Much Like a Bubble

Summary:

Bubbles are such fun and interesting parts of life, much like a a friendship.

However, no matter what, they will pop into oblivion...

Day 6 of Digitaltober: Bubbles

Work Text:

Bubbles are a rather interesting phenomenon. They are orbs that are commonly transparent, ranging from the cleanest being the most transparent, to the dirtiest, being the least transparent.

The cleanest bubbles often come from soap, a clean substance that pretty much everyone wants to be around.

Much like how a friendly, pure jester comes from a harmless background; a tidy-looking house.

The dirtiest bubbles, however, come from the mud, a dirty substance that pretty much no one wants to be around.

Much like how a rude, immoral rabbit comes from a dangerous background; the streets, sometimes hiding inside of abandoned buildings.

There is a middle ground, however, known as bubbles that come from water. Much like how frogs come from the swamp.

Soap bubbles are able to go to all sorts of places, while mud bubbles don't have anywhere to go; tethered to the source that they came from, inevitably popping into nothingness.

Water bubbles are also stuck to the surface of their liquid like mud, but they can be produced into soap to make satisfied soap bubbles, or they can be left to turn into miserable mud bubbles.

Whatever the case may be...

They'll all eventually pop...

--

The life cycle of a bubble is short and simple.

They become created, they float up, and up, and up, whether it's up in the air, or to the surface of whatever substance, but they can only float so high.

Until they are eventually popped out of existence, only leaving behind the fragments of what they once were.

The smaller the bubble, the easier it is to survive.

Much like how a certain rabbit thinks that the less complex that he is,

The easier it is for him to keep his sanity intact in this world...

That makes people pop...

--

Two bubbles can form together and create a bigger bubble.

Much like a certain jester and a certain rabbit, once being two smaller parts that were nothing but just each other, into one big whole.

Holding their hands, and twirling around, combining their individual selves to one another, while also strengthening their bond.

With the bubble being bigger, its spherical coat now contains so many more attributes that intertwine one another, creating something that neither individual could create by themselves.

Much like that certain jester being able to confidently shoot a gun, and like that certain rabbit, apologizing for accidentally hurting someone.

It's already hard enough to float so high up as a regular bubble, but the bigger the bubble...

The easier it is to pop...

--

Some bubbles separate themselves from another, but never back to their truly original form, their contents still intertwined with each other.

Much like how a certain rabbit attempted to separate himself from his new jester friend, thinking that he will return back to his simple, cheery self.

But what he doesn't know...

Is that bubbles, no matter how big, or small...

Will all eventually pop...
