A Very Merry Anderson Christmas

Summary:

It’s Christmas at Hanks house and a celebration is afoot

Chapter 1: Sir, That’s my Emotional Support Dog and Child

Chapter Text

It was Christmas Eve at the Anderson home.

Everyone was surprisingly over

Kara and Luther were with Rose and Adam in the kitchen doing a puzzle.

Gavin was being supervised by Fowler to make sure the detective didn't say anything snide to Connor, both men sitting on the couch.

Chris and Tina talked amongst themselves nearby.

And Marcus, North, Simon, and Josh were on the floor in a circle playing UNO.

Josh wasn’t doing so well.

North grinned, putting down a card.

“Red or two, Josh.” She teased.

Josh groaned, burying his face in Sumo's fur. The Saint Bernard just boofed happily.

Alice giggled from her position next to Sumo.

Josh wrapped an arm around Alice.

“That’s it! I’m getting my emotional support dog and child!” He declared, causing Marcus, Simon, and North to giggle.

Meanwhile, Hank and Connor watched over the scenery with contentment.

Hank looked over at the android who had become his son figure.

He was not oblivious; he knew Connor was behind everyone coming over.

Hank spoke.

“Hey Connor?” He began

Connor looked over his LED light momentarily flickering yellow, no doubt feeling a bit nervous at the sudden speech.

“Yes, Hank?”

Hank felt inwardly relieved that Connor had finally stopped calling him lieutenant.

Hank's eyes softened, a contrast to his usual gruff features.

“You know I know you invited everyone over, right?” He said with amusement,

Connor blushed blue.

“I…my apologies. Should I not have?! Was it too much?!” The android fretted.

Hank put a reassuring hand on Connor's shoulder.

“Oi, calm down, son. I don’t mind. It’s about time we get some peace in our daily chaotic lives. This…this is nice.”

Connor tensed up, especially hearing the rare sentiment coming from Hank.

“Merry Christmas, Hank.”

Hank smiled.

“Merry Christmas, Connor.”
