Taking Emilia by the hand, Subaru led her back to the ballroom. They were dancing in the center of the hall. Moreover, even while dancing, Subaru managed to fool around, making stupid faces. But that didn't stop them both from looking awfully pleased with each other.
[Clumsy footsteps under the moon]
“… Fourth Arc. End.”
“The Eternal Contract…”
The theater was in a state of absolute silence. A simple pin drop in the silence felt like a bomb going off.
It's been what felt like an eternity here. There was no sound. No wailing, no sobs of pain, misery, powerlessness, no feeling of inability to do something for a beloved; no heated argument on how He should cherish his life and that people loved and cared for him; no celebration awaiting our beloved hero .
Just silence and tension filled the quiet. After what felt like a sea of emotions and accusations. In this roller coaster that derailed everything they knew about the boy.

He never expected them to find out this way or even how much it would fuck up everything.
On the road to the Watergate City, Priestella, they, among other people, were teleported to a theater by a “warden” if you could even call them a person. They are more like an amalgamation of different voices blended together or something.
That fucker decided to revealed that they gonna showed them the events that happened around Subaru and when he heard this, his heart stoped in his tracks
Would they see RBD?
Would they see how much of a failure he is?
Would they see the worst side of his friends?
Would they have convicted him as a monster that abused RBD to his benefit, after this?

He BEGGED and SCREAMED at the screen not to show them it.
And the screen answered his PRAYERS with the most monkey’s paw curled answer possible.

“Why————“
When he first heard of the proposal, he stupidly said yes.
Not knowing that this is worse than RBD being shown.
The past him had the audacity to breathe a sigh of relief upon seeing that they have removed any mentions of Return By Death, of his authority to loop, of the gift that Satella have bestowed on him for his safety.
But of course Natsuki Subaru managed to always mess up everything around him.

“Time to face the music————“
The Warden upholds the promise to him and projects a modified version of events from his POV and occasionally others POV.
In arc 1, they saw him getting attacked but never killed. It always cuts away from the killing blow.
In arc 2 it was the same but this time, they never saw the events leading to his death. The screen also switches to different POVs when any clues that could hint at the mechanism of RBD was shown. Though any mentions of past loops were fair game.
So when he was having a breakdown, they never saw the proper context behind it.
Like after Rem attacked him, it was from her POV, they started to question him as to why he didn’t loop back after being discovered. He managed to get around them by the excuse that he was caught off guard by the Rem-nade, though he didn’t know how effective it was.
In Arc 3, it was also the same. They saw loops where the Sin Archbishop of Sloth and the Great White Whale confronted Subaru.
He was flooded with questions as to why he didn't loop when in immediate danger. He was able to give a half ass answer around Crusch’s Divine Protection, that he was terrified and wasn’t thinking straight.
When they saw his breakdown with Rem, it gave the members of Theater mixed feelings. Along with Witch of Envy “helping” Subaru from multiple occasions like with Sloth’s Possession and Unseen Hands.
In arc 4, it further divided the cast on what they should do with [ Natsuki Subaru ]
It fully shows with no doubt whatsoever that me and Satella have some sort of connection. And it wasn’t because he was an Authority user and possibly the missing Pride.
The conversation during the Witches Tea Party isn't helping his case at all.
Yet when Roswell talked to him about his looping ability was shown and they questioned him one final time:
“Do you have the ability to loop back in time, [ Natsuki Subaru ]?”
“…”
“Yes, I do.”

“What’s next on this Clown Show————“
There was no way around it, I give in and try to explain as much without breaking the promise with the Warden.
“There’s a condition I need to fulfill to loop back.”
“The check points are not set truly by me .”
“There’s no limit to how much I could loop.”
“I can never truly die with this ability on.”
