front of you, don't you realize that?" Her long brown hair was blowing in the wind, her amber eyes glimmering in the sunshine and looking at you with nothing but hope.
"You can do this. The wind is perfect. That's anemo, that's Barbatos guiding you. Traveler, when even one of the Gods want you to to do something, that means it really is time!"
You rubbed a nervous tear off your face, breathing in and out, feeling the air she spoke fill your lungs and sweep out the stress.
"You swear on everything, you'll catch me if I fall?"
She opened her arms wide, giggling excitedly.
"Yes, yes! I'm here!"
You opened the glider fully, leaping forward and doing just as she said, letting the wind guide. The breeze pushed you forward, the hands of mondstadt's God ushering you forward till you hit a warm barrier. Amber hugged you excitedly, speaking loud and happy,
"You did it, you see!? I told you, I told you! I knew you would be good at gliding!"
Truth be told, the distance you had flown was probably no more than a couple meters, but.. she would hype you up, regardless. It was easier than you had thought it would be. You blushed slightly and squirmed out of her arms, waving off what you had just done.
"It was nothing, just good wind.."
She giggled again at you, and nodded.
"Good wind, sure... You did something you were scared of, that's what I'm most proud of."
