“Can someone send up that polymer?” Alan shouted down from the ridge, before he heard the telltale scrambling of one of his students.
When Henry Loomis’ head appeared seconds later, having just scaled at least ten feet of rock-face, Alan found it hard to keep the amused quirk from his lips.
“You could’ve used the cart,” Alan motioned to the rope pulley behind the young man, before taking the offered item and attempting professorial severity. “Our dean would certainly prefer it.”
Glancing up, Alan caught his answering shrug and an all-too-familiar glint in his eye.
“Where’s the fun in that?”
