Notes:

Hello!

I am so excited to be back with another Wenclair fanfic!

To everyone that read my first one, thank you for reading it and coming back! To everyone else, welcome! This fanfic is a sort of spiritual successor to my first work, but you don't have to read it to understand this one.

I tried writing some content that I have never written before, so let me know how you like it!

Also, this one was barely edited, so I apologize for any errors or inconsistencies.

As always, comments are my favorite, but you time is more than enough for me!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Enid bounds up to her girlfriend the second she walks through the threshold of their dorm. She grabs Wednesday's shoulders and crushes her in a hug. "I missed you!"

Wednesday hugs her back lightly. "I just saw you less than two hours ago."

Enid lets her girlfriend out of the hug, keeping her hands planted on her shoulders. "Can't a girl miss her girlfriend?" She sees Wednesday's eyes crinkle, her top lip quirking in disgust. She's never been keen on the name, and Enid has tried several pet names to replace it to no avail.

Wednesday looks up at Enid with her dark chocolate orbs. "I missed you as well..."

Enid smiles at her. "Are you tired? I was hoping that we could go out tonight."

Wednesday glances at her as she sets her bag on her desk, her eyes alight. "As in a date?"

Enid's eyes widen slightly. "No, more like a simple evening outing." The blonde had learned too late that the word "date" meant entirely different things to the two girls. When Enid proposed their official first date two months ago, the autumn weather was crisp and perfect, so she was thinking maybe a cute morning spent at a farmer's market.

Wednesday, in all of her vast seriousness, took it upon herself to have a dress tailored for Enid - who's measurements she'd taken in said girl's sleep. Then she borrowed a car that she then drove to an upscale restaurant that she had reserved for them.

Enid loved the date, and loved how much effort Wednesday put into making it special. But it was way too fancy for her, and she had to temper Wednesday's anticipation every time that she mentioned going out.

Wednesday's eyes settle. "What did you have in mind?"

Enid strolls over to her and runs her fingers along Wednesday's small book collection sitting on her desk. She brushes the resulting slight layer of dust off her fingers. "Well, I was thinking that you can only reread the classics so many times, so we should go to that cute little bookstore in town."

Wednesday watches Enid's hands intently as she dusts off her books, coughing as the dust clouds in the air. "They're considered classics for a reason."

"I know, but you're always trying to expand your knowledge." Enid reaches for one of the books, pulling out a copy of Les Mis. "The world's literary knowledge didn't end in 1862."

Wednesday's eyes do their cute dilating thing where they rapidly expand and contract. Enid has come to learn that means that she's processing her emotions. She sees Wednesday's cheeks dust with pink. "I suppose that you're not exactly wrong."

Enid smiles in her triumph as she slides the book back into its place. "So, is that a yes?"

Wednesday nods once. "I accept."

Enid claps her hands together. "Change out of your uniform and let's go!"

Enid adjusts her scarf as she and Wednesday step into Jericho's main square, the afternoon sun illuminating their breaths. She looks down at Wednesday, whose arm is linked within Enid's. She's so cute in her massive coat.

Wednesday is not big on public displays of affection, but she agreed to at least link arms when they were out and about. Enid can't help but stand taller whenever they walk together like this. The brilliant and badass Wednesday Addams chose her , and she's going to make sure that the world knows it.

Despite the cold weather, the town is as bustling as ever, with shop owners beginning work on setting up their Christmas decorations. Enid watches with joy as two little kids play in the snow that fell last night. She loves Christmas, and her mind is already racing about what to get Wednesday.

The two girls cross the street back into the outer ring of the square, the wooden door of the bookshop appearing into view. Wednesday detaches from her girlfriend and goes to open the door. Enid sneaks a quick kiss onto Wednesday's forehead as she steps into the shop, which earns her a light smack on the arm as Wednesday follows her inside.

Enid loosens her scarf as the warmth of the shop envelopes her. It's larger than it looks from the outside, with both walls lined with books, their spines all facing out. Tables run down the center of the shop, showcasing new releases.

Wednesday shrugs off her coat on one smooth motion, hanging it on the mounted hooks near the door. She tugs on Enid's arm, taking her jacket and scarf and doing the same.

Enid takes a deep breath. The cozy space smells like old paper and soft spiced apples candles. She turns to look at Wednesday, who is observing the space with that scrutiny that Enid finds oddly attractive. "This place is so cute!"

Wednesday nods once. "It is nice." She brushes her fingers along the old wooden shelves, eyes following the tags denoting the genre.

The two stick together as they silently browse the shelves. As they approach the back, the shop owner greets them cheerfully as she steps out from the back room, mentioning how happy she is that young people enjoy reading.

Enid's eyes catch on a book in the young adult section. She pulls it out, turning it over to look at the cover. "What about this one?" She says to Wednesday, who strides over to her. "It seems like something you'd like. It even has 'murder' in the title!"

Wednesday scours the cover of the book, her face contorting with each flick of her eyes. “ A Good Girl's Guide to Murder ,” she recites.

"It looks interesting!" She steps around Wednesday to read the back over her shoulder. "Pippa is such a cute name!”

Wednesday tilts her head to look at Enid through her bangs. "This looks like a book for children."

Enid's heart stutters. She's so fucking cute. "Technically, it's for young adults."

Wednesday blinks.

"That's what we are, Wednesday."

"Hmph."

"Just give it a try. You won't die if you read it."

"Death would be preferable."

Enid ignores her and plucks the book from her hands, greeting the shopowner at the counter as she sets it down.

The lady types in the book's product number, making pleasant conversation as she does. "Are you two an item?" She asks, glancing at Wednesday.

Enid turns to follow her gaze, observing as Wednesday makes a disgusted face at a hot pink book. She turns back to the lady, pulling her wallet out as she does. "Yep, that one is mine," she says fondly, handing over some cash.

The shopowner smiles brightly. "You're very cute together. I can tell that she loves you."

Enid tilts her head as she takes her change. "Really?" Enid has never doubted the depth of Wednesday's love - she's just surprised that someone else noticed.

The lady smiles warmly at her. "It's in the way that she looks at you. Her eyes are bright and warm." She leans over to look at Wednesday again. "Which says a fair bit considering how... strong her stare is."

Enid chuckles as the lady sets the book, now wrapped in a paper bag, on the counter. "She's a weirdo, but that's one of the many things that I love about her."

Enid takes the bag. "And thank you. It means more than you know to hear you say that."

"I cannot believe that you actually bought that book," Wednesday says as Enid approaches her, Enid's coat in her hands.

Enid smiles brightly, sliding on her coat. "Time for you to broaden your horizons, my love."

Wednesday's face darkens with a blush. "I don't mind that one," she says.

Enid sighs contently as she hangs her coat on her chair. She sits down on her bed, watching as Wednesday sets the paper bag down on her desk. She follows her movements as Wednesday hangs her coat on her coatrack. She often finds herself just watching Wednesday, observing each little movement.

Wednesday twitches. Her gaze snaps to Enid's. "Spit it out, Enid."

Enid smiles playfully, but says nothing.

Wednesday slowly pads her way over to her girlfriend, crossing her arms as she stands in front of Enid.

Enid snakes her arms around Wednesday's waist and spreads her legs, pulling her closer.

Wednesday braces her hands on Enid's shoulders, her eyes glancing at Enid's hands on her waist before looking back at her girlfriend.

Enid nods once, brushing Wednesday's hip bone with her thumb - her way of asking if Wednesday is alright. She is still warming up to the whole physical touch concept, and Enid always makes sure that she's comfortable. The few nights that they've shared in Enid's bed are as far as Wednesday has gone.

Wednesday nods once back - a confirmation. Her hands glide up Enid's neck, sending searing shocks through her body. Her hands stop at Enid's jaw.

Enid looks up at Wednesday - this girl that she has fallen utterly and completely for. Wednesday brushes Enid's cheek, and Enid's lips part slightly as she leans into the touch. Please, just kiss me.

Wednesday's eyes flick down to the motion, glancing down at Enid's lips before locking their eyes once again. Wednesday must see her silent plea, because she tilts Enid's face up and leans down.

The feeling of Wednesday's lips never fails to suck away her breath, like a candle being suffocated. Enid pushes against Wednesday, desperate for more contact.

Wednesday pushes back, catching Enid off guard. That's uncharacteristic of her, but she isn't complaining.

Enid's grip on Wednesday's waist tightens, and she pulls their bodies together. Wednesday falls into Enid, pushing their lips harder together.

Enid is the first to break the kiss, gasping for air. Wednesday does the same, their position giving Enid the perfect view of the curves of Wednesday's chest move with each of her breaths.

"You're so beautiful." Enid's voice is barely a whisper, but Wednesday can hear it perfectly. She leans down and kisses Enid again - softer, barely there.

Enid sighs against Wednesday's lips before laying her head against her chest. She wishes that she could kiss Wednesday until she dies from lack of air, but she knows that Wednesday can only handle so much kissing.

Wednesday's hands wrap around Enid's head, and Enid wraps her arms around Wednesday's waist fully.

Enid breathes in Wednesday's scent. Parchment, candle wax, the light floral scent of her body wash that Enid adores. "I had fun tonight, Wens," she says against Wednesday's chest.

Wednesday doesn't say anything for a second. "I did as well. Thank you for taking me out.”

Enid walks into the dorm the next day, the bright sun of the early afternoon plastering a smile on her face. She closes the door gently, her head unconsciously pivoting to the right, where Wednesday lays on her bed - reading the book that Enid bought her yesterday.

A devious smile slowly creeps across her face. "Well, what do we have here?"

Wednesday's gaze snaps up to Enid, her head remaining pointed at the book.

Enid places her hands behind her back and takes long, exaggerated steps towards her girlfriend. "Wednesday Addams reading - dare I say enjoying modern literature?”

Wednesday places a bookmark in the book and sets it on her lap. "It would be rude to not read it after you bought it for me."

Enid raises her eyebrows. "Sure," she says, making her skepticism known. She looks down at the book. Wednesday is at least a quarter of the way in. "How is it?"

Wednesday picks up the book, inspecting it. Enid watches her fingers move as she does. "The premise is intriguing enough, and the prose is not atrocious."

Enid's smile turns genuine. She likes it.

"Also, I like the main character." Wednesday looks up at her. "She reminds me of you, in a strange way."

Enid plops down on the bed next to her. "Yeah? How so?"

Wednesday scoots over to give her room, adjusting so their shoulders are touching. "She has a good heart. She's not solving this murder for her own personal enjoyment - like I would. She's doing it for someone else. Someone that she barely even knew." She looks over at Enid. "It just sounds like something that you would do."

Enid meets her gaze. "Are you saying that you don't have a good heart?"

"Not nearly as good as yours."

Enid kisses her cheek. "You're going soft on me, Addams."

Wednesday leans harder against Enid. "Hmph."

Enid isn't done teasing her yet. "You're losing your edge, my love," Enid says, trying out the pet name again. She feels Wednesday's body press against her further.

Enid wraps her arms around Wednesday's neck, nuzzling their heads together. She presses a delicate kiss to Wednesday's ear. "It's cute."

Wednesday pushes her away in protest. "Go away so I can keep reading."

Enid giggles as she hops up from the bed, moving towards her trunk where she keeps her clothes. She pulls out her favorite sweater and sweatpants, closing the trunk quietly so as to not disturb Wednesday.

She glances back over at her girlfriend and sees her knees pulled up to her chest - a favorite position of hers, Enid has learned. The book is positioned on her knees directly in front of her face. The gray blanket that Enid crocheted for her is wrapped around her shoulders.

Enid feels her heart swell as she changes out of her uniform, folding it neatly and putting it in the trunk. She grabs her phone from her backpack and sits down at her desk, scrolling idly through all her social media apps to procrastinate doing her assignments.

She can't help but steal another glance at Wednesday. Still engrossed in her book. Enid sighs quietly. She won't be giving me any attention anytime soon. She grabs her backpack and pulls out her folders.

Enid checks the time on her phone. 18:00. She rubs her eyes, the images of various math problems imprinted on her eyelids. She slides her worksheet into its folder and closes it with a huff.

"Wens?" Enid asks.

Wednesday doesn't look up from her book. "Hmm?"

Enid loves the way the sound hits her ears. "Want to cuddle? I can play with your hair in the way that you like."

That makes Wednesday look up from her book, but not at Enid. The blonde can see Wednesday's eyes doing their cute dilating thing.

Enid waits patiently, smiling to herself. Wednesday looks over at her. "Alright." She quickly turns off her lamp, blanketing her side of the room in darkness.

Enid scoots over on her bed, and Wednesday brings over her gray crocheted blanket.

Wednesday sits gingerly on the bed, and Enid gently rests her arm on Wednesday's shoulder, letting her decide how close she wants to be. She is happy to see that Wednesday pushes her entire body up to her, settling in under her arm.

How is this tiny girl so warm? Enid isn't tall by any means - still below average for women. But Wednesday is small. Not just her height, but her frame. Small shoulders that fit perfectly underneath Enid's arms. Her thin waist that Enid would practically kill to wrap her hands around. Her slender legs that move with purpose.

Enid knows better than most that Wednesday doesn't let her stature dictate her behavior. She's small, but she's strong - capable. Just another thing that Enid adores about her.

Enid begins working on undoing Wednesday's braids, setting her ornate silver hair clips on her desk. Wednesday's braids unravel in a beautiful cascade of dark brown waves. The wolf hums lightly. Seeing Wednesday with her hair down was what made her realize her feelings for her in the first place.

Enid begins running her fingers through her girlfriend's hair, slowly untangling any knots. "I love your hair, Wednesday," she whispers.

Wednesday relaxes into Enid, closing her eyes.

Enid continues her work, her fingers brushing Wednesday's scalp. She extends her claws just enough to make them sharp and starts to scratch Wednesday's head.

Wednesday groans, quietly - barely audible, but Enid can feel the sound in the other girl’s chest. The vibration sends a tingle up her spine.

They sit in silence, their shared warmth lulling Enid's head onto her pillow, her fingers still gliding through Wednesday's hair. Her eyes slide closed, her fingers slowing in their movements.

Enid's eyes flutter open as she feels the sudden rush of cold air of Wednesday's absence, followed by the click of her lamp. Wednesday returns, her comforting warmth coming with her. She grabs the comforter, pulling it up to envelope them both. She settles onto Enid, nuzzling her head onto her neck.

Enid wraps her arms around Wednesday's waist, pulling her closer. "I love you, Wednesday," she says against Wednesday's hair.

Wednesday doesn't respond, but Enid feels her lips press against her neck - against her scars. The scars that Wednesday vehemently declared her love for.

Enid responds by tracing her nails in lazy circles on Wednesday's back, surrendering her consciousness.

Enid groans as she feels her mattress shift. Her eyes open to find Wednesday sitting up in her bed. She watches lazily as Wednesday stretches and rolls her shoulders, her dark brown hair cascading down her back. The steep angle of the winter morning sun shines directly on it, highlighting her rich chocolate brown waves.

Wednesday turns around slowly, her bangs slightly messy from sleep. The sun shines on her face, showing the true brown hue of her eyes and the dusting of freckles on her cheeks. "Good morning, Enid," she says, her voice rough with sleep.

Enid's morning grogginess evaporates instantly. Fuck.   "Good morning, Wednesday." Her voice is breathy.

Wednesday looks across her face, her pupils doing their dilating thing. She twitches slightly, like she's hesitating.

Enid touches her arm. "You alright?"

Wednesday nods once. She crawls back onto Enid's chest, planting a kiss on her cheek before nuzzling her head into Enid's neck.

Enid laughs. "Someone is affectionate this morning." She places a hand on the small of Wednesday's back, rubbing it slowly.

Wednesday doesn't say anything. She places a gentle kiss on Enid's neck, near the scar again.

Enid lets out a slow breath as the warmth of Wednesday's lips spreads throughout her body. She barely holds back a gasp as Wednesday kisses her neck again - lower and harder. Another kiss near her throat is too much, and she gasps quietly.

Wednesday pauses her kissing to sit up, her legs swinging over to straddling Enid's waist. Wednesday waits before moving down again, and Enid recognizes the silent question in her eyes. She nods, smiling warmly at her. Wednesday resumes her assault on her neck, her kisses growing hungrier.

Enid moans as Wednesday's teeth graze her neck. She grabs the nape of Wednesday's neck, her other hand finding her waist. "Wednesday-"

Wednesday places several more kisses, Enid moaning unabashedly. When she stops, Enid feels the cool air hit her now slick neck. Wednesday sits up, placing all of her weight onto Enid's hips. Her face is pink with a blush, her lips shiny and slightly plump. "Enid?" Her voice is raw.

I've never loved the sound of my own name more. Enid swallows hard. "Yes?"

"Can we try something?"

Enid has no idea what Wednesday is thinking, but she doesn't care. She could actually kill her and Enid would still adore her. "Absolutely. As long as you're comfortable.” Enid trails a gentle touch along Wednesday's arm.

Wednesday grabs Enid's hand. She nods. Then her fingers slide underneath the hem of her shirt, and she pulls it off before Enid can register what is happening. She tosses it onto the bed.

Enid's eyes immediately snap to Wednesday's bare stomach, taking in every curve and dip of perfect tan skin. Her hands raise, but she puts them back down, not knowing what to do. Her eyes meet Wednesday's. Her face is now very red, but she holds Enid's bewildered gaze.

She licks her lips as her eyes involuntarily flick to Wednesday's chest - the black sports bra clinging to her frame, the small curve of her chest, the harsh angles of her collarbones.

Enid meets her eyes again. She nods once, asking for permission.

Wednesday nods back.

Enid wastes no time. She grasps Wednesday's bare waist, pulling her with her as she sits up. Wednesday gasps slightly, grabbing onto Enid's shoulders. Enid crushes their lips together in a kiss. Her hands roam Wednesday's abdomen, touching every piece of skin that she can.

She pulls Wednesday farther onto her lap, and Wednesday responds by gripping Enid's nape, her chest pressing against Enid's.

She breaks the kiss roughly, only taking a quick gasp of air as she moves to Wednesday's neck. She returns the treatment that she got earlier in earnest, her tongue trailing after each kiss.

Wednesday squirms under Enid's grasp, a strained gasp escaping her. Enid feels a fire ignite in her at hearing the sound. Wednesday’s skin is soft and hot and smells like that fucking floral soap.

She grazes her teeth along Wednesday’s throat, trailing her kisses to the base of her neck, where she bites down gently. Wednesday moans, the sound vibrating in her throat. Enid instantly wants to hear it again. It's softer than she imagined - feminine. She laps at the pink marks on Wednesday’s neck, licking away the pain.

She trails light kisses down to her exposed collarbone, tugging the strap of her bra aside slightly to reach it. She bites down again, harder. She's rewarded with another moan, and she gasps at the sensation that overtakes her senses.

Enid pulls away from Wednesday, admiring her work, smiling at the red marks leading down her girlfriend’s neck. She moves to kiss Wednesday, only to stop as she feels something hot against her stomach. She looks down to see Wednesday’s hand tugging at the hem of her sweater. She looks up at Wednesday, their eyes locking for only a second before Enid scrambles to throw off her top. She throws it next to Wednesday’s discarded shirt, revealing her own sports bra - light pink.

Wednesday’s hands wrap around Enid’s waist, and Enid feels the searing contact stoke the flame in her stomach. Enid pulls Wednesday in to kiss her again - slower, deliberate.

Enid bites Wednesday’s bottom lip, eliciting a moan from the goth. Wednesday pulls Enid up into a harder kiss, her hands finding the straps of her bra, her fingers gripping Enid’s shoulders.

Enid slides her hands down to Wednesday’s waist. As she does, her hand slips, causing her finger to slip below the waistband of Wednesday's leggings.

Wednesday jerks harshly, breaking the kiss with a loud smack. She pushes back from Enid, bracing herself on her shoulders.

Enid feels her heart shatter at the scared look in Wednesday's eyes. “Wednesday I - I'm sorry, I didn't mean to - My hand slipped -”

Wednesday grips Enid’s shoulders harder, bringing the blonde out of her thoughts.

Enid shuts her mouth instantly, tears welling in her eyes. Her breaths slow. “Do you want to stop?”

Wednesday nods slowly, lowering herself to wrap her arms around Enid's torso, nuzzling her face into the pillow behind her.

Enid returns the embrace, hugging Wednesday hard. She draws circles on her back to calm herself, breathing in Wednesday’s scent.

They remain like that for several minutes, their breathing steadily falling in step with each other. Enid finds the courage to speak first. “Are you sure that you're alright?” Her voice sounds small even to her own ears.

“Yes, I just - I didn't expect it. It's alright.”

Enid sucks in an uneven breath, the tears flowing freely now. “You're not mad at me?”

Hearing the sound, Wednesday sits up, bringing their faces closer together. “I'm not mad at you.” She wipes Enid's tears away. “It's alright,” she says again.

Wednesday leans down to press the ghost of a kiss against Enid’s lips. “I promise.”

Enid lets out a sigh of relief, squeezing Wednesday in a hug. “Not that I'm complaining, but what compelled you to do that?”

Wednesday sits back up, placing her weight back onto Enid’s hips. Her hands find her bare waist. “I wanted to show you how much I care about you.”

Enid brushes a piece of hair out of Wednesday's face. “I know that you do, silly.”

Wednesday bites her lip and looks away, her eyes settling on her hands. “I don't… I don't know how to properly articulate how I'm feeling.” Wednesday meets Enid’s eyes. “You are patient and understanding, and I appreciate it in ways that words cannot express.”

Enid slides her hand down to Wednesday's arm, squeezing it.

“I want to show you how much I appreciate you and I feel like I fall short constantly. It builds up and I don't know what to do. I know how much you love physical touch, so I've been trying to be more open to it.”  Wednesday’s hand finds Enid’s, and she entwines their fingers. “Then I feel this burning sensation in my stomach whenever I'm near you and I don't know what that means, but kissing you and touching you just feels like the only way to satiate it.”

Enid smiles warmly at her. “Wednesday…” She runs her hand up and down Wednesday’s arm. “Thank you for telling me.”

Wednesday takes a deep breath and falls back onto Enid.

Enid envelopes her into another hug. “I’m so, so proud of you,” she whispers into Wednesday's hair. “I know how much you care about me - it's visible in the little things that you do for me.”

Wednesday’s voice is muffled against Enid’s neck. “What do you mean?”

Enid takes a deep breath. “You always bring me back a strawberry smoothie whenever you go into town without me because you know that they're my favorite. You don't complain when I talk for hours on end. You compliment my outfits even though it's not your style.”

Enid’s eyes widen slightly. “Oh, and that incredible first date that you planned.”

Wednesday shifts her head out of Enid's neck. “I always felt like I did something wrong with that.”

Enid stiffens and tilts her head to look at her. “Listen to me. You did absolutely nothing wrong, Wednesday, and I'm so sorry that I made you feel that way. It was just more than I was expecting for a first date.” Enid smiles softly at her, caressing her face with her thumb. “The fact that you put that much care into making it a special night proves your love to me. When you're determined about something, you have this passion - this intensity. I adore that about you, and I would never dare think about changing it.”

Enid presses a gentle kiss to Wednesday’s forehead and places her head back in her neck. “What I'm trying to say is - you show me every day that you love me. You don't always need the words because I feel it in the way that you kiss me, the way that you hold onto my arm, the way that you look at me in that gray sweater.”

“It highlights your figure,” Wednesday says.

Enid chuckles. “See? Like that.”

Wednesday stays silent, and Enid can practically see her eyes doing their dilating thing. Several seconds pass before she speaks. “I think that I understand. What about that burning feeling in my stomach?”

Enid purses her lips. “That's attraction - lust.”

“Do you feel it as well?”

“Absolutely. I've never felt it more than when I was listening to you just a second ago.” Enid looks up at the ceiling, her face burning from the admission.

Wednesday stays silent for a second. “The burn is not unpleasant. It is searing in a comforting way.”

“There you go.”

“I feel it when you wear that gray sweater…”

Enid lets out an airy laugh. “I'll make sure to wear it more often then.”

The two lay in comfortable silence, Enid’s hand drawing lazy arcs across Wednesday’s back, her other hand weaving through her hair.

“Enid?” Wednesday breaks the silence.

“Hmm?” Enid mumbles into her hair.

“Thank you. For being so patient with me.”

“You're welcome. I'm so incredibly proud of you, Wednesday,” Enid repeats. “That was a big step - one that you did for me.” She pulls her into a tighter embrace. “I love you.”

Wednesday sniffs, burying her face in Enid’s bare shoulder. “I love you.”

“Enid.”

The blonde opens her eyes to Wednesday poking her shoulder, impatience clear on her face. “Wednesday…” Enid mumbles. She rolls over to check the time on her phone.

“It is 10:35 AM,” Wednesday says before Enid can reach her phone.

Enid’s arm collapses onto her bed. “It’s Sunday…” She moans in protest.

“It is unacceptable to still be asleep at this hour. Regardless of the day.”

Enid is awake enough now to roll over to face her girlfriend. “Why can’t you let me sleep in?”

“You should go to sleep earlier. Then you wouldn’t need to sleep in.”

Enid whimpers into her pillow, making a futile attempt to escape Wednesday.

“Enid Sinclair.”

Fuck. “Why did you even wake me up?”

Wednesday holds the book that Enid bought the other day in front of her face. “I finished the book this morning. There are two more in the series. My phone tells me that the bookstore opened at ten. I was wondering if you would accompany me.”

Enid smiles, triggering a yawn. “You’re cute.”

Wednesday sets her lips into line. “I was going to bribe you with one of those obscenely sugary donuts from that bakery in town, but if you don’t want it-”

Enid sits up and swings her legs over her bed. She motions Wednesday closer.

The goth obeys, stepping forward silently and setting the book on the bed.

Enid pulls her in by her waist, tilting her head up. Wednesday leans down to meet her. “You don’t need to bribe me to spend time with you.” She reaches up to pull Wednesday into a kiss - slow and deep. Their lips separate with a quiet pop. “I will still take that donut, though.”

Notes:

I hope that you enjoyed it!

I have never tried writing any sexual content, but I would like to try! This was a sort of trial run to see how people like my style. If full on smut is something that people would be interested in, I would absolutely love to give it a shot!

Thank you for your time!
