The best thing Mumbo could do was ignore it all. Ignore the screams, ignore the shouts, the sounds of bones crushing and blood spilling. He kept his focus on wires, completing his task without paying attention to the chaos behind him.
Because Mumbo already knew what was there.
If he turned around now he’d see the faces of his lovers twisted and grotesque. Expressions he never wanted to see on the faces of the men he loved. So instead he ignored it all.
The noises stopped, Scar and Cub came to fetch him, the scent of blood clinging to them.
