Chapter Text
Mikaela had been feeling weakened for several days after many battles against the remaining vampires in the world. Even when he, Yū-chan, and his new family fought against those rebellious vampires to bring a better future to this world, every time they seemed to beat a hundred, thousands appeared the next day. And no matter how many times Yū-chan demanded that he drink blood, he couldn’t do it without feeling regretful. Not in front of Yū-chan and those humans that he was gradually considering calling family.
But then the incredible happened. The unthinkable. The unimaginable... The strangest thing that could have happened to him.
No one had told him that having sex with a demon would result in a pregnancy! Even being a man, even being a vampire, Mikaela was pregnant. And not only did he have a little monster in his belly. They were twins!
How the hell did this happen?
Mikaela wanted explanations, answers, any information that could help him handle this situation without having to kill Yū-chan who certainly joked about this. Why the hell he doesn’t get more serious about this? He was bearing their children! Why did Krul have to die and never tell him that? No, wait, apparently she wanted to talk about sex as a good mother, and he, like a good son, decided to run away.
Fine. He accepted it. The fault is of both.
And Mikaela could gradually accept the fact of having two small babies inside, a strange combination between vampire and demon. A strange and rare combination that anyone would want to have in their hands.
No.
No! He wouldn’t allow his children to become laboratory rats, as they did with his entire family. His children would know a splendid future, living away from all corruption, the future that he and Yū-chan had always dreamed of. Their children would be happy, without fear of losing their parents, without fear of losing someone who was important to them.
Human, Vampire or Demon. None of them would put a finger on their children to harm them.
Mikaela opened his eyes, waking from his long daydream, among the fallen buildings of the big city could be seen the sunrise, and see the five people sleeping around the campfire while one person slept on him. The blond vampire caressed Yū-chan’s black hair. It was the custom that every night Yū-chan slept with an ear on Mika’s stomach, only to verify that their children were well. Other times Yū-chan slept on Mika’s chest or simply taking him by the wrist, but he was sure that none of them would disappear like the wind the next day.
What would their children be like? Would they be boys, girls or both? Would they have blond or black hair? Would his eyes be green, blue or red? Would they be silent or impulsive like them? Although it was still too early to know what his twins were like, Mikaela was sure of something.
They’re his family. As is Yū-chan and all these humans.
They’re his blood.
