Wei Wuxian woke up.
“Lan zhan?” Wei Wuxian said walking towards the sounds of sniffles, he had recognized the place to be the Jingshi, and he knew that the only people who could be there were Lan Qiren, Lan Xichen, and Lan Wangji.
“Lan Zhan?-” Wei Wuxian repeated before he widened his eyes.
“Lan Zhan?!” Wei Wuxian’s eyes widened as he saw Lan Wangji’s hair disheveled and messed up, his eyes red from crying.
“Wei… Ying?” Lan Wangji said, both his voice and his body trembling.
“Lan Zhan!? Why are you crying!?” Wei Wuxian said, panicking.
“Wei Ying” Lan Wangji said his hand moving to Wei Wuxian’s feet, hugging his legs
“Wei Ying, Wei Ying, Wei Ying,” Lan Wangji said rapidly.
“Lan Zhan! I’m here, I’m here.” Wei Wuxian said going on his knees to hug Lan Wangji. Lan Wangji hugged Wei Wuxian like Wei Wuxian was going to disappear, his soft yet tight grip.
“Wei Ying, I saw you, I saw you, you- you fell.” Lan Wangji said, his voice trembling, his body shaking even more. Those words were enough to make Wei Wuxian’s heartbreak, the pain, the tears, the emotions. All because of his one selfless act.
“Lan Zhan…” Wei Wuxian started, understanding the situation, tears welling up in his eyes.
“Lan Zhan, I’m so sorry” Wei Wuxian cried, going on his knees
“It’s all my fault, I made a bad decision.” Wei Wuxian hugged.
“No, not Wei Ying’s fault, mine,” Lan Wangji said, hugging him back.
“No, no Lan Zhan its my fault” Wei Wuxian argued
After a few moments of tears, apologies, and more hugging.
“Ah! Lan Zhan does your back hurt?-” Wei Wuxian said pulling away
“I- I love you.” Lan Wangji said, pulling him in for a hug, his ears red as tomatoes. Wei Wuxian blushed, but giggled.
“I love you too Lan Zhan!” Wei Wuxian said.
“N-no not like that,” Lan Wangji looked away, not looking into Wei Wuxian’s eyes.
Wei Wuxian cupped Lan Wangji’s cheeks, “Yes! Like that!” Wei Wuxian kissed Lan Wangji's forehead.
“...”
“Hm? Lan Zhan?- Wah! You’re ears are so hot and red!” Wei Wuxian cupped his ears, Wangji’s hot ears met Wei Wuxian’s cold hands.
“Hehe, so warm” Wei Wuxian smiled.
“Lan Zhan, is your back ok?” Wei Wuxian said
“Mn” Lan Wangji said
“Don’t lie to me Lan Zhan >:(” Wei Wuxian pouted
“A little” Lan Wangji muttered as he looked down.
“Let me put some salve on it m’kay?”
“Mn”, Lan Wangji nodded, as Wei Wuxian stood up and grabbed the salve.
“Let me help you take off your robes Lan Zhan.” Wei Wuxian said helping Lan Wangji take off his robes.
“Mn” Lan Wangji said, his ears tinting a pink-ish color. Wei Wuxian frowned looking at the fresh scars on Lan Wangji’s back, Wei Wuxian took off his hair ribbon, and used it to tie Lan Wangji’s hair, before he applied the ointment.
“There,” Wei Wuxian kissed Lan Wangji’s shoulder “Done.”
“!”, Wei Wuxian giggled at Lan Wangji’s face,
“Do you want to put your robes back on?” Wei Wuxian says, Lan Wangji nodded his head.
“M’kay lemme help you put it on,” Wei Wuxian helped Lan Wangji wear his inner robe, then his outer robe.
“Wei Ying,” Lan Wangji said looking at Wei Wuxian.
“Do you have to leave soon?” Lan Wanji said his eye pleading for him to stay.
“Oh, Lan Zhan,” Wei Wuxian said, hugging onto Lan Wangji.
“I think so but I don’t wanna leaveee.” He said snuggling into the crook of Lan Wangji’s neck.
“W-Wei Ying…”
Wei Wuxian giggles “Don’t worry Lan Zhan the future is beautiful, go raise A-Yuan for us M’kay?”
“Wei Ying…” Lan Wangji said his voice having a twinge of sadness.
“Wei Ying don’t go.”
