Subaru's biography: Subaru is a witcher, 56 years old, born in 1216, at the time of 1272 he is 4 years younger than Geralt, he also does not know him, but is friends with Eskel, who he calls brother, and Eskel calls him too, he also knows Lambert and likes to joke about him.
He was taken by witchers from the Griffin School at the age of 10 in 1226. After the herbal test, he, like Geralt, underwent additional mutations, half of his long hair lost its black color and now the upper half of his hair is ash-white, and the lower one remained black, he also prefers to shave. Also, the iris of his eyes received an absolutely black color, which seems as if his pupils are not there, unless of course you look very closely, his pupils are vertical like all witchers. Because of these eyes, his evil gaze became even more intimidating, which makes it difficult for him to find a job. He was also the last of the group of 4 children during the medallion test, which left him psychologically traumatized and hard to make friends, until he met Eskel. He was also gifted in magic, he can take an incredible amount of chaos energy from the atmosphere, thanks to which his signs take on a full form of witchcraft. He can also mix all the verses, which gives his signs additional properties. He is also good at fencing, not as good as Geralt, but better than most witchers. In the world of Re:zero, only members of Astrea can beat him in fencing alone. He is quite mediocre in alchemy and was not very interested in it, he knows all the basic oils and a couple of elixirs: swallow, petri potion, owl.
After he reached the age of 20, he was sent to the highway, where he began to practice his craft, which he hated with all his heart. After almost a year, he returned to the school, but found only destruction. According to my idea, the griffin school was destroyed in the 13th century and not in the 12th, that is, in 1237. Although Subaru is 56 years old, he looks 23. Due to mutations and his good genes, he retains his youthful appearance, unlike other witchers, but his look and bags under his eyes, for especially attentive people, give away his age. His body is also decorated with many scars, but there are three that speak of his experience and strength. The first is a triple claw scar exactly on his chest, going from left to right, it was received from the royal griffin, whose stomach Subaru subsequently ripped open. The second is a burn on his back from a spirit of the sun, no one could expel it for decades, which is why it became stronger and stronger. The third one is on the cheek under the right eye horizontally, he got it from Leo Bonhart, he wanted to kill Subaru, but of course he failed, if not for Bonhart's tricks, Subaru would have been able to kill him, but he distracted him with a bomb and slashed his cheek with a sword as a farewell.
Subaru was a withdrawn person without a goal or desires and because of this it was hard for him, but it was until he met Eskel, probably the wisest person Subaru met. Thanks to Eskel, he began to seem more talkative and confident, and most importantly he wanted to find some goal, but which he did not yet know, after some time they began to call each other brothers. Also after his meetings with Eskel his character also changed, he began to joke sometimes very sarcastically, which he could even surpass Ram, he began to appreciate what life gives him and treat people better. Because he is a witcher from the Griffin school, he understands what chivalry, honor, duty and courage mean. His equipment includes a masterful set of Griffin school armor and swords, respectively, he does not use a crossbow, as he does not consider it necessary due to his first-class magic.
