Finding himself transmigrated into Madam Meiyin, the first thing Shen Yuan does after coming to terms with his - now her - new body is to panic-divorce all 27 of her husbands. She can't believe she has to thank that hack Airplane for giving the succubus that incredibly bullshit “instant divorce with no hard feelings” spell. Shen Yuan had been livid when that spell was introduced in Proud Immortal Demon Way to get rid of a wife that was proving to be very unpopular with the readers. Obviously Airplane had written himself into a corner and used the most half-assed way imaginable to get Bingge out of that marriage.
But, well, it definitely works, and once she no longer has the threat of sex with 27 random NPCs hanging over her head, she finds her new life easier than she had expected. Her system had given her a tutorial quest where her goal was simply to act in character. Seeing “+5 points for amiable personality", “+5 points for seductive allure”, “+5 points for irritability”, “+5 points for motherly attitude” pop up every time she interacted with anyone helped her feel secure in her new role. Besides, to explain away any discrepancies from the original goods she announces that she had seen a prophetic vision warning the succubi to change their ways lest they suffer greatly.
Unfortunately, it isn't even a lie. Madam Meiyin shudders to remember the chapter where Luo Binghe first met the original goods. He was wandering past Madam Meiyin's cave as it was being attacked by a group of cultivators for stealing away an old couple's only son. Dozens of succubi had been murdered mercilessly by the time Luo Binghe drove off the humans.
Looking at the girlish faces of her young charges, how could Madam Meiyin not do her best to keep them out of danger, even though they're demons?
Thankfully she has a blueprint to follow, because in Proud Immortal Demon Way, especially after the joining of the realms, the original Madam Meiyin used her connection to Luo Binghe to create a more sustainable life for succubi. By the later chapters they were no longer in danger of being wantonly slaughtered by wandering cultivators. And so she busies herself with building up respectability, forming good relationships with neighboring human and demon settlements, creating agreements to provide her succubi with qi sources without draining anyone dry, and making sure no humans enter her caves without signing a contract witnessed by other humans.
When she achieves some local progress, she sends out her older and more reliable proteges to other dens to introduce her ideas. In return, they send her their young girls to learn about her system. After a couple of years, her den becomes known as a safe and reliable place to educate young succubi. Before she knows it, Madam Meiyin has turned into basically a schoolmarm running a boarding school for young ladies. And she's honestly very okay with that!
