Chapter Text
Wake up.
It is not your time yet,
Pure Vanilla.
It had been within the harsh climate of the snow had White Lily and Pure Vanilla prowled, alongside with Caramel Arrow as a replacement for Dark Cacao, and as a guard for the two Ancients even though they could very much protect themselves.
White Lily was shivering, to say the least. Pure Vanilla, well, he was handling pretty okay. Maybe. Okay, maybe not. Caramel Arrow was used to weathers like these; so it wasn't a surprise that she could withstand it. However, the blizzards of snow were not on their side, apparently. It wasn't that bad, but it was still a cold journey.
But that was earlier ago. Pure Vanilla got separated from them; Somehow, someway. If he recalls correctly, a certain Beast took him out of his state of mind. That probably doesn't explain why he got stranded in the first place.
And, oh, to be lost in a freezing temperature? That's worser than bad. That's real bad, actually.
It was only after a few minutes did Caramel Arrow and White Lily noticed their missing companion. The very first thing they did was panic, since— well, he was just there a moment ago, plus he's smart enough to not go in the forest all alone by himself with no people because he'll be absolutely with no supplies and might die from frostbite, or a wolf, or might get tortured to death by Shadow Milk.
Yeah, a lot to take in.
Caramel Arrow remained vigilant, having no cost to afford the lost of another of her teammates. The bow user treads carefully, weapon ready as can be and posture straightforward; arm extended over White Lily. Y'know, just in case. You can never be too careful, can you?
And who knows, anything could be lurking in the harsh environment of the wilderness. As a person who's experienced in the wild herself, Caramel Arrow heeds every corner of movement.
"Stay close, my dame. We must locate where—"
"Pure Vanilla!" White Lily gasped, hands going over her mouth. Caramel Arrow gets alerted from this (well, she might've heard that directly in her ear that's why) quickly running over to the splats of yellow and.. blue.
Blue.
Why's there blue.
The darker skinned woman stopped in her tracks and hesitates to raise her bow, noticing something was wrong. There's someone else there. Someone not invited. White Lily, however, did not halt in her footsteps, too enticed with worry to. Which creates some trouble to Caramel Arrow, and she ends up running over there anyways due to the green soul jam user.
As they got there, the blue sputter of color Caramel Arrow saw came in view. A certain Beast of Deceit, that is. And.. uh, the two males are hugging—cuddling? Ah, not important in the moment right now Caramel Arrow-
"Your Sire, are you okay?" The warrior places a hand on her chest, ignoring the oddly fluffy sight. Pure Vanilla is still awake, that's for sure, she's not too sure about the Beast, however. Too bad, she cares more about the blonde.
"Yes, I am."
"But Pure Vanilla, you're.. bleeding."
"I have to agree with her, Sire, you have an extensive amount of injuries.
"You need to be tended to right away."
"I'm fine."
"..Why's Shadow Milk here?" White Lily noticed (just now, lowkey), sitting on the snow-covered grass to.. well, just observe. It's kind of rude if she just touches Shadow Milk out of nowhere, and it's an invasion of privacy. So, really, all she can do is.. look. She is curious though.
She wonders who he was in the past. Like, how he acted, what was his personality.
Maybe she shouldn't let that curiosity settle in randomly, especially here at all times. Pure Vanilla is hurt, and from the looks of it Shadow Milk is too.
As much as Caramel Arrow wants to know what happened between the two counterparts, she doesn't want to feel like a nosy person. She'll need to ask later on, though, or Dark Cacao will. "We're going back. We will figure when to continue once again. For now, let's head back to base and get you treated, Sire." The bow user put away her bow, ready to support Pure Vanilla up on his feet. White Lily starts standing up from her sitting position.
"Can Shadow Milk come with us?"
...Aaand, Caramel Arrow should've saw that one coming. Look, it's not she's.. a bad person, no!.. she just, doesn't really want a Beast coming with them. I mean, he's their enemy, and he's probably crazy in the head, it's concerning, okay? Who knows what'll happen if they bring him with them. Actually, tons of things. Bad. Very bad things.
But, it's not like she can argue with two Ancients, especially since they're very hospitable to even the littlest creatures. While Pure Vanilla suggested it, White Lily doesn't mind and will probably even consider it. So... Does she even really have a choice?
...
She didn't. Caramel Arrow ended up carrying both Shadow Milk and Pure Vanilla (girlboss, we love it <3), but they did manage to make it back at the Dark Cacao Kingdom. Apparently, the Beast didn't die yet, he just went unconscious and started sleeping the pain away. Unfortunately.
The nurses.. eeh, it was to be expected, they didn't want to heal Shadow Milk. They were too scared and frightened or too hesitant. Caramel Arrow got forced to do it herself (again.) with the help of another cookie, of course. They were just giving her instructions though, which may have not helped. The nurses did, however, aid Pure Vanilla, thankfully. Even though he's not threatening anyways. They gave White Lily a blanket too.
And, oh, she had to speak with Dark Cacao too. She had to do.. uh, everything. Lowkey.
"Are you feeling better now, Pure Vanilla?" White Lily had asked with a smile, sitting near the truthful Ancient's bedding ever since he fell asleep, blanket draped on her shoulders.
"Yes, I'm feeling much better." The blonde lightly hummed, "Please, give my thanks to Caramel Arrow."
"I already did, Pure Vanilla."
"Oh. I see."
"Are you feeling fine?"
"Of course. Don't worry."
"I was just cold, I didn't
get hurt."
"That's good, White Lily. Hopefully you didn't catch a fever."
"Hm, How about Shadow Milk?"
"How is he doing?"
"He's okay, Pure Vanilla. Everyone is okay."
