Chapter Text

"Mitchie...that kiss was a MISTAKE and...and I have to tell Pippy -"

"NoNoNoNOOOO...WHYYYY?! You tell Pippy - Pippy tells Rosie - Rosie kills Mitchie...please don't do that, Tara !"

"I'm SORRY...Mitchie I really am, but I AM gonna tell her - if I don't, I'm in trouble."

Mitchie whines "And if you do, my blood is on YOUR hands. Good luck with your conscience, FRIEND ."

"OK, alright! Let me...let me think about it; I'll - "

PIPPY: "Think about WHAT, Tara ?"

"What do you want, Tara?"

TMI blinks before jokingly replying," 'Oh, Hi, Babe! Wow, you look beautiful - c'mon in!' "

Judging by the expression on Pippy's face, her 'jest' falls flat. "OK, no funny," she sighs. "I miss you."

"And I you," Pippy shoots back. "You HURT ME, Tara. I only found out about Mitchie and you kissing when I overheard you and him plotting
how to keep what happened from me - what's there left to say?"

"It's really warm out here", TMI bargains, flashing a hesitant smile. "Please, may I come in?"

She is genuinely shocked when hr soon-to-be wife steps aside, allowing her entrance.

Inside, they sit with glasses of wine in semi-strained silence until TMI said, "It was nothing, Pip. I've thought about it, and I kinda realized that
that my 'coming out' to my family was why I lost them...most of my friends, too...you were away at your concert - I was missing you, AND...
it just happened. I love you. I LOVE YOU and I'm so, so sorry. Please forgive me."

Pippy nodded. "Mom says that love doesn't really exist without forgiveness. If I love you the way that I say that I do, then forgiveness
has to be a part of that, doesn't it? As Mom explained, people forgive others because they are vested in relationships with them.
Those who are 'wronged' understand the importance of forgiving and then moving on with life without harping on the past. That DOES
NOT MEAN that forgiving involves forgetting the injury, releasing offenders from accountability, or self-sacrifice. That tiny little kiss...I
see that I placed too much emphasis on a slip. I owe YOU an apology, and here it is: forgive me, Wife. I forgive you."

TMI cries, "OH, Baby!" rushing over to hop onto Pippy's lap and embracing them tightly, following up with a fevered kiss.
