Work Text:
At Mittens Fluff 'N' Stuff's home, Bundles Snuggle Stuff was in the kitchen, looking at a roll of aqua colored Duck brand duct tape. Bundles picked up the roll of aqua duct tape, put it on her wrist, shrugged, and then went to show her big sister Mittens her new fashion piece. "Hey, Mittens, you can make a bracelet out of a duct tape roll!" Bundles said as she showed Mittens the roll of aqua duct tape on her wrist. "That's cool, Bundles, but remember what my friend's girlfriend, Laney, said, don't ever sleep with a duct tape roll on your wrist!" Mittens told Bundles. "Don't worry, I won't," Bundles said. Bundles then went to her bed and read a book of one of the author's most recent fanfics, "The Crazy Pink Drink." "I'm tired. I'm gonna go to sleep," Bundles said. Bundles clapped twice to turn off the lights, just like the Clapper switch of the 80s, and then went to sleep.
The next morning, Bundles was still in her bed, not wanting to get up. "Bundles, little sis, it's time to get up," Mittens said as she went over to Bundles and tried to wake her up. "I don't wanna get up," Bundles said. "Come on, Bundles, we got so much fun stuff planned today," Mittens said. "Go away!" Bundles told her big sister. "Bundles, you really need to get up," Mittens told Bundles. "Okay, fine, I'll get up," Bundles said. Bundles tried to get up, but couldn't. "Mittens, I can't get up!" Bundles told her big sister. "Bundles, you're just being lazy," Mittens said. "No, seriously! I cannot get up!" Bundles said. "Come on, Bundles, it's not like you're stuck to the bed or something," Mittens said. But a quick swipe of the blanket off of Bundles proved otherwise, as aqua duct tape was all over Bundles as she was taped to the bed.
"Bundles, how did this happen?" Mittens asked, all surprised at the condition of Bundles. "I must've accidentally slept with the duct tape," Bundles said in a nervous tone of voice. "Bundles, little sis, I told you never to sleep with duct tape!" Mittens told Bundles. "Okay, I'm sorry I didn't listen to you yesterday, but right now, could you get me out of here?" Bundles asked. "Okay, I'll try, I mean how hard can it be?" Mittens asked. "Hopefully it's not too hard! Now get to it and get me out of this bed!" Bundles answered. And so began Mittens' attempts to get Bundles out of her bed that she was taped onto, and spoiler alert, this is probably gonna be harder than Mittens thought, knowing how much tape is holding Bundles down on the bed with!
Mittens started off by trying to pull Bundles out of the bed by Bundles' arms, but that didn't work. "I can't get you out!" Mittens said as her first attempt to get Bundles out of bed failed. "Let's try feet," Mittens said as she then pulled at Bundles' feet to try to get her out of bed. "Ahh! Aaaah!" Bundles said as her big sister pulled on her feet to attempt to get her out of the bed. But just like pulling on her arm, that did not work either. "That doesn't work either!" Mittens said after pulling on Bundles' feet. "Maybe you could get a knife and cut me free," Bundles said. "I got the knife," Mittens said as she was holding up a knife, which was obviously a steel butter knife because a sharper knife would've made things not pretty at all. Mittens used the butter knife to cut through the tape, but that wasn't strong enough. "Dang it! What am I gonna do now?" Mittens asked.
"Get some really sharp scissors!" Bundles told Mittens. "These should work," Mittens said as she showed the scissors. Mittens tried to cut the tape off of Bundles with the scissors, but that did not work out either, as the tape was just too strong for the scissors to cut through. "Nope," Mittens said as she threw the scissors on the ground. Mittens then got a spatula to attempt to slide Bundles out of the bed. "I know, I'll slide you out with this spatula," Mittens said as she attempted to slide her little sister out by putting the spatula underneath her, but that did not work either. "Well, that didn't work. Don't worry, I have a bunch of other ideas," Mittens said. "Oh no," Bundles said, worrying about what some of these ideas that Mittens had in mind might be.
"Maybe I could try peeling off the duct tape with this carrot peeler," Mittens said as she brought out the carrot peeler. Mittens tried to use that on the duct tape, and that didn't work either, but at least Bundles didn't get hurt or anything. And yes, this was shown in the original video this episode is based off, but don't actually try that at home. "Nope," Mittens said after trying that, but that did not work out either. "Can opener?" Mittens asked as she showed Bundles that. "No way!" Bundles answered. Mittens then showed a whisk to Bundles. "How will that even help?" Bundles asked, as a whisk is obviously not a cutting tool. "Mittens, big sis, none of your ideas are working," Bundles told Mittens. "Well, it looks like you're stuck in there forever," Mittens said.
"Wait, Mittens, I forgot! I always sleep with a box cutter under my pillow!" Bundles told Mittens. This was not actually true, though, as Bundles luckily slept with the box cutter under her pillow this one time only, or else it would've been really dangerous. "Okay, that's just weird! I'm not telling anyone we're related!" Mittens told Bundles. Mittens got the box cutter out from under Bundles' pillow. "There it is," Mittens said. And so, Mittens used the box cutter to cut only the tape between Bundles' legs, and that instantly freed her from Bundles' duct tape shackles. "I'm free!" Bundles said, all excited, as she finally got out of bed, with all the aqua duct tape still stuck to her. "That is the last time I sleep with duct tape," Bundles told the viewers. Bundles put the box cutter in her drawer, for a safer place to store it in, and went off to go on with her day, as the episode ends right here.
