Chapter Text
~Macau~
"That's."
"I know."
Chay and I looked at each other. All the color went out of Chay's face, and mine, too. I could feel it.
"Macau, Chay, what's going on? You two are worrying us."
Chay and I looked at Porsche and Kim.
"This guy is Fluke's father, and this one is Pors' father. This guy is helping Chay take care of his shop while we are here."
"Yeah, right. What are the bad people running out of my shop?"
We all looked at Chay. Chay went to get up but fell back on the sofa.
"Chay?"
We all moved over to Chay to check on him.
"Macau, can you help me back to the guest room, please? I'm tired."
"Chay?"
"Not now, Porsche."
Porsche looked at me and nodded.
~Chay~
When Porsche said we're being watched, and it was from the people who killed our parents. Then I found out that Fluke and Por were from this family, and the guy I trusted with my shop works for that family. It was too much. I was able to handle a lot of things, but this is too much at once. These were the people who killed our parents. My partner and my business partner are related to these people.
"Are you okay, Chay?"
"No, Macau. I'm not okay. Can you stay with me for a while?"
"Yes."
"Why are they so set to ruin my family, my friends, and me? Why? I don't understand. Did my parents do something they didn't like? Would they not give something they wanted?"
"I don't know, Chay. We will find out."
Chay didn't say anything else. I looked down, and he was asleep. I got off the bed and left the room.
~Kim~
After Macau and Chay went to the guest room, Porsche and I talked about everything. A little later, Macau came out of the guest room. I was working on something from work on the sofa, and Porsche was working on stuff in his office. Macau went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. He still looked pale. He went to put the glass on the countertop, but he missed it and it dropped. Then he started to go down as well. I moved my laptop to the side and went into the kitchen behind Macau to talk. I'm happy I did. I caught him and held him up. The cup hit the rug, but didn't break.
"What are you doing?"
"You need to sit down before you end up on the floor."
"Why are you helping me?"
"Macau, do you not know?"
"Don't feed me your shit, Kim."
"You and Chay are my everything. Even though you two left me."
Macau wasn't having it.
"I feel sick. All the people I loved end up hurting me in one way or another."
"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry, Macau."
"Whatever."
~Porsche~
I was in my office working on some work. I heard a noise out in the kitchen. I turned my camera feed on my laptop. I saw Kim and Macau in the kitchen at the table, talking to each other. Kim made something to eat for Macau. They talked a little more. I knew he would try to get Macau and Chay back.
"Good luck with that. Chay and Macau hate us right now."
Chay must be sleeping. I got up and went to the guest room to check on Chay. I walked by the kitchen and heard Macau.
"Chay is not okay. He wants to know why these people are trying to hurt his family, friends, and him. He thinks his parents had something to do with it."
"What do you mean?"
"I didn't know."
I headed on to the guest room to check on Chay. I opened the door and looked into the room. There was no Chay to be seen. I looked around, but saw nothing. Then it hit me. What if Chay went to his room? I took off running. Kim and Macau were on their way to check on Chay. I ran by them and went into Chay's old room. The dust sheet was moved off the bed, and Chay was sound asleep. I'm happy I got our maid to wash the bedclothes every two weeks and put the dust sheet back over it. Kim and Macau follow me.
"What is he doing?"
"Sleeping where he feels safe."
"Macau, stay in the guest room. Kim stay..."
"Not with me."
Macau turned and left the room.
Kim looked at Macau and watched as he left. He looked back at me. He didn't look happy. I looked away.
"Kim, stay on the sofa tonight."
"Okay. What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to my bed, I'm tired."
"Okay."
Kim headed out, but when he heard Chay, he stopped.
"Porsche, stay with me."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Okay, I will."
Kim left, and I moved the dust sheet from the chair I had sat in in the past, and watched Chay sleep.
"Get some rest, I'll be here."
