Ramen came into Limes and Mango's shared voidspace. Most of the time it was grey, as that was the color that made both of them visible. However this time he was greeted by an orange glow, that was the first sign that they knew something was wrong. The second sign was the overwhelming amount of heat that blasted in their face.
When they looked around she saw that the whole place had lit up, fire roaring higher than they could stretch themself. And being a snake void that means that he could stretch the highest of all voids, it was something that Ramen was rather proud of.
The first thing that they thought of was: ‘how did this happen?’, his second thought was: ‘Are Lime and Mango okay?!’. They quickly navigated the fire and came upon the weirdest scene ever.
Lime was standing on a giant pillar of stone and void fabric, while Mango was running around the place pouring gasoline all over the place. When looking for an explanation they saw a guy with a lot of wings and eyes sitting in a chair, tied up while Mango was slowly coming closer with the can of gasoline.
The wing guy, Ramen decided to call them that, was shaking with fear. All their eyes were focused on Mango, probably hoping that Mango won’t pour any gasoline over them. Except Ramen knew that if Mango, if she got the chance, would totally set fire to everyone and anything that they could get her hands on.
“What is going on here?”
Ramen was pretty proud of themself of their scolding voice, as it truly made everyone stop doing whatever they were doing before. Lime was the first one to snap out of the trance that everyone seemed to be stuck in and jumped down from his tower, landing before Ramen.
“Well, this guy decided it was a good idea to come into our home and start wrecking our carefully built walls and towers. So we tied him up and tried to scare him into listening to us.”
Ramen looked around, seeing the fire roaring around them all. Mango now running around for some reason, confused on why fire was following her even though she was still pouring gasoline on the floor. And the wing guy, tied up in the chair, even more confused than Ramen felt.
“You decided that setting your whole void space on fire was the best idea? Before you answer, no it isn’t. Fire isn’t always the question, sometimes it is but not now”
They saw Lime deflate, as he loved to use fire as a solution and they patted him on the head with their tail, quickly removing it as Lime tried to bite it.
“So is anyone going to tell me what is happening and where I am?”
Ramen looked at the guy still tied up to the chair, they knew that they looked pretty intimidating. And it showed as the guy tired too backed off, but they were still tied to the chair. As they came closer the guy visibly gulped.
Suddenly a cat popped up and casually walked over to the four people, it was red with black stripes. As it came closer it just nodded its head and exploded, the fire roaring to life even more and the blast destroying the tower that Lime was just standing on.
“Well that was something, didn’t know that it would pop up now”
Mango finally seemed to have shaken off the fire, or in other words figured out that they had the gasoline can in her hands. Now she commented on the mostly normal, for the voids, cat. It had the habit of just randomly popping up.
“What was that”
The poor chair guy, he was so confused about everything that was happening to them, Ramen almost felt bad for him. Except they also broke into the void space of Mango and Lime and prompted them to set the whole place on fire, so Ramen didn’t feel bad for them
“Look I just wanted to watch you plane, as it is something that I’ve never seen before. And now I’m stuck here because these imbeciles managed to tie me down to this chair. Now please just let me go and I wo-”
Before they could finish their sentence Lime hit them hard with a bat, everyone could see the thing that you could vaguely call a head snap to the side. And everyone could hear the snap of a neck that was too close to being broken.
“If you dare to say a bad word about me or my sister ever again I will beat you up until you can’t even see anymore. And I know you have a hundred eyes or whatever but I Do Not Care.”
Ramen secretly felt proud for Lime standing up for himself, he did not say it out loud because there was still fire going around them. Although that was also getting less by the minute, as the fuel was slowly burning up.
Walking towards the eye guy, Ramen freed them from their bindings to the chair. But immediately after they wrapped their tail around most of the wings, holding the creature captive in a different way.
“I’m going to let you go, without any consequences, but if you dare to step into this or any other void spaces ever again. I’m going to tear you apart and pluck out all of your eyes one by one. Understood?”
They saw the guy nod frantically, he seemed really scared for some reason. Yes, Ramen could threaten anyone pretty good, but following the promise? That was something that rarely happened. Everyone knew that, even Nut even though they didn’t hang out very often.
After a few more tense seconds, they let the guy go, immediately they were cast in a bright purple light that was even brighter than the fire around them. Hundreds of wings and eyes popped out and in a flash of even brighter purple light they disappeared.
After a few silent seconds, Ramen turned to Lime and Mango. The last one was currently trying to slowly turn the void white to disappear. Ramen looked stern at her and she immediately stopped grabbing control over the void.
“I’m proud of you two for not setting the weird guy on fire, yet disappointed that you set everything else on fire.”
Both Lime and Mango had the decency of looking at least a bit guilty, yet Ramen knew that that could very well be an act in the way that Lime had been standing on top of the pillar just a few moments ago.
Again the red and black cat popped up, but this time, before it could explode, Lime managed to catch it. As he started petting it, the cat slowly disappeared without leaving a complete mess and Ramen let out an unconscious sigh of relive.
“We really should do something about this cat.”
Both Lime and Mango nodded, agreeing with Ramen on the mysterious cat that sometimes just popped up in their lives.
