Hiccups

Summary:

Kiwi Tiki Wiki drinks her Sunken Treasure Tea too quickly and gets the hiccups, so Mango attempts to cure them. (#ULFW13)

Notes:

Inspired by the Peppa Pig episode of the same name which released on June 11, 2004. Hiccups sure can be annoying when you get them! At least Mango was able to scare Kiwi's away here! This sure was a fun one to put together, and was a crazy ride! Also had to add an extra paragraph at the end because the original video didn't have enough lines to make the 1,000 word mark.

Enjoy this fun little Lalaloopsy adventure I put together!

Work Text:

The camera zoomed into the window of Mango Tiki Wiki's island house, where Laura, Chloe, Mango Tiki Wiki and Kiwi Tiki Wiki were eating bowls of Tropical Charms cereal, the same stuff first introduced in Papa's Freezeria. "Mango, Kiwi, Laura, and Chloe are having breakfast. It is a lovely sunny day, and Mango and Kiwi can't wait to go into the green field to play," I narrated. "Chloe, please, can we go out to play?" Mango asked. "You can go out to play when you finish your breakfast," Chloe answered. Mango went ahead and ate up fast as a result, and also drank up her Sunken Treasure Tea fast too, since Pirate Bash was in two days after all. Kiwi did just the same, eating up her Tropical Charms fast then gulping down her Sunken Treasure Tea. "Kiwi, don't drink your tea too quickly," Laura said.

Because Kiwi drank her Sunken Treasure Tea too quickly, she got the hiccups, and Mango couldn't help but giggle a bit. "Kiwi drank her Sunken Treasure Tea too quickly and now she has hiccups," I narrated. Kiwi hiccuped again, as Chloe and Laura giggled at that. "Can we go out to play now, Chloe?" Mango asked. "Not while Kiwi has hiccups," Chloe answered. "But Kiwi's hiccups are gone. Haven't they, Kiwi?" Mango asked. "Yes, they are gone, for now," Kiwi answered, as she then hiccuped again right after saying that, prompting Laura and Chloe to giggle again at the hiccups. "All right, you can go out and play, but look after your little sister," Chloe told Mango. Mango and Kiwi giggled and headed outside to the green field to play, as Mango brought her ball over.

"Mango and Kiwi love playing in the field," I narrated. "Kiwi, I'm gonna throw the ball, and you have to catch it," Mango said. Kiwi hiccuped again. "Kiwi, little sis, please stop hiccuping," Mango said. Mango threw the ball to Kiwi, but Kiwi ended up dropping it due to her hiccup. "Kiwi! Now you throw the ball to me, and I have to catch it," Mango said. Kiwi's hiccup ended up making her throw the ball way up high, it ended up landing on Mango's head. "Oh dear, Kiwi's hiccups are spoiling the game," I narrated. Mango noticed Kiwi's hiccups, and got an idea. "Kiwi, I know how to cure hiccups," Mango said. "What's that?" Kiwi asked. "You have to do what I say," Mango answered. Kiwi hiccuped again, as Mango giggled at that. "Rub the top of your head and rub your tummy," Mango said, as Kiwi started doing just that. "Good, now your hiccups have gone!" Mango said.

But that didn't work, as Kiwi went back to hiccuping again. "Mango's cure for hiccups doesn't seem to have worked," I narrated. "That didn't seem to work. Kiwi, I know a better way to cure hiccups! First, jump up and down three times on one leg!" Mango said, as she showed how it's done, and Kiwi went ahead and did that. "Next, wave your arms up and down, and stick your tongue out," Mango said, as she demonstrated how it's done. Kiwi did just that three times, blowing three raspberries in the process. "And now, close your eyes and turn around quickly three times," Mango said, as Kiwi closed her eyes and turned around three times. Kiwi ended up falling over after the twirling, and went back to hiccuping again, showing that this method did not work out either. "Mango's new cure didn't work out either. Kiwi still has hiccups," I narrated.

"I know! To cure hiccups, the Lalaloopsy must be given a scare!" Mango said. Mango got closer to Kiwi. "Kiwi, I'm going to scare you, but you must remember, it's only a game and it'll stop your hiccups," Mango said. "I got that," Kiwi said. "Remember, this is just pretend scaring," Mango said. "Yes, big sis," Kiwi said. Mango let out a big, loud burp, which startled and scared Kiwi for a bit. "You doing okay out there, Mango and Kiwi? And remember Kiwi is only little," Chloe asked as she approached the scene. "Yes, we're doing fine. I was trying to stop my little sister Kiwi's hiccups," Mango answered. Chloe picked up Kiwi, and then Kiwi noticed that her hiccups were gone. "Kiwi's hiccups are gone," I narrated, as Kiwi smiled at Chloe.

Laura walked back into the scene, bringing in glasses of Sunken Treasure Tea straight from the Pancakeria. "Here comes Laura with two glasses of Sunken Treasure Tea," I narrated. Kiwi went ahead and drank the Sunken Treasure Tea fast. "Kiwi, if you drink too quickly, you will get hiccups again," Chloe told Kiwi. "I'm not as little as Kiwi. I can drink tea as quickly as I want to," Mango said, as she drank her Sunken Treasure Tea in one gulp. It was now Mango herself who has hiccups, as Kiwi giggled at her and even started rolling in the grass. Mango had the hiccups, and even Chloe and Laura were giggling at that and started rolling on the ground. Mango hiccuped, and even started rolling on the ground as well, and the four of them all shared their laugh together as Mango still hiccuped more.

Because Kiwi drank her Sunken Treasure Tea a little too fast, but didn't get the hiccups this time, she let out a big, loud burp, which successfully got rid of Mango's hiccups. "I... I think my hiccups are gone!" Mango said. "Great to hear, my friend! Looks like scaring hiccups away does help after all!" Laura said. "It helped Kiwi, and now it helped Mango!" Chloe said. "But I think we both know not to drink too quickly again, or else it'll start the hiccups! Unless we're lucky enough to let out a big burp!" Mango said. "Good thinking right there! Might be best to avoid drinking too fast!" Laura said. After their exchanges together, the four went back to rolling on the ground and laughing together, as this fun little episode about hiccups ends right here.
