Chapter Text
Kim Dokja was clueless.
He had always relied on stories to be an outlet. To be an escape from the outside. There, he could do whatever he wanted -be who he wanted. In all honesty, he just wanted to be someone else than himself. That’s why he admired Yoo Joonghyuk. His ability to endure was phenomenal, and his very essence was captivating.
And when Kim Dokja awoke, he was confused as to why his favorite protagonist was right in front of him.
“Eh?”
“EH?”
“EHHHHHHH?”
Kim Dokja had just awakened, and his heart had already almost beat out of his chest.
“What the hell’s wrong with you?”
Yoo Joonghyuk had a confused look on his face, with a slight glare, wondering why his companion looked like he just saw death.
Kim Dokja stayed there with his mouth agape, wondering how a fictional character was right in front of him.
“Are… Are you real..?”
“Obviously?”
Kim Dokja then glanced around, realizing he wasn’t in his room. The previous night, he was reading the latest update of TWSA in his bed until he fell asleep.
“Um, could you tell me where I am?”
“In the KimCom house.”
“What?”
“Do you need me to repeat myself?”
Kim Dokja immediately shut up when he realized that Yoo Joonghyuk looked like he was about to kick him in the gut.
“Are you okay? Why do you seem so disoriented?”
Yoo Joonghyuk didn’t know what to do. He had never had to deal with this kind of problem before.
“That's what I should be asking you! Why am I here and how are you right in front of me?”
Everything Kim Dokja had been worrying about for the past couple minutes spewed out of his mouth towards Yoo Joonghyuk, who in the moment, looked absolutely dumbfounded.
“Perhaps I hit him in the head too hard last night..” Yoo Joonghyuk thought to himself.
“Well, you’re here because you live here. And I’m here in front of you because I’m your companion.”
“Repeat that second one.”
“I’m your companion.”
Yoo Joonghyuk had an expression of annoyance on his face with an underlying tone of worry.
“You clearly have some sort of amnesia. Wait here.”
Yoo Joonghyuk then left the room. Kim Dokja didn’t know where, but that was the least of his problems right now.
“What on Earth is going on right now?” Is the only thing that he could think of currently.
When the surprise wore off, he realized how his head was pounding and how he was sweating a waterfall.
“Ugh I hate being sick…”
He thought back to a few moments ago, where his favorite character was standing in front of him.
“He certainly looks like a protagonist.. How can someone be so beautiful?”
As Kim Dokja was thinking about Yoo Joonghyuk, his eyes fell heavy until he finally drifted to a light sleep.
