Work Text:
Arada paced up the hallway. She had been walking this strip of floor for so many hours now. She knew how many red tiles had been used (65). She knew there was a small hole in the wall behind the information hologram (when the hologram changed displays (every 17 minutes) the hole was visible for approximately half a second). Deity, she’d been here so long, she couldn’t stand it any longer. She stalked backed down the corridor and entered the waiting room. She could see Ratthi sitting with Pin-Lee, the two of them chatting in hushed tones. She thought about going to talk to them, but honestly, she didn’t want to deal with them and their boiler plate overtures. She circled the waiting room and just as she was about to start up the hallway once more, a voice called out.
“Arada? We’re ready for you.” Arada spun to face the nurse. “Everyone did well. You can meet your daughter now.”
