“Charlie, hello, dear! How have you been? Not too badly, I hope. No? Good!”

“Anyway, I’m just giving you a heads up that I will be stopping by to see you. We have so much to catch up on! It’s been a while— Nearly eight years, right?—but not too long, thankfully. Perks of being immortal.”
“N-Not too—? Mom—“
“I hear that you have been busy! I’m so proud of you! I always knew you had it in you! If you were just left on your own, no help whatsoever, you would finally learn what means to be a leader! At long last!”
“Mom—“
“But there’s still so much that you have to learn, so much that we have to discuss! And let me guess, your father made it difficult again! *sigh* I’m not surprised…always ruining everything…”
“What—No! He didn’t—He’s actually been—“
“But don’t you worry your sweet little head, darling! I’ve been wrapped up with important business, and now I finally have time to come home and take it off your hands. I hope you prepared a room for me. This project of yours is certainly…interesting…but I’m dying to see it for myself.”
“Oh, that’s—“
“But I can’t talk now. We’ll discuss more when I arrive. But do me a favor and keep your father out of my sight! Ugh! Seven hundred voicemails and he still cannot take a hint! Pathetic.”
