family affair | blue odair

Summary:

There’d be no thinking about it, or considering it, or weighing up the pros and cons. The moment Coriolanus Snow had first conjured up the idea of forcing his two most prized possessions to procreate, create some miracle baby, it was set in stone. He already had his answer.

Finnick Odair and Cashmere Nicholo both thought their lives were over after President Snow forced them to have a baby together at only 18 and 19 years old.

Turns out they were right, in some aspects, but also incredibly wrong.

Chapter Text

Persephone Blue Odair, or just Blue to her friends and family, was born in October of 68 A.D.D, to Finnick Odair (18) and Cashmere Nicholo (19).

This caused a lot of controversy amongst the Capitol citizens, over the fact that they had her whilst being so young. And because they weren't even in a relationship. No one knew why or how this happened, except for them and the President.

———

There was only one Victor of the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen. There was no rule change in the Games at all.

This means that the Third Quarter Quell was also not changed to be the Victors of previous years.

Instead, the 3rd Quarter Quell consisted of tributes reaped from the top 10% wealthiest families in the Districts, including the Victors' families, to remind the districts that their privilege is a debt to repay to the Capitol, not a luxury.

The Victor was 17 year old, Aquillia Golding (D2), niece of the Victor of the 62nd Hunger Games, Enobaria Golding.

(In the 75th Hunger Games, Primrose Everdeen was reaped again, now being apart of the top 10% wealthiest families in District 12, but this year, Katniss couldn't save her, leading to her death in the Games.)

There was no rebellion, and the Games continued on as normal. Finnick, Cashmere, Gloss, and all the other Victors who died in Catching Fire/Mockingjay are still alive.

———

President Snow died in the year 78 A.D.D from an unknown illness and his role was passed on to his son, Julius, who continued the Hunger Games as usual. He also continued the trafficking of the Victors, but made some changes, such as increased prices, etc.

Notes:

This is a random idea I came up with not too long ago, and as of right now, I just wanna see what people think of it :)
