“In that rain? Not even the rangers were out! It was insane enough of you to go out at all, I don’t believe anyone else would be that stupid.”
“No, I’m telling you, there was this woman with pink hair. She gestured at me to turn around, so I paused. Then that old wooden bridge collapsed right in front of me due to the water pooling on it!”
“So I’m supposed to believe someone just warned you about that for no reason? Did you at least ask her how she supposedly knew this?”
“No, that’s the thing, see, when I looked up again, she was already gone…”
“Yeah, no, I think the cold just made you see things…”
Young Woman Gone Missing in Firgrove Woods
FIRGROVE – October 10th, XXXX
Firgrove Village police asks people to be on the lookout for Elaina Hawkwatcher, a 20 year old woman from Firgrove Village who went missing sometime between 8-9 October. She was last seen in the Firgrove Woods area, where she was reportedly hiking. It is unknown in which direction she walked, but she would be familiar with the Firgrove area. Elaina is short, white, and can be recognized by her light pink hair. She was last seen wearing a brown coat over a yellow sweater, and brown pants.

“Wait, really?”
“Yeah, I just got this really weird feeling. And then I saw her.”
“Her?”
“You know, the pink-haired girl.”
“From the stories? The one that warns people?”
“Yeah, I mean, she must be, right? Otherwise I would have seen her coming. She walked with me and Darkmask for a while, though she was walking through the forest instead of on the road, then was gone once I reached the more well-lit part.”
Search for Missing Elaina Hawkwatcher Continues
FIRGROVE – October 19th, XXXX
The search for Elaina Hawkwatcher, the missing woman from Firgrove Village, has continued in full force. While the police has sent out search parties and sniffer dogs, search parties of volunteers have also been looking through Firgrove Woods for any trace of her, with no luck so far. As the search goes on, hope of finding her alive seems to slowly diminish in the town, but the volunteers are still determined to find her and bring the family closure.

“It’s just… I heard something weird today.”
“Well, what was it? You can’t just say that and then not tell me what it is!”
“It’s probably nothing, but it’s… I thought I heard a scream in the woods today. And not the kind of scream that’s actually just a weird bird call, but a real scream.”
“…It was probably just a fox, you know how similar they can sound to humans…”
“Yeah. Yeah. It was probably a fox. It has to be, right?”
Police Search Efforts for Elaina Hawkwatcher Come to an End, Presumed Dead
FIRGROVE – October 31st, XXXX
Firgrove Village Police has called off their active search for Elaina Hawkwatcher, to the disappointment and anger of many of the villagers. A statement from the police states that they presume her to be dead, with the cause likely being a wild animal attack. They have refused to answer anymore questions at this time. While the police has stopped their search, the volunteer groups are still determined to bring her home, and will continue their efforts.
