Suika was horrified by what she just saw.
It wasn’t the first time she found herself in the middle of a war, nor was it the first time she saw someone get hurt. But this was different.
Tsukasa, Hyoga and Kohaku had just sacrificed themselves to destroy the enemy’s communication system. The americans didn’t even hesitate to kill them.
She couldn’t imagine the future without those people, so she jumped into action. With a little knife she had tucked in her pocket in case of emergencies she untied herself, and then she ran.
She was barely able to run away fast enough, camouflaging herself with the forest around her the soldiers weren’t able to catch her.
The other hostages screamed at her to run faster, others screamed in confusion. They were all worried for her. She ran towards the only certainty she had: Senku.
Suika knew that the only hope for the defeated battle team to survive was science.

Gen was pacing around the walls of their fortress. He was worried, it had been a few hours since Kohaku ran towards the American soldiers and Hyoga and Tsukasa followed her.
Of course he had faith in them and he didn’t think they would attack the enemy without being fully prepared, but he was still worried.
Gen’s train of thought was interrupted when he saw something running towards him.
It was Suika. Gen had a million questions running through his head, but the first thing he did was run towards the little girl.
The poor kid was sobbing so hard she was shaking, but at the same time she was still running towards him.
“Suika what happened?” asked Gen in a worried tone “ Weren’t you taken hostage? What happened? Why are you crying?”
Gen was more worried than he had ever been and he quickly lifted Suika up, to see her face to face and to dry her tears.
The kid tried to talk but kept failing because she was crying so hard. In the end the only thing she managed to get out was “Senku”, so Gen took her to him.

Senku was in the same room as the rest of the crew and Xeno, minus Kaseki who was still trying to create a diamond that would restore Medusa’s power.
As soon as she entered the room Suika immediately jumped off of Gen’s arms to go hug Senku.
The scientist was clearly surprised to see her, and he looked at Gen with his eyes full of questions.
Everyone in the room was clearly worried and about to start talking (besides Xeno, he was just curious to know what happened) when Suika managed to get some words out between sobs.
“Kohaku, Tsukasa, Hyoga” she started speaking clearly still shaken “They are dead”
The girl started sobbing harder than before as the air in the room froze. Everyone was shook, trying the process the words that had just come out of the little girl’s mouth.
“You can fix them right?” asked Suika looking towards Senku whom she was still hugging.
The teenager didn’t know how to answer. Sure he had pretty much revived himself, Tsukasa and Mirai but he didn’t know the full healing powers of the petrification beam.
He quickly reassured Suika and started running towards the room where Kaseki was working with the petrification weapon.
Senku refused to acknowledge the possible death of his friends, so he buried his emotions and started thinking of a solution.
Taiju followed his best friend with tears already trailing down his face.
Chrome was hugging Suika tight, Ukio and Ryusui were standing close and exchanging worried glances, and Gen had started pacing around the room muttering about how he should have trusted his bad feeling: they were all crying.
(Xeno was sitting in a corner wondering why, even though he didn’t really care about these people, his enemies, he saw his vision get a bit cloudy.)
