Chapter Text
Alexsandr Kallus considered himself a well-rounded man. He was educated, a skilled fighter, and had seen much of the galaxy in his time. Thus, when something new or different happened in his life, he was usually able to comprehend it. Usually.
Alas, the situation at play rather baffled Alex. He could neither understand it, nor come up with a way to move forward. Not after he had tried to do so already, and with lackluster results. This was truly getting out of hand.
So, in order to deal with his problem, Kallus needed to ask for advice. Relying on others was still somewhat difficult for him, but he was out of options. It was finally time to walk across base to the Ghost. To Hera.
Ascending the ramp into the ship, Alex called out to his acquaintance. “Hera? Are you in here?”
“Kallus?” Came a muffled voice from nearby. “Mind passing me my wrench?”
Kallus looked around the cargo bay, finding Hera bent half way into the wall. He picked up the wrench that was lying behind her and carefully passed it through the hole. “This one?”
“Yep. Thanks.” The Twi’lek confirmed as she accepted the tool. “I’ll be with you in a minute.” She added, though Alex felt a little bad for bothering her during repairs.
Before he could find somewhere to sit though, Hera had already emerged from the wall. She screwed the cover panel back on, then turned to Kallus with a smile. “So, what do you need?” She asked.
Yes, what did he need? It was with this line of questioning that Alex realized how absurd this conversation was going to be. Still, he had no other choice. “I… I have a problem.” He eventually admitted. “A strange one.”
“A strange problem?” Hera questioned as she removed her dirty gloves. “It’s not like you to ask for help. Must be serious.”
“It is.” Kallus confirmed. “I… May we take this discussion inside?” He then requested, gesturing to the inner doorway. The less people privy to his situation, the better.
Hera shrugged and turned on her heels. “Sure. Come on through.” She said casually.
And with that, Alex followed the pilot further into her ship. Would Hera be able to help solve his predicament? He very much hoped so.
