Chapter Text
New Young Soul of Super Might
The scene shows of a landscape that looks like it's between a desert wasteland with some grassy greens here and there, everything so peaceful like nothing could ruin such a scenery by anything.
Except for a freaking giant explosion that suddenly erupted from a far distance that can be felt because of the earthquake from that explosion for a moment, and there was even one man being sent flying by the shockwave of the explosion.
Now we zoom in closer, showing a large crater with pieces of metal shattered throughout the crater and at the very center is one little girl with not a single scratch on her body.
(Capsule Corp)
"Huh?" A man stopped in the middle of his training exercise in the gravity room, having felt something power just now though it was only for an instant moment then it was completely gone.
"What's up, dad? You'd you stop?" The boy asked his father.
"I don't know, I thought I felt a strong power just now yet there's nothing now." The man answered.
This man is known as Vegeta, he is a well-built man of below-average stature, standing at 164 centimeters tall. His hair is black and spikes upwards with a prominent widow's peak. He possesses defined eyes with a consistently stern look to them. He weas a sleeveless dark blue tank top tucked into matching sweatpants along with white gloves and boots.
But Vegeta isn't just any man, he's a Saiyan, one of the two remaining Saiyans in the universe, and the prince of all Saiyans too.
"Maybe it was just your imagination, probably from training too much." The son guessed.
His name is Trunks; he's 8 years old with short lavender hair and blue eyes. He wears a dark green gi, an orange belt, orange wristbands and the same golden boots.
Trunks is also half-Saiyan from his dad and half-earthling from his mom.
"Hmm, maybe…" Vegeta said, maybe he was imagining that power he sensed.
"(But still, that power felt so real like it was that of… of a Saiyan.)" Vegeta thought wondered if that was real or not.
"Vegeta! Trunks! Dinner's ready!" A woman called out to her husband and son.
"Oh right, we can go fill up our bellies!" Trunks smiled.
"Fine, but we're coming back here right after dinner to continue with our training for another hour." Vegeta decided to go for dinner, maybe this could clear his mind from that instant power reading he felt a moment ago.
"Hey dad, what do you think the tournament will be like when we get there?" Trunks asked.
"Probably just full of idiotic weaklings who are not like us because of how strong we are, but at least there will Kakarot and Gohan being there to make things interesting enough." Vegeta said.
Yes, there is only one reason and only reason alone why he would enter the World Martial Tournament this year, and that is to face his rival who he's been trying to surpass for years.
"(Just you wait, Kakarot. This will be the year that I beat you in a one-on-one fight, and it will be a battle that none have ever seen.)" Vegeta thought smirked.
(Day of the World Martial Tournament)
"Ah, just great… Can you believe this? They're saying we're not old enough." Trunks said to his best friend, Goten, about not being able to fight in the main tournament for the older fighters.
"What?" Goten explained in shock.
Son Goten is a 7-year-old boy with spiky black hair and black eyes, lighter-pale complexion and a playful face. He also wears an orange gi similar to Goku's, minus the kame symbol, along with a dark blue long-sleeved undershirt and black training shoes with dark blue shin guards.
"Since when did this thing had a junior division? I guess we've been out of the loop." Bulma was surprised to hear about this new addition in the tournament.
Bulma is a young woman with turquoise hair and blue eyes. She wears a sleeveless red dress and a yellow kerchief tied around her neck, and black shoes.
"We're not going in the play pin! What's it gonna take for us to bump up?" Trunks asked, wanting to face the grownup fighters, mostly his dad and the others who know him.
"Absolutely out of the question. No." The registry man refused to let them fight in the adult round.
"Man, this stinks." Trunks hated this.
"Hey, can I sign up here? You're holding up the line." A girl asked, wanting to get her name to sign up as well.
"Huh, oh, sure." Trunks noticed the girl and let her up to the registry.
"My name is Miko Kubuta, 7-year-old." Miko revealed her name.
Miko is a girl with fair skin, pink-tinted cheeks and nose, black eyes and short straight blue-violet hair with magenta sheens. She wears a red martial art gi with cloths wrapping around her wrists and black shoes.
"Okay, and that's about it. You're the very last girl to sign up for the junior division." The registry man smiled at the little girl.
"Awesome! Being last means I'm going to be the best!" Miko felt excited.
"Yeah, sure, be happy about it." Trunks rolled his eyes.
But when Vegeta looks at this Miko girl, he started to feel something weird like he should know this little girl even though this is literally the first time meeting her in this tournament, yet they somehow share a connection that he can't put his finger on it. Like there's a mystery airing between him and Miko, something he never thought would be possible until now.
"Are you okay, Vegeta? You look like you're spacing out." One man in an orange gi asked his rival.
"It's nothing. Just forget about it, Kakarot." Vegeta brushed off the question, not wanting to answer something that he doesn't really understand.
"Okay, if you say so." Kakarot said.
Kakarot, also going by his earth name Son Goku, is a tall muscular man with jet black hair that have 5 front spikes and 4 back spikes, and dark eyes. He wears an orange martial gi with a little black symbol on the left side, blue boots, blue wristband and belt.
"(This girl. Just who is she?)" Vegeta thought wondered about this Miko girl that is making him draw towards her.
Later, Trunks and Goten go into the corner where all the other kids who signed up for the junior division are waiting for them to be called out to begin their fight.
"After a hiatus of many years, the World Martial Art Tournament is about to begin anew!" The WMAT Announcer said, getting the crowd to cheer really loudly.
"First up, the Junior Division with fighters 15 years of age and younger. Even though the fighters are small, the prizes are huge! 10 million zeni to the winner and 5 million to the runner up." The WMAT Announcer mentioned.
"And on top of the prize money, the first-place junior will be granted a sparing match with an opponent I can say with confidence is near and dear to all of us!" The WMAT Announcer said.
"Put your hands together for our reigning champion and savior, Mr. Satan!" The WMAT Announcer said his name out loud.
Steam came out at the entrance of the gate and the man known as Mr. Satan jumped out with a shouting smile.
"(I never get tired of this!)" Satan thought smirked, always loving the crowd going crazy for him whenever his name is mentioned.
Hercule Satan is a tall man of a rather muscular and hairy physique with black curly Afro, mustache, and well-trimmed sideburns as well as cleft chin. He wears a martial art gi consisting of a brown top and white pants, black shoes and a white cape.
Mr. Satan runs over to the fighting stage and jumps over the announcer to make his grand entrance, but he ended up slipping on the landing and hit the back of his head on the ground.
(With Miko)
"Oh no…" Miko sighed.
"What's wrong? You were excited about competing back at the sign up." Goten asked, wondering why this Miko girl is suddenly feeling sad.
"I just had a feeling that I missed something funny and a laughing moment." Miko answered.
"You're so weird." Trunks commented, but he didn't think of it as a bad thing about this girl for some reason.
"(Weird, the more I look at this girl, the more I'm getting this weird feeling that we're connected somehow which shouldn't be possible.)" Trunks thought wondered why he is feeling this way to a girl he just met.
"Hey, thanks for letting me sit next to you guys." Miko thanked them.
"Uh, no need to thank us. We just didn't see a reason to shoo you away." Trunks said.
"So, is this your first time entering?" Goten asked.
"Yeah, I was kind of hoping that I would get to come here with my family and they watch me fight and maybe win, but… but they're not with me anymore." Miko felt really sad, hugging her legs with the hurting feelings coming in.
"Huh, why not? Are they busy or something?" Goten tilted his head in confusion.
But Miko didn't answer and she became a little sadder, this got Trunks to realize that it's something really hard that she doesn't want to talk about and knocks Goten on the head.
"Ow! What was that for?" Goten asked.
"Because you asked a stupid question." Trunks glared at his friend.
"Oh, I haven't introduced myself. My name is Miko." Miko shared her name with them.
"Yeah, we already know back at the sign up. My name is Trunks Brief." Trunks introduced himself to the new girl.
"And my name is Son Goten!" Goten revealed his name too.
"So, if you won the prize money, then what are you gonna do with it?" Trunks asked Miko, changing the subject for her sake. Seeing a girl sad like that rubs him the wrong way for some reason.
"Well, I have thought of getting myself a new house with food and clothes, of course. But the most important things I'm gonna have at my new house are games!" Miko answered with an excited smile.
"Games?" Trunks was curious, same as Goten.
"Yup, video games and I'm not talking about a two of three games but I'm talking about a LOT of games! Ones for the console, and others as the whole arcade games like the ones you see at an arcade, everywhere I go will be video games for me to play whenever I want grinding up the highest scores!" Miko explained about her game house filled with video games.
"Wow, that actually sounds like a lot of fun!" Goten was amazed by this girl's idea of a fun house.
"Sounds more like something a kid would want, but it does sound fun. Mind if we play some of your games when we come over?" Trunks asked.
"You mean, hang out like… friends?" Miko asked with her eyes widen.
"Are you saying we're friends now?" Miko asked Trunks closer.
"Huh, yeah, I guess we are." Trunks answered, feeling a little nervous about this kid.
"(No way, I actually have friends. Real friends!)" Miko thought gasped in shock.
Ever since the accident five months ago, Miko never interacted with anyone because of how her life was taken away and she never thought about even making even friends her age because of what happened back then, but now this moment might feel like her life just changed forever.
And it's all because of meeting those two boys.
"YAY!" Miko screamed cheerfully, surprising the boys.
"I have two friends!" Miko pulled the boys in each arm and started jumping around in joy with happy laughter.
"Yeah, we're friends!" Goten laughed happily too, glad to have actually made a new friend outside of Trunks and believing that this could be funnier for him.
"H-H-Hey, easy with the hugging and the jumping! Are you trying to make me puUUUUUUK!" Trunks was surprised when Miko made a high jump that they almost touch the ceiling.
"(Huh, that's weird… I'm feeling some energy coming off from this girl. More than any of the other kids here.)" Trunks thought felt some energy from Miko.
"Oh man, I can't wait for us to do fun things after the tournament!" Miko smiled as they landed.
"Just for that, you guys are free to play some of my games at my future house anytime you want." Miko decided.
"Really? Thanks!" Goten thanked her.
"You don't need to do that; I already have a lot of things at my house." Trunks said, which confuses Miko a bit.
"Yeah, Trunks' family is super rich, and he has lots of toys and games to play with." Goten explained a bit.
"No way, you're that rich! You must be one lucky kid!" Miko was surprised to hear about her new friend.
"Yeah, it's because my mom is pretty awesome at what she does." Trunks bragged a little with a smile.
"Hey! Would you three get off of him now!" Two older kids demanded in anger.
This confused the trio as they blinked a few times until they finally look down at their feet to discover that they accidentally landed on top of another older kid, and he looks like he's in pain.
"Oh, sorry about that." They apologized at the same time and quickly getting off from the guy.
"You… little… idiots." The older blonde guy was angered as he looks up at the younger kids.
"We hardly felt anything that could be a head. Guess that means you're a big soft marshmallow." Trunks insulted, this only made the older blonde kid angrier.
"You listen here, you little stupid heads! When the Junior Division start, I am going to wipe the floor with all of your faces and it's going to hurt so much that your mommies won't be able to recognize you then bury you six feet under!" The older blonde kid threatened in rage.
"Oh, sounds scary. I like to see you try." Trunks smirked, not being intimidated by this loser at all.
"Does Trunks know this guy?" Miko asked Goten.
"I don't think so." Goten said.
(Unknown Location)
"Damn it! This is bullshit!" One man shouted in rage, throwing things off from his desk.
"I can't believe we can't find one stupid little girl in the past five months since we lost her in that explosion!" The man gritted his teeth. How could he let something so precious and powerful slip through his fingers.
"Magenta Ribon, our men have been searching for that girl through the world as much as they can, but we still can't find her. She's bee avoiding our search for quite a long time, and I'm afraid she'll continue to do so." The second-in-command said.
"If only that monster brat didn't cause that explosion five months ago, we would have our own powerful soldier right now! We even had security measures to secure her, didn't we, Carmine?" Magenta asked.
Magenta Ribon is a very short man with slicked back hair and a moustache. He wears a magenta-colored suit with a black undershirt and also wears a gold chain.
"Yes, we did. But she was even more powerful than we expected." Carmine nodded.
Carmine is a tall man with his overly tall height, obnoxiously large pompadour, glasses, and red suit.
"Sir, at this point, finding the girl won't do us any good if we can't do any of our other businesses. For now, I believe we should let the girl go for a while." Carmine suggested, thinking this girl is too good at hiding.
"Fine, but I still want drones to any areas we haven't search yet and if she is spotted, I want to be informed about it immediately. Do I make myself clear?" Magenta ordered.
"Right away, sir." Carmine nodded before going to his phone to inform the tech team to keep the drones out on the search.
"I swear, you're going to regret avoiding me all this time because I'm going to make things even harder for you than what I did to your family." Magenta promised in anger before taking a cigarette in his mouth and lighting it up.
