“Hunter, can you come here for a moment?” Hunter jumped out of his bed when he heard Belos call out for him, he was hoping that he was being called over for a new mission so he could prove himself after failing his last one.
He had recently gotten off a mission he was sent on to find palisman for Belos, but there was a whole bunch of stuff that happened with that human girl, Luz, and Kikimora that he ended up letting all the Palisman go in the end.
After all that for some reason, that half witted little red bird that was following the human around was now following him around for some stupid reason, i mean why would he need a palisman? He already has the staff that emperor Belos had given him! Not to mention that if Emperor Belos discovered the little guy then he would be basically digging his own grave.
Hunter rushed over to where Belos was and the second he spotted his uncle, he bowed down.
“I came as quickly as possible Emperor, what is it? Do you have a new mission for me?” Hunter said, trying for a moment to keep his emotions in check, but couldn’t avoid the gleam of hope sparkling in his eyes with the excitement to prove himself after his previous incident.
“Actually Hunter, yes I do, you see there have apparently been numerous sightings of a second human in the Demon Realm,” Belos said holding up a wanted poster of a young boy who looked to be around Hunter’s age, he had pitch black hair with a blue highlight in it, light blue eyes, and was wearing large goggles atop his head.
“I need you to find and capture him before the human does.” Belos said with his golden mask gleaming in the dim lighting of his throne room as the cold dead eyes behind it stared down Hunter menacingly.
Hunter looked at his uncle and frowned while tilting his head at a slight angle, “What does the human have to do with this?”
“Well, Hunter, if she gets to the other human first, she may attempt to persuade him into helping her with her plans to end my reign as emperor, and you wouldn’t want that to happen, would you Hunter?”
“No, of course not Emperor! I’ll go and find this other human right away and make sure they stay away from her,” Hunter said pleading with his uncle for this new chance, a way for him to make up for his previous failure.
“Good, now go, oh and Hunter.. don’t fail me this time..” he said staring down at Hunter causing his galder stone rate to spike up in fear.
“Yes Uncle..” Hunter said finally getting up from his kneeling position and walking slowly walking out of Belos’s throne room, but not before Belos quietly spoke one more word.
“Good..” Belos stared at Hunter as he tensely walked away.
Varian was so confused, he was working to help the princess decode the incantation and when he ran over to his lab station, he tripped over Ruddiger and passed out after seeing he was bleeding, and now he was here!?
The weird thing about this place is that most people were these terrifying monsters, apparently they called themselves witches, there was no way witches were real, right? Yes, he had witnessed magic performed by the sundrop before, but a whole dimension filled with magical creatures… well it felt impossible!
It was weird though because he was actually curious about what their deal was, he hadn’t spoken to any of them but he noticed them giving him strange looks.
He has no idea if it was safe for him to be here or not, and how the hell he would get back home.
But he had devised a perfect strategy to blend in, he noticed that the witches would only give him weird looks when they saw his ears, so all he would have to do to blend in was cover his ears! It was pretty uncomfortable to have the tight straps of his goggles wrapped around his ears, but he still didn’t know enough about this place to know how they would fully react to him being a human, so he had to act logically.
He needed to get back to Corona and fast, so he awkwardly walked over to a witch in hopes of getting an answer on how to leave.
The witch he walked up to was a witch-girl who looked to be a couple of years younger than him but was also a couple inches taller than him, she had green eyes and glasses and a very dark shade of blue hair. He very lightly and awkwardly tapped her on the shoulder.
He watched as she turned around upon feeling the light tap, “Um, hi, do you need something?”
“Sorry to bother you but uh do you know if there’s any ways to cross travel dimensions or anything like that?” Varian questioned hoping that what he was saying made sense to her, witches travel across dimensions, right? If they do magic then it would make sense that they’d be able to do that..
“Why do you want to know? Are you one of the Emperor's Coven Scouts?” She said squinting her eyes in suspicion causing Varian to start panicking.
“I- I- um-“ Varian started sweating, how could he respond to that, he didn’t even know who the Emperor was or that he had Scouts, was she referring to King Fredrick, or was it some sort of code language to say human?
“Just kidding, I can tell by your outfit that you aren’t one of them, you're way too fashionable to be a coven scout,” she giggling slightly clearly amused at his panicked and confused face.
“And to answer your question I don’t know exactly how to cross dimension travel, but I have a friend who’s trying to figure out how to enter the human realm, maybe you’d like to help her out?“ the witch-girl said, smiling politely, he could trust her, right?
“Yes! Yes, actually that sounds amazing!” Varian said basically jumping up in excitement, though he was curious who this friend of hers was.
Just then a loud screeching sound came from close by causing Varian to press his hands against the straps of the goggles covering his ears.
“Oh sorry I need to get to class so I’ll just tell you my Penstagram name really quickly,” she said, running off but not before turning around while still running and calling out to him, “It’s Hello_Willow, ok?! Try to message me later!“
“Wait what’s a…” Varian said trailing off before she ran away as he realized she was too far to hear him ”..Penstagram…“
Varian sighed, he had no knowledge of what this “Penstagram“ was and no idea on how to contact that girl, he didn’t even get her name.
“I could just stay here until she gets out of.. wherever she just went, but who knows how long that could be..” Varian thought to himself while staring at the direction the witch-girl went into.
Just then he heard a loud annoying voice call out to him, he turned around to see a boy around his age, he was wearing a white and golden mask that was covering his face, and a white cloak and hood, Varian couldn’t even see his eyes underneath the mask.
“There you are!” the masked boy called out to Varian, “New human, you’re coming with me! Emperor's orders..”
