Scene 01: KTX Train to Busan
♪ Bright, upbeat K-pop track with summer vibes ♪
The scene opens inside a KTX train car. There are rows of cushioned seats with blue fabric upholstery. Despite the morning light streaming through the windows, soft overhead lighting running along the ceiling panels casts its glow throughout the car.
Kitty sits next to a large tinted rectangular window, her bright yellow suitcase visible in the overhead rack above her.
She looks out with bright, expressive eyes at the green fields and farmland stretched to distant hills. She’s wearing a white tank top and a light blue skirt that shows her carefree warmth, as if she’s ready for her next summer adventure.
KITTY (Voice Only): It’s hard to believe that just last summer, I was feeling all alone in Portland. But this past year at KISS changed everything.
The view shifts as the train crosses the wide Nakdong River with wetlands stretching on both sides.
KITTY (Voice Only): I followed my mom’s story, found my family at KISS, found my actual family in Korea, and well… joined Min Ho on his family’s big summer tour. More than two months later, I’ve gotten to see so much of Korea – the country that’s become my second home.
The scene moves to fast cuts of Busan in the summer light:
- Haeundae Beach full of families sharing beach umbrellas
- The Gwangan Bridge spanning across blue waters
- Murals covering the walls of Huinnyeoul Culture Village
- Yongdusan Park with Busan Tower in the distance
- The busyness of Jagalchi Seafood Market
The camera returns to the train, which is now gliding into the covered platforms of Busan Station’s modern glass-and-steel structure.
Tourists are stopping everywhere, digital screens are flashing with advertisements, and staff in uniforms are pointing at the bright signs in Korean and English.
KITTY (Voice Only): Even though tour’s almost over and we’re approaching our final stop in Busan, I’m thinking this isn’t really an ending at all.
Kitty gets off the train and looks around at the station in wonder.
KITTY (Voice Only): It feels more like the beginning of something new.
The camera follows as Kitty moves through the station with her luggage. She passes several bakeries, small snack kiosks selling kimbap and walnut cakes, and the Busan Tourist Information Center where staff hands her a brochure.
Kitty slows as she approaches a row of brightly lit gachapon machines. These colorful rectangular boxes display poster cards of the prizes inside – miniature animals, keychains, and cartoon characters.
Just as she pulls her bright yellow suitcase to a stop in front of them, her phone buzzes with a text.
TEXT FROM LARA JEAN: How’s the last week of tour going??
TEXT FROM MARGOT: Any updates from Korea?
Kitty smiles and begins responding, her voice narrating the text as she types.
TEXT TO LARA JEAN AND MARGOT: Just arrived in Busan!
TEXT TO LARA JEAN AND MARGOT: Can’t believe summer is almost over.
TEXT TO LARA JEAN AND MARGOT: Miss you both so much. XO.
Just as she sends her final message, a familiar voice cuts through the station noise.
MIN HO: Covey!
Kitty turns immediately at the sound and sees Min Ho walking toward her through the crowd.
Soft chimes and a low whoosh begin to play as the moment seems suspended in time. Even in his casual summer clothes, Min Ho looks effortlessly refined in his patterned black tank top that shows off the muscles on his arms. The arms that have steadied her when she stumbled. That have pulled her into warmth when she needed comfort.
The moment her eyes meet his, he smiles – really smiles, not just politely – and Kitty’s heart begins to thump loudly in her ears. For a moment, it’s as if the hustle and bustle of the train station have disappeared.
MIN HO: (holding up a bag) Want some bungeoppang?
KITTY: (shaking herself out of it) The ones with the sweet red bean filling?
Min Ho stops in front of Kitty and pulls out a fish-shaped pastry from the bag.
MIN HO: (amused) As if you’d eat the other kind.
Kitty smiles and takes the pastry from Min Ho.
KITTY: Hm. You know me so well.
MIN HO: (teasing) I’ve only spent the last few months watching you post everything you’ve eaten on social media.
KITTY: (mock offended) Hey, don’t pretend like you didn’t willingly join me.
As Kitty takes a bite of her bungeoppang, she notices Min Ho glancing at the gachapon machines behind her.
MIN HO: (raising an eyebrow) You’re gambling with toys now?
Kitty looks at a gachapon machine with images of adorable chibi-style animals.
KITTY: (clearly lying) I was just going to get one for Q.
Min Ho shakes his head in amusement and begins feeding coins into the machine. He turns the crank until a capsule drops.
KITTY: (peering over) Which one did you get?
MIN HO: (opening the capsule) A tiny hedgehog wearing a hat.
Kitty instinctively reaches over to grab it from his hand but Min Ho pulls it back. Kitty’s face drops into mock offense immediately.
MIN HO: (smiling) I don’t recall giving you rights to my spoils.
KITTY: (teasing) And here I thought gifts were your love language.
Min Ho’s eyebrows raise slightly in surprise as Kitty quickly tries to cover up her comment.
KITTY: (flustered) I-I just mean like gift giving for people you care about. Not, like, LOVE.
Kitty chuckles nervously but Min Ho cautiously offers the hedgehog to her.
MIN HO: (with a polite smile) Here. I’m sure Q will appreciate it.
Kitty awkwardly reaches over to grab the figurine. Soft chimes play when their fingers brush, causing both of them to pause in flustered eye contact for a moment. It’s the kind of pause that’s become familiar yet still catches them off guard.
Suddenly, both their phones buzz. They both check their phones as a text bubble pops up on screen next to them:
TEXT FROM YOUNG MOON: Yacht party confirmed at 6PM! Need you and Kitty to manage press tonight.
Both raise their eyebrows at the same time. Just then, another familiar voice echoes across the station.
Q: Kitty! Min Ho!
Kitty and Min Ho synchronously whip their heads around and spot Q waving enthusiastically with Jin and Dae beside him. Behind them are Juliana, Praveena, and Madison, who are followed with some distance by Yuri and Mihee.
Kitty’s face immediately lights up at the sight of them.
KITTY: (bouncing) Oh my God, they’re here!
Without hesitation, Kitty takes off running toward them, forgetting her yellow suitcase behind by the gachapon machines. Min Ho watches her go with an amused smile, then grabs both their bags and follows at a more measured pace.
Q, who has also ditched his suitcase to run to Kitty, meets Kitty in the middle as they throw their arms around each other.
KITTY: (hugging him tightly) Q! I missed you so much!
Q: I missed you too, you binch.
Jin piles into the hug, squeezing both Q and Kitty. The three of them part with matching sympathetic pouts just as Min Ho reaches them. Jin’s pout disappears with comedic speed as he gives Min Ho a casual nod instead.
JIN: (recovering) ‘Sup.
This gesture spurs a chaotic yet joyful reunion with everyone exchanging hugs, handshakes, and lively chatter.
As Kitty breaks out of a warm hug with Dae, Kitty notices Yuri in the back and walks closer to her.
KITTY: (surprised) Yuri. I thought you weren’t coming.
YURI: I wasn’t going to. But if I stayed home, I’d have to listen to my mom bitch about my dad. Again.
As Kitty nods in understanding, Madison approaches with barely contained excitement.
MADISON: Busan vacation weekend, baby!
MIHEE: I am so ready to catch major vibes at the beach.
Madison squeals so loudly it almost deafens Kitty.
MADISON: LET’S MOVE IT, PEOPLE!
Everyone moves in amusement at Madison’s energy, grabbing their luggage and walking through the station with excited chatter.
Scene 02: Busan KTX Station
As the group walks past a large display showing Busan’s main attractions, Q falls into step beside Kitty.
Q: Ugh. I miss the dry heat in California. I’m melting here.
KITTY: Yeah, Korean summer is intense.
Q: It’s almost as intense as my track program.
KITTY: Oh. How was that, by the way?
Q: (excitedly) So much fun. (proudly) And Alex thinks I have a real shot at making the roster for a D1 school next year.
KITTY: What? Q, that’s incredible!
Q: I know! I still haven’t told my parents yet. (with a slight gasp) Speaking of telling people things… did you tell Min Ho yet?
Kitty shoots him a sharp look as she looks around urgently. The moment she’s sure no one else is paying attention, she turns back to Q.
KITTY: (whispering) No.
Q gives her a knowing, slightly exasperated look of disbelief.
Q: (quietly) How? You’ve been alone with him for months.
KITTY: No, I haven’t! We’ve been so busy with tour maintenance and press conferences and meet-and-greets. It’s impossible to get time alone when Mr. Moon’s whole tour brand is about “synergy”. We even rode with staff on the train ride here from Daegu. (groans) I swear all I’ve been doing the last few months is live and breathe this tour. (eyes widening) Like, we were supposed to finally have the evening off but then Mr. Moon texted us about handling the press for this yacht party he just (gesturing wildly) decided to throw tonight.
Suddenly, Madison wedges herself between Q and Kitty, looping one arm around each of them.
MADISON: (mischievously) What’s this about a yacht party?
Towards the front of the group, some distance away, Dae falls into step beside Min Ho.
MIN HO: (in Korean) Hey, you made it. How’s your dad?
DAE: (with a slight nod, in Korean) Mm. Fully recovered. So he doesn’t need me anymore. (after a pause, in English now) How was tour?
MIN HO: (with a scoff) Long. My dad keeps adding to a list of things to do.
DAE: (with a light chuckle) What? Entertainment management didn’t prepare you and Kitty?
MIN HO: (eyes widening) Nothing can prepare you for my dad’s photo ops. (shifting uncomfortably) He even had Joon Ho and I pose for a “favorite sons” calendar.
DAE: (knowingly) So Kitty got to be a part of the full family experience then.
Min Ho catches the tone in Dae’s voice and finds Dae looking back with slightly raised eyebrows. The response never comes, though, because Madison and Mihee swiftly rush over to them, interrupting this moment.
MADISON: (wedging herself between them) Min Ho! About this yacht party – please tell me there’s going to be karaoke.
Min Ho raises his eyebrows at Madison in confusion. Praveena and Juliana swiftly join them from behind.
PRAVEENA: (sing-songy) I heard someone say karaoke.
Everyone starts crowding around Min Ho with excited questions about the yacht party, leaving Q, Jin, and Kitty trailing behind the group.
JIN: (quietly) You know, this weekend could be perfect timing for you two.
KITTY: What do you mean?
JIN: Maybe Q and I can distract everyone so you could get a chance to talk to Min Ho?
Q: (with a nod) I mean, you can’t do this forever, right?
Kitty shoots them a pointed but resigned look. As Q and Jin walk away, Kitty looks at the group pensively.
KITTY (Voice Only): Q’s right. Summer’s almost over and I’ve just been making excuses. But if this really is the beginning of something new, then I should make it count.
Kitty takes a deep breath and squares her shoulders as a familiar smile spreads across her face. It’s the kind that means she’s about to do something that will probably cause chaos… but she’s going to do it anyway.

Scene 03: Gamcheon Culture Village
♪ Another bright, upbeat K-pop track with summer vibes ♪
The camera sweeps over the pastel houses of Gamcheon Culture Village cascading down the hillside like a colorful pop art painting. Narrow staircases wind between buildings while murals decorate almost every inch of wall that can be seen.

- The friend group walking past the Tourist Information Center
- Madison, Yuri, Mihee, and Dae taking group selfies at a glass fence
- Kitty, Juliana, Min Ho, Jin, Praveena, and Q taking group selfies next to a mural of BTS’s Jungkook and Jimin
At a small street vendor, they all grab snacks and colorful drinks in plastic bottles.
JULIANA: (taking a bite) Okay, this makes up for the humidity.
Q: (nodding in agreement) Korean street food does hit different.
Dae is taking a bite of his bungeoppang when Yuri catches up to him.
YURI: (in Korean) Kim Dae Heon.
Dae whips his head over to Yuri and shifts awkwardly.
DAE: (with his mouth full) Hey.
YURI: (in Korean) What’s this? I didn’t know you were into sweets like that.
Dae chuckles lightly as he swallows his bite.
DAE: (in Korean) Sometimes… How’s things? I haven’t seen you all summer.
YURI: (in Korean) Ah. It’s been crazy. My dad…
DAE: (concerned, in Korean) Is he being difficult?
YURI: (with a light chuckle, in Korean) He’s honestly not that different. He’s still just as angry all the time.
Yuri laughs it off awkwardly as her expression drops a little.
DAE: (in Korean) Sorry. Things are so weird with the lawsuit-
YURI: (in Korean) Hey, don’t be like that.
Dae nods politely, knowing there’s not much he can say about the way events have transpired. They walk in comfortable silence for a moment before Yuri speaks up again.
YURI: (in Korean) We’re going to see Eunice tonight.
DAE: Mm.
YURI: (in Korean) I still think it should’ve been you up there. If Stella hadn’t messed with your performance-
Just then, Juliana and Praveena burst into loud laughter over something on Praveena’s phone, which draws their attention. Dae looks swiftly back to Yuri, whose expression has closed off.
DAE: (with a polite smile, in Korean) Ah! There’s a spot up ahead for pictures.
YURI: (stiffly, in Korean) Mm. Let’s go.
Dae hesitates for a moment before falling into step beside Yuri – close enough to offer silent support, but far enough to respect the new dynamic between them.
Scene 04: Songdo Bay Station
The scene opens on the group entering the bright, airy lobby of Songdo Bay Station. Large glass windows stretch from floor to ceiling, offering sweeping views of Songdo Beach and the cable car line stretching across the bay.
Yuri and Mihee immediately gravitate toward a seasonal photo zone featuring miniature cable cars, while Madison and Praveena pose dramatically against the panoramic windows with the bay as their backdrop.
As the group begins making their way to the boarding area, Kitty and Min Ho have ended up trailing behind.
KITTY: You think your dad will care that we invited everyone to his super exclusive yacht party?
MIN HO: (nonchalantly) No, it’s fine. If anything, we could use the buffer.
KITTY: (with a slight smile) You mean like that time you asked me to order the stage equipment so we had an excuse to get away from your dad?
MIN HO: (amused) Covey, you volunteered because you wanted to practice your Korean, remember?
KITTY: (pointing knowingly) But my plan worked. Did it not? (smirking) Although the story about your childhood pet was really funny.
MIN HO: (shooting her a look) She was a menace! She chewed through my favorite loafers!
The group has arrived at the ticket agent, causing Kitty and Min Ho to stop in place.
KITTY: (teasing, leaning in closer) Hm. I’m sure you made me go get the light stick because you weren’t scared of the dog last week.
MIN HO: (leaning in too) That dog has trust issues.
KITTY: Right. That’s why you grabbed my hand when it started barking in-
Soft chimes play in the background as Kitty suddenly realizes how close they’ve gotten.
KITTY: (voice dropping) In Daegu.
A heartbeat thumps loudly in the background during this brief moment where they both remember something about that interaction differently than they’re saying. But Juliana’s voice quickly cuts through the tension.
JULIANA: What happened in Daegu?
Kitty and Min Ho turn to find Juliana standing there with a curious yet knowing look.
Kitty and Min Ho immediately respond at the same time:
KITTY and MIN HO: (clearing throats) Nothing.
Just then the voice of the ticket agent carries through the space.
CABLE CAR STAFF: (apologetic) Excuse me, everyone. I’m sorry, but the limit is eight people per car.
A small debate erupts as everyone starts talking at once:
DAE: Who wants to wait?
MADISON: I am not waiting. I want those photos ASAP.
Q catches Jin’s eye, who raises an eyebrow ever so slightly back at him.
JIN: Uh, two people will need to ride by themselves.
As the others continue their debate, Jin, Q, and Juliana all look over knowingly at Kitty and Min Ho, who are furthest towards the back.
JULIANA: (very loudly) Why don’t we let these two go behind? They’ve been attached at the hip all summer anyway.
Kitty and Min Ho both get visibly flustered and begin responding at the same time:
KITTY: Oh, no, we don’t have to do that-
MIN HO: That’s not really necessary-
Jin shoots Kitty a look of disgruntled disbelief. Meanwhile, Min Ho’s eyebrows raise as he gets an idea.
MIN HO: (to Juliana) Uh, why don’t you and Praveena stay behind instead?
CABLE CAR STAFF: You can also just split into two equal sized groups.
A silent beat passes before everyone begins speaking in chorus with some variation of:

GIRL 4: Oh, yeah. I read that they settled for 40 billion won.
GIRL 5: Hey, there’s no way she’s actually broke, right?
GIRL 3: Ah, you’re right. Her parents had that messy divorce. I bet her mom has all her dad’s money now.
GIRL 4: Then explain all the fashion brand sponsorships she’s been doing on her account recently.
Juliana, who was standing nearby taking photos with Praveena, overhears the strangers. Her expression shifts from casual enjoyment to concern as she notices Yuri’s posture stiffen slightly.
After a moment of hesitation, Juliana carefully approaches Yuri.
JULIANA: (softly) Hey, are you okay?
Yuri turns, and for a split second, her mask slips. Surprise and something resembling gratitude flickers across her face before she quickly composes herself.
YURI: Yeah. It’s nothing new. I’ve been hearing about it all summer anyway.
JULIANA: At least they’re predictable. Same story, different day.

Kitty is standing next to him with her clipboard, wearing a strapless sequined pink dress with a sweetheart neckline that catches the light from the sun with every movement. Kitty’s hair falls in loose waves around her shoulders.
They’re clearly managing the press flow when a voice cuts across the distance.
SUJIN: Look who finally made it to the VIP. Dad finally remembered you exist?
Kitty and Min Ho both turn to see three stylishly dressed girls walking towards them. In the center, Sujin wears a dramatic tiered ruffle dress with multiple layers that create a voluminous, princess-like skirt. Her two friends flanking her are equally styled – one with a blue-silver mini dress that hugs her figure and the other in a blue-silver dress with a looser, textured fit.
Sujin moves with the kind of confidence that naturally draws attention, with her friends clearly used to being part of her orbit.
MIN HO: Sujin? What are you doing here?
SUJIN: I have more reason to be here than you. Why are you even here? You hate these things.
MIN HO: I’m staff.
SUJIN: So I’ve heard. (to Kitty) You must be the shadow.
KITTY: (sheepishly) Hi, I’m Kitty.
SUJIN: (waving a hand) Pleasure. Dad’s been going on and on about his best Entertainment Management students. Very impressive, apparently.
PAPARAZZO 1: It’s Sujin! Sujin!
PAPARAZZO 2: I think that’s Min Ho next to her. Two of the Moon siblings!
PAPARAZZO 1: Sujin! Min Ho!
Multiple photographers start pushing closer with cameras flashing. Sujin immediately straightens her posture as she slips her arm through Min Ho’s.
SUJIN: Smile, little bro. Time to earn our allowances.
Min Ho tenses slightly but turns to the cameras with practiced ease. The both of them smile politely at the flashing lights. Behind them, Kitty looks on with confusion and interest.
After a few pictures, Min Ho and Sujin turn back to Kitty and the girls.
SUJIN: (to Kitty) So you’re still here after all this time. That’s either dedication or Stockholm syndrome. Blink twice if you need help.
Sujin’s friends giggle softly nearby.
MIN HO: Don’t you have somewhere else to be?
SUJIN: As a matter of fact, I do. (to her friends) Come on, girls. The cameras are waiting. (to Min Ho and Kitty) Would you mind?
Min Ho and Kitty both gesture professionally toward the step and repeat backdrop, directing the trio to the center for their photo session.
Sujin shoots a knowing look back at Kitty and Min Ho before turning to face the cameras with her entourage.
As the three girls pose and work the cameras, Kitty leans closer to Min Ho.
KITTY: So, that’s your sister?
MIN HO: Half-sister. From wife number one.
KITTY: So she and Joon Ho…
MIN HO: Don’t have the best relationship either. In the family, Sujin is known to make the most dramatic entrances. And even more dramatic exits.
KITTY: (nodding) Hm.
Over by the queue, Dae adjusts his new suit for the seventh time. Mihee walks up to him, eyeing him appraisingly.
MIHEE: Well, someone’s living their second hot boy summer.
DAE: (nervously) Did we really have to get in line for this? Couldn’t we just watch from back there with everyone else?
PRAVEENA: What’s the big deal, Dae? You’ve performed live on international television already.
DAE: (shifting uncomfortably) That’s… that’s different.
Dae adjusts his posture again, clearly still battling stage fright.
Q: You look great, Dae. The suit fits you.
Dae nods gratefully when, suddenly, the audience begins loudly exclaiming in the background.
PAPARAZZO 1: It’s Eunice Kang! Eunice, over here!
Several voices begin calling out for Eunice, who is flanked by two bodyguards escorting her past the waiting line. Eunice appears in a stunning pink dress, feeling completely in her element as she moves with natural charisma. Eunice is smiling and waving to the cameras when she spots the friend group in the queue.
EUNICE: Oh! You all came!
Eunice rushes over to them, momentarily forgetting the cameras. Mihee and Madison immediately rush over for an excited group hug. When they separate, Eunice spots Dae and walks over with a smile.
EUNICE: (in Korean) It’s been a while. You look cute.
DAE: (flustered, in Korean) Thanks. You look… pretty as always.
PAPARAZZO 2: Eunice! Over here!
EUNICE: (to the group) I’ll catch up with you all later, okay?
One of Eunice’s bodyguards gently touches her elbow, indicating it’s time to move. Kitty and Min Ho greet Eunice and gesture her toward the center of the step and repeat as camera flashes explode wildly around her.
JIN: (watching Eunice pose) Look at her. She’s a total natural.
MADISON: (proudly) I taught her that pose. Well… some of it.
Q: Wait, where’s Juliana?
Praveena looks like she’s about to respond, but Yuri jumps in first.
YURI: (shrugging) Juliana’s not really one for the tabloid circus. She avoids cameras when she can.
Q: Oh.
After Eunice finishes, it’s the friend group’s turn. Kitty and Min Ho wave them over to the backdrop.
At first, the photos are awkward, with Dae trying to figure out where to stand and Jin adjusting his collar. Then a paparazzo perks up.
PAPARAZZO 3: Wait a minute… that’s Dae Heon Kim! He was also in the Young Moon Talent Showcase. He’s the one who lost to Eunice!
PAPARAZZO 1: What’s he doing here?
Another photographer notices Yuri in the group.
PAPARAZZO 2: And that’s Yuri Han! Wait… didn’t she and Dae Heon Kim date?
PAPARAZZO 3: Oh yeah! They had that messy breakup where she threw a smoothie at him!
The friend group exchanges panicked, awkward looks as the press begins to go wild. Cameras flash rapidly and voices overlap with questions.
PAPARAZZO 1: His dad was named in the lawsuit against Han Hotel, right?
PAPARAZZO 2: Yeah. His dad was their long-time driver.
PAPARAZZO 3: (shouting loudly now) Dae! Was this all planned? Did you date her for the money?
PAPARAZZO 1: Why are you both here together?
Dae’s face goes pale while Yuri looks mortified. Kitty and Min Ho exchange panicked looks and quickly step forward.
KITTY: Alright, that’s enough photos for this group. Thank you! Thank you so much. Okay.
MIN HO: (firmly gesturing) Next group, please.
Kitty and Min Ho efficiently guide their friends away from the backdrop as the paparazzi continue shouting questions.
As the chaos settles, Kitty and Min Ho turn to each other with wide, astounded eyes, sharing a look of complete disbelief.
Scene 07: Side Street Near Gwangbok-ro
The group has ducked into a narrow side street lined with small boutiques and cafes. It’s far enough from the main Fashion Street to avoid lingering paparazzi but close enough to still hear the distant commotion.
They’re all clustered together near a trendy coffee shop when Juliana rounds the corner and approaches.
MIHEE: Well, that was fun.
JULIANA: Hey, I saw the whole thing. Everyone okay?
YURI: (sarcastically) Yeah. Nothing like being called a sugar mommy on camera.
MADISON: (knowingly) Oh, this is definitely making the gossip pages. Someone’s gonna make bank off this story.
An uncomfortable moment passes as Yuri and Praveena glance at Juliana, who just looks away.
Q: (to Dae) Dude, your face went completely white.
DAE: (with a heavy sigh) I mean… it’s complicated.
JULIANA: Just don’t say anything. Hopefully they’ll just move on to the next story fast.
Kitty and Min Ho approach the group, both looking slightly frazzled from coordinating logistics.
MIN HO: Uh, cars are here. We should get going.
KITTY: (cautiously) Everyone ready?
The group starts moving toward the street, following Kitty and Min Ho toward the waiting cars.
Just then, Q’s phone buzzes. He glances at it as a text bubble pops up on screen.
TEXT FROM MARIUS: Hey.
Q stops in place as he processes the name on the screen. Jin notices Q has stopped walking and turns back to him.
JIN: Q.
Q looks up and immediately puts his phone away. But he’s too late. Jin has noticed Q’s demeanor change.
JIN: Everything okay?
Q: Yeah. Just checking if Alex texted back about USC. (quickly) We should hurry up. Don’t want be left behind on land.
Jin smiles politely and nods as Q walks ahead of him. A flicker of concern crosses Jin’s face as he follows Q from behind.
Scene 08: Moon Family Yacht
The camera sweeps over an elegant 62-meter vessel as it sits anchored in Busan’s harbor. The yacht is a modern luxury with its multi-level deck spaces and expansive outdoor areas with light natural wood flooring. On the main deck, reclining lounge chairs draped with plush Moon Star branded towels sit near an open dining space.
The camera follows the group of friends as they board with widened eyes and expressions of pure awe. They pass through the main indoor lounge filled with plush cream-colored sectional sofas and armchairs. Large windows on both sides offer panoramic views, while soft recessed lighting creates an atmosphere of refined luxury.
PRAVEENA: So this is how Korean Kris Jenner lives.
Q: (looking around in awe) This boat is massive.
JIN: (elbowing Dae) Rich people, am I right?
DAE: Yeah.
As everyone finishes boarding, the yacht’s engines hum to life. The vessel begins to slowly pull away from the dock, creating gentle movement beneath their feet.
Dae starts to look uncomfortable as he grips the back of a chair and takes a deep breath.
YURI: (with a slight smirk, in Korean) Hey, Kim Dae Heon, you okay?
DAE: (in Korean) I-I’m fine.
The coastline starts to drift past the large windows as the staff begin serving refreshments. Kitty and Min Ho, who have just finished greeting the paparazzi, find their way over to the bar.
KITTY: I’m so glad we only have to handle two paparazzi on the yacht tonight. Any more and I will actually throw up.
MIN HO: You might want to hold that thought, Covey. My dad might change his mind.
Kitty shoots Min Ho a pointed look, but he just grins back at her.
KITTY: (groans) I never even got to go to that Moon Yaki cafe today. Or walk up the Stairs to See Stars.
Min Ho notices Kitty’s lips twist into a slight pout. He thinks in silence for just a moment as he gathers himself.
MIN HO: Want to go tomorrow?
Soft chimes play as Kitty whips her head over to Min Ho.
KITTY: Wait, really?
MIN HO: Yeah. Tour’s over, which means no more press.
KITTY: (smirking skeptically) You would walk up 148 steps of stairs?
MIN HO: (smile fading) There’s 148 steps?
KITTY: (teasing) Mhm.
JOON HO: Well, if it isn’t our family’s matchmaker.
Kitty and Min Ho turn around to find Joon Ho and a waddling Eunji walking towards them.
Kitty’s eyes light up as she and Eunji lean towards each other for a careful hug.
KITTY: (breaking the hug) Hey! How are you feeling?
EUNJI: Like I’m ready to be done.
KITTY: (with a hopeful shrug) Just a few more weeks?
JOON HO: (grinning) Only three. I’m glad the tour is over so I can finally focus on being there for my family.
Joon Ho looks lovingly over at Eunji, who smiles lovingly back.
JOON HO: (to Min Ho) So are you ready to be an uncle?
Just then, a sharp voice cuts through the air.
SUJIN: Are you going to ask me if I’m ready to be an aunt?
Everyone turns to face Sujin, who walks up to the four of them with a glass of rosé in one hand.
JOON HO: Little sis. What a surprise.
SUJIN: (crossing her arms) What? Min Ho didn’t tell you I was here?
MIN HO: (to Joon Ho) Hey, guess what? Sujin’s here.
SUJIN: Haha. Very funny.
JOON HO: You know Dark Star’s not here right?
SUJIN: Well neither is Bianca.
Kitty shoots Min Ho a look in question.
MIN HO: (quietly, nodding) The other half-sister.
SUJIN: (to Joon Ho) I came here to watch the fireworks. (expression dropping) But it’s somehow the end of summer and dad hasn’t managed to turn you two against each other. That has got to be some kind of world record.
Just then, Mr. Moon clinks his glass with a fork, grabbing everyone’s attention.
YOUNG MOON: All right. Welcome aboard the Moonlight Cruise. I hope everyone is enjoying the hors d’oeuvres. I have some exciting news to share.
Everyone settles down and listens intently.
YOUNG MOON: As you know, we just completed one of the most successful tours we’ve ever had. No disruptions. Sold-out venues. Incredible performances across the board.
Mr. Moon looks right over at Joon Ho.
YOUNG MOON: Thanks to my superstar son Joon Ho. You were amazing as always. I couldn’t be prouder.
Eunji loops her arm around Joon Ho’s as everyone on the boat claps loudly. Joon Ho nods with pride. Mr. Moon then looks right over at Min Ho.
YOUNG MOON: And my son Min Ho.
Min Ho’s eyebrows shoot up in shock at his mention.
YOUNG MOON: My star protégé. Thank you for being here and for everything you’ve contributed to this success.
Min Ho stands there in stunned silence before a genuine smile forms on his face.
Kitty smiles sweetly and looks over at Min Ho, who returns her smile with his own. Min Ho turns away to look back at his dad, but Kitty’s gaze lingers on Min Ho for just a moment longer.
Mr. Moon raises his glass.
YOUNG MOON: To family.
Meanwhile, Sujin shifts uncomfortably on the side and clears her throat pointedly.
SUJIN: (slightly bitter) What about your daughter?
Mr. Moon pauses in genuine confusion for a moment. Min Ho’s smile fades slightly as he looks between Sujin and his father.
YOUNG MOON: Oh! Sujin. I-I didn’t know you were here. Of, course. Your presence is always a pleasure.
Sujin’s face hardens at the comment, but Mr. Moon has already moved on.
YOUNG MOON: (raising his glass) To family! Cheers!
Everyone except Sujin raises their glasses.
EVERYONE: Cheers!
As the others celebrate, Sujin remains motionless. Her jaw tightens as she practically glares at her father. After a few moments, Sujin finally moves, taking a large, frustrated swig of her rosé.
The energy of the room shifts as everyone begins to enter conversations again, but then Mr. Moon shifts his attention over to Eunice.
YOUNG MOON: Hold on, everyone. I’m not done. We have one final item.
The smile on Eunice’s face begins to fade as she listens intently.
YOUNG MOON: I want to thank Eunice, our newest star. Your talent is undeniable.
An assistant appears next to Mr. Moon and hands him some papers.
YOUNG MOON: So undeniable that Moon Star Entertainment would like to officially offer you a recording contract.
Eunice gasps, her hands flying to her mouth in excitement.
YOUNG MOON: Songs will be handwritten by me, of course.
The lights on the yacht dim as colored strobe patterns begin glimmering across the deck. The guests all murmur as the yacht is now turned into full-on nightclub mode.
YOUNG MOON: This is your moment to shoot for the moon and…
EVERYONE: Land amongst the stars!
Everyone on the yacht starts clapping and cheering as Mr. Moon gestures towards himself, inviting Eunice to join him. It takes a moment longer for Eunice to gather her composure, but the entire friend group erupts in excitement as Eunice begins making her way over to Mr. Moon.
MADISON: (clapping enthusiastically) Woo! That’s our girl!
JULIANA: (whistling) Get it, Eunice!
Kitty and Q catch each other’s eyes across the group and simultaneously mouth “Oh, my God” to each other with huge grins.
As Eunice parts from Mr. Moon with her new contract papers, the two paparazzi attempt to swarm Eunice with microphones and questions. Min Ho and Kitty notice at the same time and begin making their way over through the crowd as the music swells.
Scene 09: Main Deck
The yacht has transformed into a floating nightclub. Colored strobe lights pulse across the deck as upbeat music fills the air. On the main dance floor, everyone is celebrating now.
In the center of it all, Eunice is glowing as people surround her in congratulations. Kitty and Min Ho stand slightly to the side as Praveena, Juliana, Q, and Jin finish their congratulations and head to the dance floor.
As one of the paparazzi brushes by Juliana to get a better angle, Juliana catches a glimpse of his press badge, causing her to stop in place. Praveena notices that Juliana isn’t following and quickly puts two-and-two together.
PRAVEENA: (pointing) Is that… a reporter from Entertainment Now?
Juliana nods slowly as Praveena’s jaw drops.
PRAVEENA: From your mom’s team?
JULIANA: Yeah… apparently.
Praveena gives her a meaningful look as they move toward the edge of the dance floor, but Juliana’s attention is now divided as she watches the two paparazzi flank Eunice with microphones and cameras.
PAPARAZZO 1: Eunice! Eunice! Congratulations on the contract! Can you tell us how this feels?
EUNICE: I still can’t believe it’s real.
PAPARAZZO 2: Will you be working on an album immediately? Any collaborations planned?
EUNICE: I’m just so excited to get started.
Madison, who is pulling Mihee by the arm, arrives excitedly with Yuri following closely behind. Dae follows them as well, though he’s focused on steadying himself against the yacht’s gentle rocking. Madison immediately flings herself toward Eunice.
MADISON: (squealing) Eunice! I am so proud of you!
MIHEE: You’re going to be incredible!
MADISON: (pointing) Hey, don’t forget to give us front row tickets to all your shows.
DAE: (warm, but strained) Congratulations, Eunice. Really.
YURI: (smiling) So happy for you.
The energy is infectious with everyone laughing and talking over each other with excitement. But the paparazzo’s expression shifts as he spots an opportunity.
PAPARAZZO 2: Actually, Ms. Yuri Han, right? Can you comment on the nature of your relationship with Mr. Dae Heon Kim?
The celebratory mood shifts instantly. Yuri stiffens while Dae, who was already looking queasy, now looks genuinely uncomfortable. Kitty and Min Ho immediately step forward.
KITTY: Tonight’s really about celebrating the success of the tour.
MIN HO: We could arrange other interviews at a later date-
PAPARAZZO 2: But surely you can comment on the rumors about the fake relationship? Our sources say there was financial compensation involved.
Nearby, Juliana, who has been dancing with Praveena, overhears the paparazzi’s questions. She stops mid-dance.
JULIANA: I need to make a call.
PRAVEENA: Now? But we’re having so much fun-
JULIANA: (walking away) I promise. I’ll be right back.
Praveena stands there on the dance floor, her smile fading as she watches Juliana disappear into the crowd.
Back with the paparazzi, the questions are getting more aggressive. Dae’s face has gone completely pale – whether from motion sickness or stress, though, it’s hard to tell.
DAE: (weakly) Excuse me.
Dae hurries away from the group, clearly about to be sick. Yuri instinctively takes a step to follow him.
YURI: Dae!
As the paparazzi hold their cameras to capture Yuri and Dae, Kitty leans closer to Min Ho with urgency.
KITTY: (aggressively whispering) We need to redirect them. Now.
MIN HO: Uh, gentlemen. I think my dad would love to give you an exclusive interview about the new contract details.
Kitty quickly steps between the paparazzi and Yuri’s path.
KITTY: Let us take you to him.
The paparazzi exchange a look and reluctantly follow Min Ho and Kitty toward Mr. Moon. Kitty and Min Ho breathe a collective sigh of relief as they lead them both.
KITTY: Is it just me? Or are we good at this?
MIN HO: We are. Tomorrow should be easier.
Kitty and Min Ho share a smile of professional satisfaction.
KITTY: Hm, no more press. But we get to suffer through 148 steps of stairs together.
MIN HO: (scoffing) Don’t remind me about the stairs.
Scene 10: Upper Deck
Yuri finds Dae leaning heavily against the railing, looking absolutely miserable. She approaches carefully from the side.
YURI: Hey.
DAE: (not looking up) I’m fine.
YURI: (in Korean) You look like you’re about to fall overboard.
Dae manages a weak laugh. Yuri joins him at the railing, rubbing his back in silence for a moment.
DAE: (in Korean) Thanks for… checking on me.
YURI: (in Korean) Someone has to make sure you don’t vomit on camera.
DAE: (in Korean) I mean it. After everything-
YURI: (in Korean) Hey. It’s fine. I’m not the picture perfect daughter anymore.
Yuri looks out past the dark horizon at the vast expanse of the ocean. The gentle current and yacht lights reflecting on the surface seem to pull a truth out of her.
YURI: (in Korean) It’s not like I have a reason to be…
She trails off. Dae notices, but he’s both too sick and too speechless to offer any condolence.
YURI: (in Korean) I’m sorry. I knew ahjussi was overworked.
They stand in comfortable silence for a moment.
DAE: (in Korean) I don’t have the same goals I used to have either.
YURI: (in Korean) So what do we do?
DAE: (in Korean) Right now? Try not to throw up on your dress.
Yuri chuckles despite everything.
YURI: Let me go see if they have some motion sickness medicine or something.
As Yuri walks toward the stairs, she passes Yisoo, a woman in her late 30s to 40s who, despite the time of day, is wearing a pair of designer sunglasses. She’s effortlessly and intimidatingly chic. Over Yisoo’s shoulder is a sleek bag with mesh panels peeking out.
YISOO: I love your dress.
YURI: Thank you.
They exchange a brief smile, but Yisoo’s gaze lingers a moment longer as Yuri continues past.
Scene 11: Lower Deck
Juliana stands alone with her phone pressed to her ear as she paces along the wooden flooring.
JULIANA: Hey, Mom. Yeah, everything’s fine. Busan is beautiful. Um, can I ask you to do something? For me?
Juliana takes a deep breath.
JULIANA: I need you to tell the team to call off whatever press strategy you have running on Yuri Han… I understand the optics.
Juliana pauses as she listens to her mother’s response.
JULIANA: No, mom, please listen to me. The fake relationship with Dae? That was my idea. I told Yuri to keep it up because I didn’t want to deal with coming out to you and dad yet. So…
Juliana takes another deep breath and gathers her thoughts.
JULIANA: We owe her at least that much… I’m sure the team can find some other story to run.
Juliana smiles and nods as she hears the response.
JULIANA: Thanks, Mom.
Juliana hangs up and lets out a small sigh of relief. She takes a moment to straighten her posture.
A small smile crosses her face as she turns to head back to the party. But the moment she turns around, she finds Praveena standing there with arms crossed.
JULIANA: (startled) Hey. How long have you been standing there?
PRAVEENA: Long enough. This is what you ditched me for?
JULIANA: Praveena-
PRAVEENA: No, I get it. Just there for Yuri as a friend, right?
JULIANA: Yes.
Praveena presses her tongue to her cheek as she pulls her crossed arms closer to her body.
JULIANA: I know what you’re thinking. And this isn’t the same thing.
PRAVEENA: Isn’t it? You’re putting Yuri first.
JULIANA: (firmly) I’m doing the right thing. (stepping closer) Look. Last year, when I got sent away to Oakham, I felt so lonely. I didn’t know anyone there. I asked Yuri to stay in a fake relationship with Dae so that I could come back. (smiling) And if I hadn’t come back, we wouldn’t be together.
Praveena smiles lightly as Juliana grabs her hands in her own.
JULIANA: But you’re right. I should have just told you what I was going to do. And I’m sorry.
Praveena searches Juliana’s eyes and sees the sincerity there – the vulnerability. Slowly, Praveena steps closer, closing the space between them.
PRAVEENA: Apology accepted.
Praveena cups Juliana’s face gently. She brushes her thumb across Juliana’s cheekbones. When Praveena finally leans in, their kiss is slow and deep. For a moment, the world around them disappears and they become lost in it.
They break apart softly with their foreheads touching.
But across the deck, unknown to them, Yuri has returned from her search for medicine, having witnessed the kiss. Her chest feels tight, like someone is squeezing all the air out of her lungs. She’s never seen Juliana and Praveena together like this before. Never so intimate.
Yuri presses a hand to her stomach, feeling physically sick in a way that has nothing to do with the boat’s movement. Everything she’s experienced tonight crashes over her like a wave.
Yuri quickly turns away as she seeks somewhere, anywhere, to be alone.
Scene 12: Upper Deck
Kitty and Min Ho finally emerge onto a quieter section of the upper deck, both looking relieved to be away from the chaos. The ocean breeze is refreshing after the intensity of managing the press downstairs.
KITTY: (letting out a long breath) Oh my god. I thought that was never going to end.
MIN HO: My dad’s going to keep them busy for hours talking about his “vision for the future of entertainment.”
KITTY: Your dad really turns everything into a TED talk.
MIN HO: That’s his move. Can’t make a family toast without closing a business deal at the same time.
KITTY: He seemed really proud when he called you his protégé.
MIN HO: (scoffing) Yeah, finally some acknowledgment. I’ve been working all summer toward a better relationship with my brother and my dad. (raising his eyebrows) But we didn’t know Sujin was coming. Joon Ho always got all of dad’s attention, so the rest of us just learned to compete for whatever was left. My sisters especially.
KITTY: That sounds exhausting.
MIN HO: (sarcastic) Not as exhausting as managing press.
KITTY: (pointing knowingly) You know, we might finally be off duty for once.
Min Ho turns to give Kitty an affectionately pointed look.
MIN HO: Don’t jinx it.
Just then, they spot Yisoo across the deck with her designer bag and oversized sunglasses.
KITTY: Wait, isn’t that your new stepmom? I didn’t know she was here tonight.
MIN HO: Neither did I.
Suddenly, a small black snout pokes out of the bag, followed by two beady little eyes scanning the area.
Min Ho stops dead in his tracks. His eyes widen in recognition as he grabs Kitty’s arm with urgency.
MIN HO: (whispering aggressively) Kitty. That’s the dog.
KITTY: What dog?
MIN HO: The one from Daegu! The one with trust issues!
They watch as the face of a French bulldog pushes through the zippered bag. A set of upright, rounded-tip bat ears pop out as its head breaks free of its confinement.
KITTY: (amused) What? Are dogs even allowed on this boat?
MIN HO: No!
The moment Yisoo walks out of view, Min Ho releases his grip on Kitty’s arm.
MIN HO: (indignant) I spent a whole evening being terrorized by that little menace and it turns out it was her pet.
KITTY: (stifling laughter) You’re holding a grudge against a dog that probably weighs three pounds.
MIN HO: (defensive) It was a very traumatic three pounds.
Kitty shakes her head at Min Ho in amused endearment. They share a moment of genuine carefree laughter as they spot Q, Jin, and Dae leaning over a railing across the deck.
MIN HO: Oh, look, there are the boys.
As they get closer, they notice Dae’s pale face.
MIN HO: Dae. You alright there?
Q: Motion sickness. Yuri went to find medicine.
DAE: Yeah, but that was… like twenty minutes ago.
KITTY: Oh. Maybe she got lost. I’ll go to the wheelhouse and see if they have a medical kit.
Scene 13: Upper Deck
Kitty is walking along the upper deck with a slight bounce in her step when she passes a more secluded seating area tucked behind some equipment.
She almost walks past, but something makes her pause. In the shadows, she spots a familiar figure sitting alone by the windows. It’s Yuri, hunched slightly over with her hands covering her face.
Kitty’s expression shifts from contentment to concern as she takes in the scene. Even from a distance, Kitty can tell she’s crying. For a moment, Kitty hesitates. But then she sees Yuri’s shoulders shake with a particularly hard sob.
Kitty quietly approaches and sits down on the bench beside her.
KITTY: (softly) Hey.
YURI: (not looking up) I’m fine.
KITTY: Doesn’t look like it.
Yuri finally looks up. Her makeup is slightly smeared and her eyes are red from crying.
KITTY: Do you want to talk about it?
YURI: (with a bitter laugh) Talk about what? How I ruined everything?
KITTY: What happened?
An awkward silence stretches between them.
YURI: The press… seeing Juliana with…
Kitty nods slowly as she guesses what Yuri might have seen. Yuri pauses, a hiccup leaving her body as the words catch in her throat.
KITTY: (quietly) Yuri, I’m so sorry.
Yuri stares off into the distance. And for a moment, there’s a flash of the real vulnerability beneath her walls.
YURI: I tried so hard to get everything back to how it should be. And now it’s all worse than before.
Kitty’s face shows a flash of guilt before she leans forward slightly, as if she needs to convince Yuri of this truth.
KITTY: (earnestly) That’s not true. You have friends. You have people who care about you.
YURI: Do I? …Even after Seollal?
KITTY: (firmly) Yes. You’re a good friend, and I’m glad I have you.
Yuri’s composure finally cracks and the tears start streaming down her face again.
YURI: (wiping her eyes) I just feel so lost.
KITTY: (carefully) You don’t have to figure it all out right now.
After a moment’s hesitation, Kitty reaches over and puts an arm around Yuri. Yuri leans into it. Both of them acknowledge the comfort of their friendship despite everything in the past.
YURI: Thanks, Kitty.
At that moment, Min Ho and Q walk past together when Q spots them.
Q: Oh, there they are.
The moment the words leave his mouth, Q realizes that Kitty is holding Yuri. Q glances quickly over to Min Ho, whose expression has tightened with a type of uncertainty – not jealousy, but something much more vulnerable.
Just then, Jin’s voice calls from behind them.
JIN: Min Ho! Q! I need some help with Dae!
The shout startles both Kitty and Yuri. They break apart, suddenly aware they’re not alone. Kitty’s eyes immediately find Min Ho, who is already walking away.
Q lingers for a moment, catching Kitty’s eye and giving her an urgent look.
Meanwhile, Yuri, oblivious to the tension, wipes her eyes.
YURI: The dramamine. I completely forgot.
Kitty forces a polite smile, though there’s now a tightness around her eyes.
KITTY: Come on. Let’s get it to Dae.
As they start following the others, Kitty steals a concerned glance at Min Ho’s back.
Scene 14: Main Deck
The camera sweeps over the brightly lit yacht as it moves steadily through the dark waters. In the far distance, the faint glow of Busan’s coastline twinkles like stars.
The only thing that can be heard out here is Madison and Mihee belting out a K-pop song with dramatic gestures.
At the bar nearby, Juliana, Praveena, and Eunice lean against the counter with drinks in hand, laughing and watching the karaoke performance with amusement.
Dae, however, looks like he’s barely keeping it together. Jin and Min Ho each have one of Dae’s arms over their shoulders as they slowly make their way across the main deck. They’re followed closely behind by Q, Kitty, and Yuri.
As they make their way back to the main party area, they carefully guide Dae to one of the plush outdoor lounge chairs near the edge of the dance floor.
JIN: (helping Dae sit) Easy does it.
As Dae gets settled, Yuri approaches with the dramamine. Dae looks up and notices that her eyes are puffy and red from crying.
YURI: (holding out the medicine) Here. This should help in about thirty minutes.
Dae’s gaze lingers on Yuri, who just gives him a subtle shake of her head. Dae reaches his hand out for the medicine, accepting both the help and the boundary.
DAE: (softly) Thanks.
Yuri gives a small nod and steps back from the group as Madison and Mihee finish their karaoke performance.
YURI: I’m gonna go get you some water.
She walks away toward the applauding audience at the bar, leaving the others around Dae. Jin glances over at Q for confirmation, and Q urgently nods.
Kitty takes the opportunity to approach Min Ho, who’s standing slightly apart from the group.
KITTY: Hey. Can we talk for a second?
MIN HO: About what?
Kitty glances around at the others, then gestures with her head toward a quieter area of the deck.
Min Ho hesitates for a moment, then nods.
From his lounge chair, Dae quietly observes as Min Ho slowly follows Kitty.
Just as Kitty and Min Ho take their fourth step away from the group, Mr. Moon’s voice suddenly booms across the yacht’s sound system.
YOUNG MOON: (over the speakers) May I have your attention please!
Everyone on the yacht turns toward the main stage area where Mr. Moon stands flanked by his assistants. Kitty and Min Ho stop mid-step as they turn their attention to the announcement.
YOUNG MOON: To commemorate the end of our most successful tour yet, I have a very special surprise for everyone.
One of his assistants approaches with a stack of glossy calendars.
MR. MOON: (holding one up proudly) It’s a limited edition calendar, featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes photos from the Sugar Daddy tour!
Mr. Moon holds up the calendar for everyone to see. On the cover is a photo of him flanked by Joon Ho and Min Ho, all in matching outfits with the title “FAVORITE SONS 2025” in gold lettering.
Min Ho’s eyes go wide, his eyebrows shoot up, and his mouth drops open in horror. Kitty stares in stunned silence.
MR. MOON: These will be available for preorder. But tonight, they’re complimentary for our VIP guests!
Min Ho’s hand shoots right up over his face.
MIN HO: Oh my gosh.
Jin absolutely loses it as Q smacks his lips together in an attempt to stifle his own laughter.
DAE: (weakly) At least the seasickness is distracting me from this.
Just then, a visibly intoxicated Sujin with a drink still in hand pushes through the crowd toward the stage. She strides right up to her father and snatches the calendar from his hands.
SUJIN: Don’t mind if I do.
Min Ho’s expression shifts to pure shock as he realizes how dramatic this is about to get.
MIN HO: Oh my gosh.
Kitty glances over at Min Ho as she begins to realize the same thing.
SUJIN: (stumbling) I should get the first one, right? Since it’s all about my favorite brothers.
JOON HO: Sujin, what are you doing?
Sujin shoots Joon Ho her most pointed look.
SUJIN: (loudly) You want a real story? Why don’t you ask him who his favorite daughter is?
The paparazzi immediately perk up and ready their cameras. In the background, Mr. Moon is trying to maintain his composure.
YOUNG MOON: Sujin, please. This isn’t the time or the place-
SUJIN: (loudly) When is the right time, dad? When you’re not pretending I don’t exist?
Mr. Moon stands frozen in place as his face shows genuine shock. Joon Ho makes his way over to Sujin and attempts to gently nudge her away from their dad, but Sujin aggressively shrugs him off.
SUJIN: You talk about your “star student” over there more than you ever talk about me. I’m sorry I didn’t stalk one of your favorite sons around like a lost kitten to get your attention.
Min Ho’s face immediately shifts to concern as he looks apologetically over at Kitty, who just looks back in shock. The friend group exchange bewildered looks as they try to process what’s happening.
The paparazzi begin swarming closer with their cameras flashing rapidly. Min Ho and Kitty instinctively start making their way toward the chaos to handle the press, who are giving Mr. Moon’s assistants a hard time.
Voices begin overlapping with intensity as Sujin tries to fight Joon Ho’s attempts to guide her away from the cameras.
Min Ho and Kitty have just made their way over to the rest of the Moon family when a different kind of panic cuts through the air.
EUNJI: (panicked) Joon Ho!
Everyone on the yacht turns to see Eunji holding onto her rounded belly.
EUNJI: I-I think my water just broke.
The camera pushes in on Kitty, Min Ho, Sujin, Mr. Moon, and Joon Ho – all frozen in shock as the reality of the emergency hits them.
[End of Episode]
