Work Text:

Pangi was entering the maid cafe, making sure everything went swell! He did own the place after all. It was just Jaron that day. Rek "called out sick" but he was suspicious of the man, after all he did dig out tunnels for months, whats stopping him from doing some other thing?

The bell atop the door rang, which caused Jaron to peek his head out from the kitchen and saw Pangi. He bit his tounge and stared for a moment, before exiting the kitchen from the gate and welcoming Pangi.

"Hello Pangi! Welcome to the maid cafe!" He tried to say positively. He could feel the heat rise up to his face.

Jaron liked Pangi, alot. He could almost call it love. His heart grew whenever he saw him. He thought nothing but perfection out of him.

He knew the date with Derapchu was platonic but he couldn't help feel jealous of the two. He knew he had to confess eventually, but he has to think about it first!

"Hey Jaron! How's it going? Must be hard at work!" Pangi grinned and patted Jarons shoulder. This only caused him to blush harder. He was hopeless.

"I- It's good." He smiled back at the man. He wished he would take those stupid glasses off. He had rarely saw his eyes, he imagined them from the last instance, they were stunning.

"You sure?" he snickered, noticing how off Jaron was acting. "Yeah." Jaron responded quickly. They both sat there for a moment. Jaron felt embarrassment sink in. He had to tell him!

"I like.. Uh. Your glasses." He shifted slightly and backed away from his hand. Pangi laughed at the statement. He found it endearing.

"Aw, thank you Jaron!" He grabbed his glasses and took them off. "Do you like my eyes too?" He said. He pulled this on Zam when they were on their date. He thought it was nice.

Jarons mouth opened agape. They were beautiful. He supposed the wish had come true. He had nothing to complain about.

"I do."

...

"You're really pretty Pangi."

Pangi backed away slightly. He didn't expect that. Not from Jaron anyway. Maybe Derap, they would always joke about that kinda stuff. He wasn't like that around Jaron.

"Thank you?"

"You're welcome."

They stood there silently. Each minute eating away at Jaron. "Soo.. You like fish?"

Pangi laughed. It was nice listening to it. "Nice talking to you too buddy."

He left the establishment. It was only a simple compliment, why did Pangi act like that? Sure, it meant way more than what he said. But Pangi wouldn't have known that.

Weeks past by without them talking. It bugged Jaron, but what could he do?

Pangi had invited him to his hunger games arena. He brought in his clock and hung it on his belt. He had to make sure that cookie farm was running. Maybe he could offer one to Pangi! He sneaked one into his coat pocket and flew off to the arena.

When the game started he and Pangi teamed up. It felt.. right. They were dominating that competition! He had a chance to laugh with him.

They were talking about taking out Ash and Squiddo. Jaron didn't know why Pangi was so persistent on it. He agreed regardless. Taking them down means two less people to worry about.

"They have that type of chemistry.. you know?" Pangi started, explaining to Jaron why they should do it.

"We could have that type of chemistry too if you know what I mean."

Pangi was stunned. He didn't know he had that in him.

"What? Okay- if you insist?"

Jaron was confused at the statement. Letting out a "huh" before pointing at Ash and Squiddo.

After the game, the two met in private in the tower they had claimed.

"Jaron?"

"Yes?"

"Will you be my boyfriend?"

Jaron sat there for a second, pondering. This all felt so fast. This was his chance. He wanted this.

"I will."

He handed Pangi the cookie and looked out the tower, watching the sun fall, or atleast Pangi did. Jaron glanced at his clock, maybe he could wait just a minute until he went back to his farm.

Notes:

Sorry if the endings rushed im. Quite bad at endings and often do that.
