Chapter Text
He couldn't stay here. Not when he had no clue how long the potion would last. He had enough willpower to try to shadow travel, but where would he go? He could feel the potion wiggling through his system. He was alone. It had never been as prominent as now. He was so weak that it was hard to move then the pain came again, his vision darkened, and he almost passed out. Not that he would ever admit it but he panicked, with no destination in mind, he melted into the shadows.
He landed on the ground with a thud, his head pounding, his body felt like it had been dipped in a mix of lava and acid. He had to bite his lip to keep from crying out. The world lost focus for a second; he was a shivering mess on a wooden floor. A nice dark oak floor though why that bothered him he wasn't sure. He slowly gathered his bearings. He figured out why this place had seemed so familiar. He was in his cabin at Camp Half-Blood though why he had appeared here of all places was a mystery.
"Dad?" Two voices cried out in surprise. He managed to lift his head enough to see that in the doorway of the cabin stood his children. They stared at him in shock. His eyes snapped shut as pain tore at him again; he curled tighter; the potion getting closer to finishing. The small part of him that wasn't focused on his misery felt guilty for dropping this on his children. He slowly started to lose consciousness, one of the last things he heard was his daughter's voice ordering Nico to get Will then everything faded to black.
