Leafy’s eyes shot open, she looked around the world looked less detailed she saw Firey waiting by their old tic tac toe paper while Bubble was talking to him. This day looked familiar……..too familiar “the season 1 finale!” Leafy accidentally said out loud to their surprise. “Yoyle cake!” Bubble yelled as Firey ran over to her “isn’t it great Leafy if less than 2 minutes we’ll have a winner, and one of us will have dream island!” Firey said happily.
Leafy could only stare, as their names were called by the speaker box she realized she had no control of her body. It was a feeling of position, she couldn’t even talk at this point as the contestants stated who they wanted to see win, their choices hadn’t changed. The winner hadn’t either, Firey won. Leafy was thrown to the line, realizing she was powerless as Firey let Coiny in she looked down awaiting the painful words that “and finally Leafy, of course you can come in!” Firey said joyfully holding the door for her.
All at once her limbs loosened, she could speak again, “I……I…..what?” Leafy asked confused. “You’re my friend of course you can come in!” Firey said as Leafy entered. It was amazing, standing inside brought tears to her eyes. “You okay?” Firey asked with a half grin, “yeah…..it just feels unreal.” Leafy said looking at Firey.
Leafy was escorted to a room on dream island, it had a living area with a couch and TV, a kitchen with stools at the counter, two bathrooms and a bedroom. The entrance had a mirror and a bowl for keys. She looked out the window and saw Coiny waving while Pencil, Match and Bubble walked from past. She lied down uneasy as she shut her eyes, instantly she was in an unfamiliar room. There was a knock which she quickly answered to see Pin, “oh hi Pin” Leafy said uneasy,”hi Leafy, isn’t this place wonderful!?” Pin said with a grin too wide. “Uh….yeah, but how did we get here?” Leafy asked. Pin blinked one eye at a time, “I don’t know what you mean, we’ve been competing for two years!” Pin unintentionally yelled. “See you tonight at six for the celebration!” Pin said happily. Leafy looked confused as pin left, she looked out her window to see Coiny still waving as Pencil, Match and Bubble walked from past as if they circled the building.
At six Leafy was still in her room trying to figure out what happened when she heard a knock. “I’m sorry but I’m busy.” Leafy apologized. Firey walked in, “you’re late for the ceremony” Firey pointed out grabbing her hand, Leafy looked at their hands. It felt like months since she felt his touch. She felt tears begin to form in her eyes, “are you okay, Leafy?” Firey asked wiping away her tears. Leafy began to sob slightly as she opened her eyes to see Firey’s eye’s were vacant, she blinked quickly pulling her hands away only to see they were normal. “What’s wrong?” Firey asked, “I need a night to settle in…” Leafy said wiping her eyes. Firey looked her in the eyes as he walked out.
Leafy looked in the mirror and quickly sat down. She began rubbing her legs for comfort but quickly realized something. She walked to the kitchen and jammed a fork from the kitchen into her left leg! She looked at her leg………as nothing happened. No bleeding, no feeling in her leg until……….her head began to burn as she collapsed.
Earlier
Leafy had woken up after the storm. She attempted to walk only to immediately fall, she looked down to see………her left leg was completely gone! “Aaaaahhhhhh!” Leafy let out a scream, she looked around and grabbed a branch to use for a walking stick. She stumbled for what felt like hours before collapsing, she heard strange, unfamiliar voices before feeling an injection. She felt a deep burning sensation in her head as her ears began to rang. Suddenly her eyes shot open.
Now
Leafy opened her eyes to see Pin and Firey standing over her. “Are you okay!?” Pin asked. Leafy just stared blankly, “Leafy, alliance! Remember?” Pin said in a up beat tone. Leafy sat up slowly “Leafy, should we get you medical attention?” Firey asked, as Leafy just walked out. The second Leafy stepped outside it began pouring rain, “where am I!?” Leafy screamed. Leafy tried to fight the wind only to be thrown back to the entrance where Firey and Pin waited.
Leafy looked up at the two harshly as Pin and Firey just nodded at each other. “Why do you want to leave?” Pin asked “because I need to find Firey!” Leafy yelled only to have Firey(?) grab her hand, “you did, only better (he placed her hand in his flame) I’m a version incapable of hurting you, I’ll never leave your side. The me out there spent ten years avoiding you and acting like you don’t matter. Here, I’ll be a version that will love you forever.” He kissed her (without needing a yoyle berry).
Leafy opened her eyes from the kiss and looked in his eyes, they looked just like his. “You aren’t him” Leafy said looking as his eyes turned vacant again. Immediately the pain returned as she fell to the ground as her eyes popped open again. Leafy realized she was in some strange cabin. She looked around and saw the needle that put her in that dream. Her eyes fell at her legs realizing that her missing leg was replaced with a wooden one, she heard voices in the back room.
She quickly stood only to fall, she saw her walking stick by the door. She crawled over to the door and took it on her way out. Outside she heard a pair talking, ‘where did she go?’ ‘How did she wake up?’ ‘That’s only possible if the subject rejects the serum………who would reject their greatest desire?’ The voices began to exit to another room as Leafy started to move, “I’m coming, I don’t care where you are.” Leafy sighed
Meanwhile
On a boat Firey sailed with 8-Ball, “where are we going?” 8-Ball asked, l have someone I need to find.” Firey said looking at the water with concern.
