Rex… had never gotten an extended leave before. What was he even supposed to do on leave without the rest of the 501st? Kenobi was on leave too, and Skywalker and Ahsoka had just been allowed off leave after two weeks.
Two weeks was already longer than Rex had stayed away from work, and now he was learning that he was supposed to sit around and do nothing for even longer. His only comfort was that he was finally released from medical.
He wished Zygerria hadn’t happened to any of them.
“Rex!” Cody called, “I need you to do me a favor.”
A favor. Good. That meant work. Stars know Rex needed something to keep him busy.
“The 212th is shipping out with the 501st, so I’m not going to be here to make sure General Kenobi gets some rest,” Cody explained, “Can you make sure he takes it easy?”
“Yes! I can do that,” Rex was just relieved that Cody trusted him to take care of himself, let alone Kenobi.
“Great, I’ll see you in a few weeks, Vod’ika,” Cody said as he rushed off.
As Rex began to figure out how exactly he could keep Kenobi from over exerting himself, Cody ran to Kenobi himself.
“General Kenobi, sir,” Cody began, “Can I ask you for a favor?”
