“You’re really pretty, you know that?” Diana said while applying makeup to Eva’s face. She didn’t respond but Diana didn’t mind. “Like a doll…” She whispered sweetly. The foundation suited her skin perfectly, like it was made for her. Eva looks stunning, though Diana bets she’d look good regardless of what she had on. To Diana, Eva was like the apple Eve bit. A beautiful, tasty, tantalizing fruit that could only end with her world being set aflame. A sin that she can’t have but wants anyway, would do anything to eat it.
Diana grabbed the concealer tube to cover Eva’s eyebags. They have certainly gotten more noticeable compared to when they first met. Especially after what’s transpired recently.
Blush comes next, intended to bring life to her complexion. Her skin is very pale, there’s no warmth to it. Diana misses the way her face had a slight pink tint to it. So cute.
Moving onto her eyes. She applied a layer of glitter over black eyeshadow. The goal was to replicate Eva’s usual makeup, with a few creative liberties. Diana took out her eyeliner to add the final touch of a sharp wing to pronounce her eye shape.
Eva still hasn’t spoken. Diana doesn’t care. Staring at Eva is really all she needs. She does wish Eva could say something though. Her voice is lovely. Diana runs her hand down the girl’s face. Her skin has gone cold by now, but that doesn’t matter. Nothing matters. All Diana wants is to be with her, in life and in death, by her side always. It’s just unfortunate that it starts with death.
Eva’s breathing has long since stopped, there’s no pulse under her neck, or rise and fall of her chest. Her body has been laying there for gods know how long. Even with horrific burns all over her body Diana still thinks she’s the most gorgeous thing she’s ever seen. She wishes she could worship her feet. Pray to her while on her hands and knees. Dead or Alive she’s like an angel. Beauty men would go to war for. To kill for. A face Diana would kill for. Shame she was too late.
Diana takes a tube of bright red lipstick, and applies it to Eva’s lips slowly. She stares at her lips before leaning down and kissing them. Tears slowly streamed down her face. She hadn’t cried the entire trial, but she can’t hold it in anymore. “Eva-..” her voice cracks “Eva…!” she cries out holding onto her tightly. “I miss you, I miss you, I miss you, I miss you..!” Diana chants to a girl who can no longer hear her.
Diana calms herself down so that she can finish her work, finally taking out a bottle of setting spray. She wants the makeup to last. It might not last forever, but it’ll last long enough. Long enough for Diana to stare at until she dies.
Diana looks up at Eva's lifeless eyes before laughing quietly. She lays down beside her on the cold hard flooring. “i love you so…so much, Eva.” she whispers, and closes her eyes. She lays there. She doesn’t know how much time passes. All that she knows is that she’s laying on the ground hugging Eva’s corpse. She doesn’t move, she doesn’t care. Life is moving on without her in it. But that doesn’t matter anymore.
At least they’ll be together forever.
