"Stop cuddling on the couch, idiots! Come help me decorate the common room!" Nobara shouted from the common area in the First Year Jujutsu Tech dorms. She couldn't deal with the two of them anymore, because ever since they got together, they'd been absolutely insufferable.
Megumi and Yuuji getting together had been inevitable—Nobara knew that, of course—they'd been dancing around each other for months before Yuuji finally made a move.
She'd been trying to set them up subtly for a while, but both of them were idiots and thought that her little "hangouts" were literally just hangouts between best friends.
But finally. Finally! They were together. And happy. But also disgustingly adorable. And Yuuji's love language was 100% physical affection, and he was constantly touching Megumi (affectionately, non-sexually, of course) in one way or another. Arms around his waist, holding his hand… etc.
Sometimes, Megumi would counter Nobara's biting comments whenever she saw them touching each other in some way by talking about her and Maki.BUT! Her and Maki were not interested—nor did they partake in— in PDA the way that Megumi and Yuuji did.
Yeah, sometimes they would hold hands, or lean on each other in public, but it wasn't all out like the two boys.
And now, she was sure that they were cuddling on the couch in Yuuji's room.
Well they had to stop, because they were going to decorate the common area (not the tree, as Gojo and Geto would want to help with that when they got home from their Christmas shopping) as a surprise for their two teachers when they got home.
"Hurry up or I'm getting Toge to force you to get up!" she shouted down the hall, and immediately heard scrambling.
Nobara grinned in satisfaction.
Then she felt a warm hand on her shoulder and paused, turning her head to see who it was.
"Babe, you've gotta be nicer to them. They're not as mature as we are." Maki murmured into her ear before leaning her head on Nobara's shoulder, making the younger girl blush.
Nobara, flustered, tried to come up with a good response. "Well… they should be! They're sorcerers! They should be doing better things than cuddling?"
"Are you saying cuddling is a waste of time?" Maki said, smirking.
"What? No! I'm saying— well…"
"Should I not cuddle you then?"
Nobara didn't know she could even get that red. So she swatted Maki away affectionately and pressed a kiss to her cheek before saying, "No, you definetly should, but we have to start decorating or we aren't going to be done before Gojo-sensei and Geto-sensei get home!"
Maki sighed and trudged down the hall to where Megumi and Yuuji were.
Before she could bang on their door, however, they stumbled out of their room.
"We're coming, Kugisaki!" Yuuji said, practically sprinting down the hall.
"Yes, we're coming, hold on a moment." Megumi added on in his monotone voice that never changed—not really, unless he was scared or angry. Those were his three settings. Monotone, scared, and angry.
Nothing else.
"Since you two made us wait, you can help us hang the lights high up on the walls." Nobara said smugly, thinking she'd given the two lovebirds the hardest job. When Yuuji readily (albeit excitedly) agreed to help, she realized that maybe she could have picked any other job.
"Sounds great! We'll get to it, Kugisaki!"
Megumi shrugged and followed after Yuuji.
If Nobara had been meaner, she would have separated the two boys, but she wasn't that mean.
"When you two are done, can you also hang up the mistletoe? And no kissing! That's for later!" Maki added on. "Just because you'll be using the stool anyways, it's easier to give you both the jobs that need to be done higher up anyways."
"Alright, we'll do that too. Where can we find it?" Megumi asked, then nodded as Maki pointed to a box.
Nobara started decorating with the second years after she was sure that the two boys were locked in and working properly. Occasionally, during breaks, she would press a brief, unnoticeable by anyone else who wasn't looking at them closely kiss to Maki's lips, just because.
It wasn't weird because it was brief.
One time, Yuuji forgot that people were around and started a full on makeout session with Megumi in a corner.
There was video proof.
Nobara had it, and nobody else knew, and she planned on using it for blackmail. Blackmail for Megumi specifically. Yuuji probably would blush the first time and show the video off the second, with how much of an idiot he was.
"Babe, pass me the garland?" Maki said, and Nobara handed her the garland she was pointing at.
"Here ya go."
"Thank you!"
"Tuna salmon." Inumaki huffed. (That was Inumaki-speak for: You guys are too fucking sweet.)
"What?" Nobara asked inquisitively. She still hadn't cracked the code on Inumaki talk yet.
"He's telling you to get a room!" Megumi shouted from across the room.
Nobara's turn to huff came quickly. Get a room? When Yuuji and Megumi were in the room?
Ridiculous.
But that was how she liked it.
Ridiculous.
That was how they were.
And when Gojo and Geto came back and caused even more chaos (and groaning from how sweet and gross they were), it was even more perfect.
Maybe she would give Yuuji and Megumi a break.
As long as they didn't make out in public again.
