Chapter Text
Johnny: “Tell Franklin Uncle Johnny loves him.”
He flies towards Galactus, pushing him into space. The portal closes and Earth is saved.
Galactus: “You will be my new Herald. Take me to a new planet.”
Johnny: “Give me one second.”
Johnny looks around and sees a planet in the distance.
Johnny: “Found one. It's bigger than Earth.”
Galactus: “This is perfect.”
Johnny flies to the planet and floats in front of the people who live there.
Johnny: “Your planet is going to be destroyed. Stay with your families and friends. Galactus is coming.”
He flies away and returns to his boss.
Johnny: “It's done.”
Galactus: “Good.”
Galactus takes the planet, rips it apart, and eats it.
The other members of the Fantastic Four stand in the living room and look up at the sky.
Sue: “Do you think he's okay?”
Ben: “I don't know.”
Sue: “What if he's-”
Reed: “He's not.”
Sue: “We don't know that, he could be dead!”
6 Years Later….
Johnny stares at the people of his home planet.
Johnny: “Your time is over. Galactus has returned. Nothing can stop him from destroying this planet.”
Ben, Reed, and Sue walk through the crowd of New Yorkers.
Sue: “Johnny, please don't do this. We're your family.”
Johnny: “A Herald has no family.”
Johnny throws fireballs at the three heroes, his sister uses her powers to create a shield and the fireballs disappear.
Ben: “We gotta stop him.”
Ben throws a car at Johnny and the Human Torch throws a fireball at the vehicle. The car crashes to the ground and starts burning.
Galactus’ Herald throws more balls of fire at buildings. The Fantastic Three put out the fires and try to stop Johnny.
He punches them one by one, causing them to land on the ground.
Ben: “He's too strong. What do we do, Reed?”
Reed: “We need to-”
Reed, Sue, and Ben look at Johnny as he flies back to space.
Galactus comes towards Earth, but something silver flies towards him and sends him further away from the planet.
Shalla-Bal: “Heroes of Earth, I have come to help you stop Galactus and his new Herald.”
Sue: “Tell my brother that we miss him.”
The Silver Surfer nods and flies towards space.
Shalla-Bal: “They miss you.”
Johnny: “I know.”
Shalla-Bal: “Are you going to go back to them?”
Johnny: “I will I just- *sighs* he wants me to stay with him. He tells me to do something and I do it. If I don't listen to him, he says he'll take Franklin and I can't let that happen.”
Shalla-Bal: “Let us help you. We can defeat him, together.”
Johnny: “It's not that simple Shalla-Bal!”
Shalla-Bal: “We just want you to be safe. Come back to your home, your family.”
Johnny looks into her eyes.
Johnny: “I'm sorry, I can't.”
He takes her board and she falls down to Earth. When she lands in the middle of the street, her board stands next to her.
Ben walks to her and pulls her up.
Ben: “How did it go?”
Shalla-Bal: “I tried to talk to him but it didn't work out.”
Ben: “You did your best.”
Reed: “Are you okay?”
Shalla-Bal: “I'm fine.”
Sue: “How’s Johnny?”
Shalla-Bal: “He's trying to protect you all.”
Ben: “He just attacked us.”
Shalla-Bal: “Yes, but he still cares about his family. Galactus wants to destroy the planets of this universe, but Johnny isn't like that. You three should know that.”
Reed: “She's right. Galactus could've taken Franklin but he hasn't.”
Sue: “I hope he's doing okay.”
Shalla-Bal: “I hope he is too.”
Johnny looks down at Earth and thinks about his family. Tears fall down his face as he remembers Galactus’ plan.
Galactus: “What are you doing?”
Johnny: “I was just thinking about the bigger planets. What if you eat them instead?”
Galactus: “Hmm. That's a good idea, Herald.”
Galactus eats the bigger planets for a week and returns to his home. He's not hungry anymore and has given Johnny a place to stay.
The blonde Herald sleeps in his bed that Galactus made for him. The two of them have learned to trust each other and have become friends.
Shalla-Bal flies towards the planet and visits Johnny. She watches him as he sleeps and kisses his forehead.
Shalla-Bal: “Goodnight, Johnny. I'll come back soon.”
She flies back down to Earth and returns to the tower.
