CHAPTER ONE: THE BEST MOMENT IN LIFE.
It was a chill evening. The weather wasn't too cold or warm it was just right.
Anaxa sat comfortably on his chair while reading a book. Occasionally stroking the bump on his belly. It has been six months since he had unexpectedly gotten pregnant. It happened during his last heat when he decided to spend it with his most exceptional student.... Phainon. Who had been trying to pursue him for the past ten years and harboured genuine feelings for him. And anaxa trusted phainon with his whole. But spending his estrus period with phainon wasn't quite planned neither.He found out three months later and at first he was very worried and insecure about it. But he still let phainon know. To his utter surprise phainon's reaction was completely different from what he had imagined. Phainon was so happy as if he was on cloud nine. Soon after that phainon asked for his hand in marriage to which anaxa obviously said yes. Their marriage wasn't a very grand one but it was perfect.
And now here he was living in their shared home reminiscing one of the best moments of his life.
Later that day, phainon came home early or he has been coming home quite earlier than usual. Of course he's more excited and happy to welcome the new family member in his home. Everyday when he comes home he will always bring something with him. Either baby clothes,shoes,toys&other items. Anaxa would often scold him for spending carelessly but phainon wouldn't just listen to him. And so anaxa is already done with the father of his baby.
And today it was no different than any other day. He bought a beautiful pink dress paired with white shoes.
"Do you like it? Isn't it cute? I met hyacine one the way and she's the one who chose it" phainon asked with enthusiasm
"Idiot you don't even know if it's going to be a boy or a girl" anaxa sighed
"Well it doesn't matter. Tomorrow I will buy boy clothes so that everything will be balanced "
Anaxa didn't say anything because he was too done with phainon and it's not like phainon will listen to him anyways.
"Let's cook dinner now you and the baby must be hungry"
Phainon has been learning to cook different types of nutritious food for him from his best friend mydeimous. The crown prince from castrum kremnos. Who surprisingly loves cooking and is probably considered one of the best cooks in okehema....
Today's dish was vegetable stew. And it tasted delicious
"How is it?" Phainon asks nervously
"It's delicious" anaxa replied with a smile while taking another spoonful of the stew. The stew tastes great. The amount of spices put in there is just right and the vegetables are fresh and the sweet aroma of mint is soothing for his head. He did a great job
"Thanks I've been trying to make it perfectly for a while" phainon says while starting to eat his meal
Actually he's getting better at cooking everyday and anaxa can tell all the dedication he puts in all of his cookings. Ever since anaxa's bump was slightly visible phainon doesn't let anaxa do a single chore or even forbid him from working because anaxa always overworks himself. Anaxa had to pester him alot of how he'll get bored like this,how it's important for amphoreus,how it's important for the students and phainon has no choice but to finally agree . But he only agreed that anaxa will do light works like reviewing the papers. No more experiments or research for the time being.
At night when they were getting ready to sleep phainon helped anaxa apply oil on his belly and offered to do a light massage on his back for the back pain. It was soothing and relaxing
"Do you like it?"
"Mhm"
"I'm glad you do"
They kissed eachother goodnight and anaxa slowly drifted to the Dreamland..
In the middle of the night anaxa felt thirsty and woke up to drink water only to find phainon gently running his hand over anaxa's belly whole leaning his head over his it.
"Phainon?! What the hell are you doing??"
"Oh I'm sorry did I wake you up? I didn't mean to I'm sorry " phainon kept apologising a bit startled
"No you didn't wake me up but what were you doing?
"I asked some mothers about when they usually felt the baby's movement during their pregnancy and they said it happens around 24-25 weeks after they conceives and You're already 24 weeks pregnant so I wanted to feel if the baby moves" phainon says with a pout& an embarrassing face which anaxa can't help but coo at.
"Give me your hand" anaxa commands and phainon with a confused look lets anaxa hold his hand
Anaxa takes his hand and searches for some movement in his belly. They stay like that for a while until a slight gentle tap can be felt. It's so gentle that it's not noticeable until someone presses onto it. Both of them held their breath and then another gentle tap can be felt in the same area.
Anaxa hears a gentle sob coming from phainon's side. When he opens his eyes he meets with a crying phainon. Tears streaming from his blue eyes already wetting his handsome face while he struggles to not cry out loud. And anaxa knows what phainon's feeling right now. The big who lost his homeland,his closest people,his family has finally gotten a chance to get a family of his own . And anaxa exactly knows this feeling because anaxa has also lost his home& family. Anaxa can't help but cry with phainon. That night they both went to sleep while holding eachother and comforting eachother.
Days passes by and anaxa's delivery time is nearing as well. Both him and phainon can't wait to welcome their little one very soon. Phainon has always been the best life partner anaxa could ever ask for. Anaxa wonders what did he ever do in his life to be blessed with such a person in his life. Phainon has been spending more time with him and only leaves if it's some urgent chrysos heir stuffs. He has asked aglaea to make the best clothes for his child both genders because the gender of the child is still unknown which aglaea promised him she will and of course the gold weaver who adores phainon so much will give her best to make the clothes for his child. Without any expenses.
That morning phainon had to leave because aglaea called him to discuss some important issues. So anaxa was alone in their shared home when castorice and hyacine gave him a suprise visit
Hyacine bought lots of fruits and healthy snacks while castorice bought lots of plush toys for the baby which she sewed herself. Cassie has been like that. She would often drop by and give the plush toys she makes herself. They talked and the girls didn't let anaxa get up. They served the tea&snacks themselves. Talking with hyacine and castorice felt great. Anaxa was glad that they both visited.
Later that evening anaxa was sitting on his bed texting phainon who kept apologising for being later than usual. Apparently something urgent came up and he had to go to castrum kremnos to check the black tide situation there.
Suddenly anaxa heard a sound coming from his window's direction and his attention drifted there.
"Cifera?"
"Aww you caught me" cipher appeared from behind the window faking a sad look
"What do you want?" Anaxa asked indifferently
"I came to visit the baby and bought a gift for the baby as well" cipher replied while holding out a small box Infront of anaxa
"Well the baby isn't born yet but thanks for visiting and for the gift" anaxa says with a gentle tone
"Alright that's it for me here I'm gonna go now" with that cipher disappeared onto thin air
It has already been 8 and a half months. The baby's movement has become frantic,anaxa started to have back pain and his chest has become plumber. His nipples are swollen and they stings. He started to lose some hair as well. But his life partner, the father of his child has been so supportive of him. Doing whatever he wants, making him whatever food he wants to eat. Sometimes he thinks he doesn't deserve phainon at all and tears up which of course phainon handles very well. Phainon handles all of his mood swings in the best way possible. Lady tribbie,trinnon and trianne often visits anaxa to check on him and give him all sorts of tips and guidance. And that's how anaxa's entire period of being pregnant went by
With the love and care of not only his love but all the chrysos heirs. He was thankful for everything
And then came the day of his delivery. The baby came earlier than expected. His water broke when they were just preparing for bed and anaxa was immediately rushed to hospital. Phainon stayed by his side the entire time of his labour. Anaxa have birth to a lovely girl....
When the baby first came out and cried phainon cried too while holding the baby close to anaxa and anaxa couldn't help but tear up the moment he touched her. This was the best moment of his life .
When anaxa woke up and the drugs had finally wore off he found phainon sitting next him while gently looking at him with a smile . Phainon helped him sit up and bought the sleeping baby to him. Anaxa finally held the baby. She was so small and cute. And anaxa swore he will protect her,hide her away from the cruelty of this world.
She got phainon's eyes while the facial structure was similar to phainon as well. He wonders if she got the same blue eyes that anaxa loves so much.
"Nine months in my womb and she came out looking like her stupid dad"
Phainon chuckled at that while apologising. Anaxa kissed the baby's hand and forehead.
"Thanks" anaxa says
"For what?" Phainon asks looking confused.
"For giving me the best moments of my life. I'm so glad you came to my life. I'm so glad for everything that has happened to me because of you. I will never be able to repay you"
anaxa looks up eyes glistening and he meets phainon's gentle blue eyes
"I should be the one thanking you for coming into my life. For giving me a chance to be a part of your life. I have lost my family, friends and homeland but I'm glad I came to okehema and met all these amazing people. I'm so thankful that I met you and persuaded you for ten years. I'm so thankful for everything. I'm so thankful to you for making my life better and giving me hopes for a brighter future"
They both shared a passionate kiss and hugged eachother.
Few days later anaxa was discharged and finally came home with a new family member. What he didn't expect was the surprise party the chrysos heirs held the moment he stepped into the house alongside phainon. It was phainon,hyacine and castorice's idea and other heirs agreed to it as well. It was a welcome party for the new little member. They also prepared the baby's room with all the girly stuffs phainon and others have bought for the past nine months.
Everything went nicely. The heirs congratulated both him and phainon,held the baby and played with her and gave her presents.
This scene was heartwarming. Anaxa can't wait to spend the rest of his life here. Their baby's first word, first walk, first day of school he is already imagining it all. Maybe they'll also get a pet droma like he used to have back in his hometown or maybe a pet chimera. He can't wait.
Euphoria. Spending the rest
of his life with his love ,child and friends is a euphoric feeling. And anaxa hopes this feeling never goes away.........
