Time slowed down.
And yet it was going too fast at the same time.
Tokoyami wouldn’t make it. That’s what the doctors said.
His organs were too messed up from the villain attack. Not even the best healing quirks or surgeons could save him.
But Katsuki still held out hope. Because at first, they told him that Tokoyami had hours to live. But those hours had come and gone, his heart still stubbornly beating.
Then they guessed days, and those had gone by, too.
His liver had almost shut down. But almost was what Katsuki held onto.
Almosts and maybes and Tokoyami’s hand.
That was all he had to cling to. So he held on tight and refused to let go.
Tokoyami would live through this. He knew. So he held on.
